I'm always excited when I see I have at least a few of these! I'll add kudos to the Baby Banter. I like it so well, it makes me wonder about the arguments in favor of the Kizer Yorkie.
Hard to argue with these selections Brad. Although now that I've got the UK PK in LC200N a lot of my other small knives are getting a lot less pocket time.
Great list I also have been leaning toward smaller knives. In my case, it's probably a choice driven by old age. Love my 1929 and am looking forward to Baby Banter soon, USPS willing.
Thank you sir! Yeah it's funny, I order big knives and really love getting them and fiddling with them, but then I just don't end up carrying them... it's an oddity. I think you'll really like the Baby Banter... it's just a flat out fun and well made knife.
Grate choice on the Lil Native, I can easily see that making the list. I've not handled the Suru, I'll need to check it out. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I like this category too and have several of these. Just opened a spyderco Chaparral and already know I should have gotten one sooner. Lil Native is another goody, Unfortunately not inexpensive but they are very good.
I agree with the couple of your selections that I have (I'm left handed, which limits my options a bit). The Dragonfly is one of my favorite knives, though I'd like to see Spyderco make more variations with G10. Also, just in case you haven't tried it, the Sencut Scepter is great for the price.
Hello. A very nice selection. I also find myself leaning towards smaller knives than a couple of years ago. In moderns i like the size of the Penguin and the Rat 2. otherwise i carry traditionals more and more. Bigger knives have their uses of course and i have quite a few but for general edc i find small to medium to be better for me. All the best.
Great list of small knives Brad! Ria, 1929, and Yorkie are definitely some of mine as well!! I have the Runt 5 right now and that is one snappy little knife!!
Agreed! Although I think on some of the newer models in the Vanguard line I've noticed new improved clips, which is nice to see. Thanks very much for watching and commenting.
Niiice selection! 👌 Big knives are cool, but I carry and use small knives way more. There's something very compelling about having a mini masterpiece tucked away, right at hand, ready to be useful. ;)
Good question! I think the Yorkie is more my typical carry and will likely carry it more often, but the Baby Banter is definitely in the rotation at the moment.
A quick question. Have you had any problems with the lockup on the Ria? I had heard some folks reporting the lockup getting worse over time (not a single failure but more like wear?). It's a nice looking knife and I'd like to get one but not if there are QC issues.
Hi Rob, so I've not personally had any problem with my Ria and I use it and disassemble it fairly often. Always goes back together no muss no fuss. Likewise I've not heard those reports, but that's not to say they're untrue. Mine is an early version, not sure if they "changed the formula" so to speak since then. Certainly any mass produced knife is bound to have some duds, but overall my experience with Artisan/ CJRB has been very positive. If you end up picking one up, let me know what you think. Thanks for watching!
@@mildmannerededc Thank you for speaking to your experience with the Ria. I do own a Small Feldspar that I very much enjoy. You're right, in a production environment, a few are going to have problems. I'm thinking a few Ria's had some issues and I just happened upon the discussions which made it look like there was a "problem" when that is not truly the case.
I gifted the Banter to my buddy Rai over at Everyday City Carry, he seems to like it a lot. Of the two I prefer the Baby Banter, for my purposes it's a more compelling option. Thanks for watching.
im looking for a knife but ive got a list of must haves, sub $50 sub 3 inches blade bearings flipper blade hole or studs liner or frame lock deep carry clip lanyard hole the only knife that fits that ive seen is the Honey Badger. the only thing i didn't like was the scales but know you can buy replacement scales it seems to be the perfect knife. Do you know of any others that fit the bill?
Appreciate the comment/feedback. I do usually try to do that, but didn't here, I'll go back and update the description with the list and links... no problem 👍🏻Thanks for watching.
Yeah, ya know, front flippers are funny, I did almost include the Civivi McKenna on the list, but front flippers take a bit of getting used to and aren't quite as popular, at least that was my thinking. Feel free to email at mildmannerededc@gmail.com Thanks for watching.
I really like the Finch😊
Kershaw Shuffle 1 would also be a good pick. It's really sturdy...but small..
Thanks for the shout-out Brad! Aw, Mini-Archbishop misses you too. But we CUT STUFF every day! And I flick it menacingly on zoom calls!
Ah the oooold zoom brandish... excellent! Thank YOU Matt for all the support!

Very excellent vid. Love the choices. Some unique ones for sure. Thanks
Nice, my favs of mine are lil native, yorkie, and fox suru

Awesome! Chap and Lil Nat are definitely great options. Appreciate you watching and sharing.
Great choices.. I only have one out of your 10. The Spyderco Urban and I agree it's an great edc.
Thanks man! The Urban is an awesome choice indeed! Really appreciate you checking out the vid. 👍🏻🤙🏻
First! Woot! Thank you for your content!
Ha! Thank you for your support, really appreciate! Have a great weekend.

Awesome list. Glad you shared.

Always. Thanks for sharing Brad
Great list of small knives Brad! Ria, 1929, and Yorkie are definitely some of mine as well!! I have the Runt 5 right now and that is one snappy little knife!!
Right on! Ria in the pocket today as it happens. Thanks for checking out the vid man!
A wonderful list. The ria and mini archbishop are two of my favorite small knives. I'd like to get dragonfly one day. Great video Brad 👍
I am a big Kizer fan and have to agree. The stamped steel pocket clips on their budget lines of knives leave a lot to be desired.
Agreed! Although I think on some of the newer models in the Vanguard line I've noticed new improved clips, which is nice to see. Thanks very much for watching and commenting.
Love that 1929.
It's a cool knife. Surprisingly excellent slicer. Thanks for watching.
@@mildmannerededc those modern traditionals are my favorites. Great video. Subbed.
They are pretty cool, I agree. Thank you very much for the support! Really do appreciate it.
Great selection!
Thanks my friend!
Tons of great choices man! I enjoy these videos man
Thanks Jake! It was fun to pick the 10 I landed on.

Good stuff. Bought the Civivi based on your earlier review and really liking it.
Right on! Which Civivi did you pick up?
@@mildmannerededc The Baby Banter. Only had it a day but so far like it.
This was a great top 10 list!
Thanks very much, appreciate the kind words!
@@mildmannerededc anytime 😊
Love the Urban :)
One of my favs too!
Nice video. I tend to gravitate towards smaller knives.
Thanks man... yeah, same here. Have that ebony Luna in the pocket right now.
Which do you find more useful/like more? The baby banter or the yorkie?
Good question! I think the Yorkie is more my typical carry and will likely carry it more often, but the Baby Banter is definitely in the rotation at the moment.
cool selection Brad
Thanks man!
If you live in Washington State what blade company do you get your automatic and OTF knives?

Great models i also like spyderco chaparral, ka bar mini dozier , kizer shard. Merci 👍
Chap, Dozier and Shard are great options 👍🏻 Thanks for watching!
I know you're really digging the Mini Banter, but does its larger brethren get as much use? Which if the two do you prefer as an EDC?

im looking for a knife but ive got a list of must haves,
sub $50
sub 3 inches blade
bearings
flipper
blade hole or studs
liner or frame lock
deep carry clip
lanyard hole
the only knife that fits that ive seen is the Honey Badger. the only thing i didn't like was the scales but know you can buy replacement scales it seems to be the perfect knife.
Do you know of any others that fit the bill?
A few that come to mind are the CJRB Ria, CRKT Piet, CJRB Maileah, Civivi Mini Mastodon, Real Steel Luna ECO. Hope that helps.
@@mildmannerededc thank you my friend, yes big help, gonna check em out. 8)
For those of us that are not “brand aware” it would be nice to have a list in the description.
Appreciate the comment/feedback. I do usually try to do that, but didn't here, I'll go back and update the description with the list and links... no problem 👍🏻Thanks for watching.
Mild 👌
It’s a solid list but you do realize you are buying the same knife blade design over and over right?
Asurprised at the lack of front flippers… I need your email please

Stupid knife laws compell me towards small knifes. Whenever I have the opportunity to carry a large knife, I do.
WE banter not Civivi
The Banter is WE, the Baby Banter featured in this video is Civivi. Thanks for watching!
@@mildmannerededc no kidding ? Wonder why they switched
Yeah I was kinda surprised too, but I guess because it was more of a budget offering they felt if made more sense in the Civivi line. 🤷♂️
