Awesome black drum and impressive for inshore
Thanks! Obviously I had to hold back in how many I shot. The freezer is only so big. Although I do have lots of friends that are happy to take my fish.
That’s so awesome I always wondered if we could do that around here I’d love to give it a try.
It's really great to see how many fish are down there... sometimes I wonder!
Wow bro I go fishing over there for mangrove I always do good now I know why.. nice video I will to try spearfishing there also
Good luck!
Never thought to try there. My mother lives just off Pineda causeway. May have to give it a shot next time I'm visiting.
All the causeways are loaded with fish
crocodiles are gnarly here next to pineda. seen gators too. Sharks also bad.
Hey Jesse, Hope you are ok and doing well. You haven't posted in 6 months so hang in there guy. I have become very interested in spear fishing via free dives. It was great to see a good quality video of inshore spear fishing. My goal will be to focus on the wrecks and coastal waters of the Mississippi Sound. At 66 I might be late to the sport, but with classes and exercises I feel I will be exploring barges, wrecks and other features in the sound.
Nice! I certainly recommend a freediving course as a minimum. I live in West Palm Beach now and am starting to shoot videos again.
Great spearfishing Jess!
thanks my friend!
Nice one pal.
Watching from the U.K.
Great! Let me know if you ever end up in Fla. We will get in the water.
Thanks I will do, keep up the good work and I’ll try to here as well.
of all the bridges you were under which one has the most snapper you have seen? thx and nice video
Not sure, but Pineda and 192 are pretty loaded when they are in
Nice mango. Subbed
Thanks!
What boat ramp is that you are using? Thank you
Can you see in the water pretty decent with some sort of light?
You could experiment with it. I have and with so much sediment, I feel like I can see better without one. Kinda like diving in heavy fog with brights on.
What is the depth ?
Are you free diving these spots? Great video dude!
Yep. And thanks!
Consider getting a better gun/reel set up, diving bridges with no reel on your gun is quite dangerous
Are you still fishing here?
I live in West Palm Beach now
You ever see sharks?
sometimes, but typically only when I am in the ocean.
it is illegal to spearfish at jetties and bridges
Hey Joseph, it depends on the county and on the bridge and Jetty. I am going to be doing a video soon to cover some basic spearfishing laws.
Thought it was illegal to spearfish near bridges or jettys
It's legal as long as you stay out of the channel and fly a dive flag. You do need a valid fishing license. I've been doing it since 1969. Just don't shoot snook, trout or reds. The FWC po-po will get ya!
@@tonycorbitt9016 ya I belive your right. I investigated it and something about you got to stay so many feet from a fishing pier if the pier is under a bridge. But interesting I live right there where these videos were taken know them well.
I’ll be down there from the last week of March into the first week of April. Would love to try this out if you’d be willing to be a dive buddy!
