  • As I was spending the weekend in a Prestige 680 it was very surprising to discover the master cabin on this 50ft boat competes with the master on a 680!
If you have Med cruising in mind this boat could be a very interesting option for you to consider! Caribbean too!
Join me for this opportunistic test which came about thanks to the great team from Ancasta Marine in the Balearic Islands. After spending 4 days with Matt and his crew and understanding how well set up they are in this part of the world I would not hesitate to recommend speaking with these guys if Med cruising is on your bucket list!
What an amazing destinaiton to escape the Southern Hemisphere winter and with a boat like this you have space and privacy for all your guests.
    Please Enjoy.

What a stunning boat. Cats are amazing volume for the length. Added to the bucket list of purchase.

Outstanding understanding of the design!! In particular the use of the storage areas above the engines, solving two issues for extended cruising with guests.

Thanks! Yes I could see a number of problems being solved by this design so it's going to be a great boat for the Med.

Great review. As always. Love the design. Interior. Volume. Only been on one cat. She looks very rolly. For a cat. Too much height. Not enough beam?

Yes rolled in these conditions for sure but they were quite rough. I just wanted to show you guys what she’s like in bad stuff. I wouldn’t be leaving port for a delivery if it was forecasted short and sharp waves like that. I think the beam is designed to work for the Med. This boat is a real Med cruising boat and would work very well in that function as you get the same master cabin volume as a 70ft mono

thats the most UNcomplicated, easy to use pilot station i ever seen.
i like simple vs tons of tech.
U said the pilot seat arrangement felt quircky for some reason, i bet if you slide the seat forward and up (if up is possible), youd be more comfortable.
A beefier seat with shock absorbtion and forward and raise capability, im thinking would do you a solid.
    That seat is too generic.
    protoype display?
A big 'NEW' is written on the forward hull.
im partial to cats and trihulls.
    I LOVE THIS ONE

Yes I agree with your point about raising the seat, I felt quite low in that position. I guess it didn't bother me too much as I would just go upstairs to the flybridge if I wanted better vis

Redesign a space for sea keeper

  • @user-gq4ch1pd4c

Top heavy and it shows in what appears to be rather calm waters. Problem is that this M48 has a much narrower beam than a standard 2:1 length/width catamaran. Engine rooms are ridiculous: trying to sell 'storage' at the expense of easily being able to check sea-strainers/oil etc.... great boat, but some things really weren't well thought out.

Yep - the layout was pretty cool but the handling left a lot to be desired….

It looks like it would be difficult to pick up a mooring ball and/or rig a bridle for anchor??

The living space was awesome on this boat but the driving experience was akward. So yes.... agreed.

Hey Dan, I love your channel b/c you show smaller boats (RIBs, etc) as well as some yachts. would love to see you show some more explorer yachts like Aquaholic and Nautistyles, but please keep showing the smaller boats too.

Thanks for the feedback Jason. I am trying to get on some more Explorer Yachts before the year is out but you'll definately be seeing plenty of normal sized boats also.

Have you reviewed it? If so my apologies for not seeing it yet

@@pauldowlan3285 I was a dealer for Sirena and visited their factory in Turkey so I filmed and spent a day testing the first Sirena in Australia. It is a good brand and well built with a nice motion through the water. Very wet going into the waves due to the design of the bow but comfortable. I would not own one in Australia due to other brands being much better exstablished and you would get hammered on re-sale here but for Europe it's a option worth considering.

Solar for house batteries is a good idea but for main propulsion its a waste of time in Australia.

No, no she's closer to 50ft but she has similar volume to a 65ft+. I spent the weekend on a Prestige 680 and the master cabin on this cat was bigger.

all master in beam in cat , like this n aquila 44 quite annoying.. when ur partner open the door, n u still quite lazy laying on the bed.. directly exposed & losing privacy coz directly access to common area from crew in kitchen n guest watching tv can easily see u
