I remember when this was a toll causeway. Used to fish while watching the dolphins round up their meals. Other times it was crossing over to Patrick's AFB to surf. Good times!
This is a great video. I never fish Pineda anymore cus the quality has just gone down but this makes me wanna take my kayak out and soak some blue crab.
I have been free diving here for years shooting sheepshead and catching stone crabs . Its always nice to go in winter when water is cold and clear . Thanks for sharing
Hey Travis, The fishing regs state that you can't spearfish within 100 yds of commercial or public fishing piers, or portions of bridges where fishing is allowed.
State Road 404, the Pineda Causeway, is an east-west divided highway currently running from Interstate 95 (I-95) to SR A1A at Patrick Space Force Base, Florida
Is there any place under the Causeway one can park and fish for these monsters? I am looking for a good saltwater fishing spot around cocoa, since I have to drive from Orlando. Can someone help me out no boat.

This used to be dad and I’s favorite spot to fish growing up. A lot of memories and mangrove snapper!

My pleasure Joe!
Huh. I live in Viera and my office is in Satellite Beach. I drive over this every day. I'll have to turn the morning drive into a fishing trip.
I used to fish there every weekend. Sure do miss it.
It is unbelieveable underwater there. there are fish everywhere!
How about the Banana River bridge of that causeway?
Can't believe all the drum you're seeing!
I know. It is awesome to see underwater. Some of them are around 40 lbs!
Any Goliath grouper?
How deep is that ? Thank you
Great video, but what side of the bridge where you I mean the bridge is pretty long thanks.
I wouldn't mind seeing the 520 causeway or the max brewer bridge
the 520 Causeway is my next one!
Keep us updated
Approximately how deep is the water in the areas where you spearfish?
Are you able to spear on these locations?

Hey do you spear on the Patrick AFB side or towards Merritt?
There are fish on both sides.
@@FloridaDivingandLobstering people literally just tryna park in your spot that shit is so annoying
what spearguns do you use?
When the vis is bad I use a little cressi Geronimo. I don't think they sell them anymore in the US
How close can you get to the fish without them getting spooked
When I lay on the bottom, I wait for them to come pass by me

TRUCESEEKER there’s plenty space under the 528. You can drive right under the bridge
@@mathusvaiaoga9787 Thanks
Sucks that pollution killed off most of those fish
Hoping you're still active. Is it still this way? Any bounce back? Hate to hear that and I know the water situation isn't great in Florida currently
