This is my review of the Motorola RAZR 2023, the value flip phone that cost half of the price of the Z Flip 5, and has a lot to offer - including a vegan leather wrapped body! I like the RAZR 2023 (also known as the RAZR 40), and I think it's an excellent phone on sale for $499, normal MSRP $699!

I dont know how but Motorola is becoming what Oneplus was when they started. Good quality, well supported budget phones.

Moto really pissed me off when they brought the g power down to 720p from the 1080 increase in like 2 years. What a dumb move that was. 2021 I think? Glad they brought their game back up again.
Motorola is not well supported, lol. Great phones for the prices though!

Cricket has it for 199.00 and yes you can get a clear protective case for it. I love mine.

I bought mine during the black friday sales, saved a couple of hundred.
Great phone! The included clear frosted case looks awesome. Saved me having to buy one on eBay. It should suffice to protect the creamy leather finish.
The 33w fast charger is super fast. Only takes around an hour to fully charge.
Loved the perfumed box ... it had my guessing how cologne got on the box, but then I found out that Motorola put a strong fragrance on the box through their survey asking me "so what did you think of the unboxing experience?". I was like why on earth are the asking me about unboxing. Then the next question was, what did I think of the fragrance in the box and it was like righhhhht, that explains it.
I love the Ready For feature. Even with my 7 year old Samsung TV it works so well. Its brilliant!! Turning phone apps into web pages. None of the other reviewers mentioned this feature so what a huge surprise it was to discover this. It's super responsive. It works with the wireless mouse I have for my TV however the wireless keyboard just doesnt want to work. I checked all settings on the phone to no avail. So I'm stuck using the mouse to click on the onscreen keyboard..
I'd heard of Samsung's Bixby but wasnt aware Motorola had something similar.
The Razr 40 makes for an awesome secondary phone. It's super snappy, although maybe a little too fast. Battery life is excellent after settling in (after a couple of weeks).
Technology has become fun again.

Ive had my Razr 40 for a couple of months and for £480 its a wee gem. Cameras are far better than most reviews say. I have an S23 as well and I get just as good results with my Razr. I prefer Moto's post processing to Samsung's. The camera app has had two updates since I bought it. Battery life is brilliant. The hinge on the Razr 40 feels better to me than the Z Flip. Outer display is more useful than I expected. For the price I cant fault it. Amazon do a great leather eggect case for it that looks as good as the vegan leather original finish.

Just picked one up, $250 via metro. I own a s20 ultra. Most every day photo , even at low light it does well. Only issues is no zoom. 128GB is hard if you do a trip and want phone to record videos .Best advice, buy OTG drive+ clouds save during a trip. I just wanted a fun phone and to see I enjoy it. I do hate watching RUclips on it. Wide screen don't rotate unless you leave it on auto under Android. You also get side bar...😢.
Good review. My motorola stylus got damaged so I definitely want to upgrade. This looks like a great replacement.
Unfortunately I've had bad experiences with Motorola and they did absolutely nothing to help me fix the issue. But really like this device. Somehow some way Samsung always calls me lol.
I was interested in getting an HONOR phone ( I used to have HONOR 7) but by chance I read customer reviews which put me off ever buying HONOR products in the UK. Customer service in the UK is horrendous judging by the reviews on Trusted Reviews
I love this phone. Not laggy at all. The cameras are great. And yes Amazon has very nice cases.

Best Buy is still offering the razr+ at $699. I just bought it today. I’m an apple girlie and my whole family has apple but I’ve been wanting to switch to the Z flip but couldn’t pull the trigger. Since I have an extra line on my plan that’s not in use at this time, I decided to buy the razr+ to test it out since it’s on sale. If I like it, I might switch to Android and use it as my main phone.
Would you still recommend this phone right now? I can get it for $360

i don't know if anyone has already said, i didn't read the comments. yes, there are aftermarket cases available. i got one from ebay. also, "vegan leather" isn't a thing. it's textured vynil.
I just bought this phone yesterday and o my I am impressed, I had to get used to it, I kept feeling like I'm gonna break it every time I bend it when I'm so used to a regular phone that doesn't bend I had the regular moto Stylo 😅....over all everything about this video is definitely on point 🤩🥳TY hahaha I'm still getting used to seeing this phone being able to do bend like this 😲🤯😁 And the Dolby Atmos omg 🤯 spectacular 🤩

Can someone help me. This may sound like the stupidest thing ever. But I'm going on an airplane tomorrow and I was wondering if my Motorola razr flip could get through security due to the magnets.
I returned this one, compared to the Samsung Flip series, I didn't like the hinge and build quality. I prefer Motorola's UI vs Samsung's however. The camera stabilization and autofocus in anything other than great lighting are not great. I watch RUclips on my phone, but I don't enjoy watching videos on this phone. With all that being said, if you're looking for a flip, I'd go to the Razr+ model over this one.

No, the cameras are much better than most reviews suggest.
Yes it's true, if you take pictures and are used to slightly better quality photos, you will not enjoy the camera quality. The phone can be laggy at times if you try to demand too much for it.
This reviewer stated in his video that this phone is not for taking, "4k video". Lol You can always purchase and return it if need be.

$500 it is considered budget? I mean has cellphone technology has been at a halt? for 500 dollars you can get a lot of technology and I mean just because it has a "good camera" it does not justify the price of newer phones.
The title says budget flip phone. It’s contextual. When flip phones usually cost $1000+, $499 is a budget flip phone.
@@TechOdyssey Yeah, I am doing my research now and what I see is that people are not paying the asking price and are getting them below the price point which is good but still other electronics have gone down in price and it makes me think that probably getting a 500+ dollar phone is not worth it anymore.
@@gambitgambles You can get good phones for cheaper than this. The point is that it's a cheaper flip phone, not a pure budget phone. If you don't want a flip phone there are plenty of great options.

The budget is in reference to the phone itself, not your budget. Flip phones usually cost $999+, so $499 is a budget flip phone. Not a "budget phone"
But the z flip 4 is now even cheaper better chip better cameras. So this Motorola is a hard sell if u consider u can get z flip 4 for around 300 350.

I’ve seen this for as low as $99
The idea is great, however the phone degrades rapidly. Initially the phone connection was terrible. At first I thought it was a problem with my service provider verizon but switching the sim card back to my old device I discovered that the phone itself was to blame.
At 1 month the crease where the phone folds created a white line in the middle of the screen. The "vegan leather" began to peel off.
At 2 months the screen would randomly show only gray scale- no color.
at 3 months the phone screen went entirely black- resetting the device did not correct it. At this point the phone was completely unusable.
I contacted motorola for a refund and was told the window for a refund is only within 14 days of purchase. They advised me to send them the phone for repair and attempt to sell it myself on ebay...
DO NOT BUY!

I've had this phone for three days. this phone sucks. Battery is poor. Flipping open the phone to use it basically a gimmick. comes with a preinstalled screen cover that they warn you you shouldn't take off. WTF. The audio out sucks even with dolby atmos. No micro sd card slot. Gets very warm that is noticeable. The front screen is a waste of my time because I have to open the phone to deal with it anyway. Can't say much good about it. oh, adding a case makes it a huge brick in your pocket..
