500 years will pass and if humans are still alive they will look upon this era as the pinnacle of musicianship. It was the right mix of people, personalities, vibes, and love that produced this kind of music. It won't happen again. This will never, ever, ever happen again.

I was the Road manager for a band called HOOKFOOT thru the late sixties and early seventies. We did a British Tour supporting HUMBLE PIE in 1973. One of the best times that I had! It was around the time of the ‘Power Cuts’ which made it very interesting. One of the Venues we did was South Parade Pier, in Southsea, and we had a Bomb scare! Caused by some ‘Brain Dead’ calling it in because he couldn’t get tickets due to a sellout! Those were the days.

Great example is the late Ronnie James Dio

A testament to his singing is that he has the most smoking ass background singers ever and still holds the center of attention!
Steve marriot and paul rodgers. Greatest blues/r&b rock singers ever!
LOVE in the biggest sense of the vibe✌🏽💗🎸
One of the most under-rated rock bands of all time. Humble Pie is incredible and friggin steve marriott was mind-blowing
Steve Marriott, dude. The man can friggin sing!!!
Steve Marriott was small in stature. Musically he was a giant, I could listen to him sing all day it's a shame what has happened to the music industry,
Stevies energy is stratospheric. Wish he was still among us.
Two stone cold legends - Steve Marriott and “Whispering” Bob Harris!

What the world needs now... Even Plant didn't hit the sweet spot that Steve Marriot did. His vocals will haunt the halls of rock and blues forever.
Beautifully said, l love that.
I don't know why, but I love Stevie's singing whereas Plant just gives me earache.
Plant has admitted to modelling his vocal style after Marriott's. He was a big fan from the Small Faces days.
I never cared for Robert Plant.
Just imagine being in Humble pie, your contribution would have to be so cool or it’s not in; you’re not in.
Plant, had a great bluesy vibe, but didn't have soulfulness Steve had. Nothing wrong with that. Different singers.
Steve Marriot and Janis Joplin on stage together would've been like the theoretical 1,000 year flood event.

Bill Hilliard omg I was just thinking this lol !

Robert Plant, Paul Rodgers and Steve Marriott. They don't make them like that anymore

Check out Jay Buchanan from Rival Sons , right up there with all of them , trust me , I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
