@@Robert_Thomas832 If the miniChamp had a layer less, it'd be perfect, but as it is it's just too thick (for me). I have a Manager, Rambler & miniChamp. Always end up switching back to my Manager; lighter, has a pen, tweezers (or toothpick), blade, magnetic Phillips, nailfile and small flathead screwdriver. Thing is perfect IMHO as a keychain carry or 5th picket knife.
Cool. I recently got the Jetsetter to try the magnetic combo tool, pretty handy as I tend to carry a main blade and find that on the small SAK a bit flimsy. Have a good day.
Classic SD is overrated. The Manager is (was) the best by far.
6:37 my wife and I have had the classic Swiss Army knife for over 15 years, and replaced them many times after having to toss them before going into a concert.
For the issue with the keychain loop being close to the knife, I use a lobster claw keychain clasp on the knife side, and the lobster claw to attach to keychain. This makes it very easy to detach from clunky keys and it does not get in my way when using that knife, which I do multiple times per week. You could also do it the other way around.
I've had the Spyderco bug on my keys for a coupe of years now, and it comes in handy! No issues at airport security either!
The Victorinox Rambler is slightly thicker than the Classic SD that you included on your list. It adds one more tool. A combo phillips head screwdriver/bottle opener.
Also it puts the blade at the opposite end from the keyring, which makes it a bit easier to use.
I have 58mm Victorinox Signature Lite- the brother of the 58mm Classic SD. On the place of toothpick and tweezers there are LED light and pen. Good tool!
Plus one more combo tool with bottle opener and Philips crewdrover- the Signature Lite becomes a Victorinix Midnight Manager. It another good tool!

I'm having the "NITECORE NTK05 UltraTiny Titanium Keychain" for about 3 years and I'm really satisfied - a small and light product, with replaceable blades, and even though it's really thin, I feel that the construction is of high quality.
Pocket samurai and Gerber is awesome looking little things. And wesn looks like a little beast of a knife.😊

The best keychain knife is the Walther micro PPQ
I carried that SOG key for years to always have something to open boxes, etc. passed thru airports many times. Then a sport arena security caught it going in and took it. Airports should hire them. lol
Since then I’ve carried that WESN. Removed its belt clip for better keychain carry. It’s LEGIT knife. 100% a high end blade and easy one hand open. Perfect as a usable key fob
I’ve carried the spyderco bug on my keys for nearly 10 years and the thing is fantastic
I use the Swiss tech utili key. The blade is great for scraping. The very aggressive serrations destroys cardboard boxes and comes with a very handy Phillips head screwdriver. Also like the SOG it is very discreet
Otacle K1 is another good one with blade, scissors, bottle/can opener/small flathead screw driver tool & tweezer.
The Nitecore NTK05 and Giltek RUK-P are worth a peek if you want ultralight and ease of airport travel
I think keychain scalpels deserves its own video! You’ve just mentioned a couple and there’s certainly a lot more out there.

The kershaw is the only one with a bottle opener, that's one I'd go with
I've been carrying the Kershaw cinder on my keys for 10 years. The only downside is that I would have been willing to pay more for a better steel. It dulls, but can open boxes still.
I have been carrying and using the sog key every day for over a decade.
Another one I'd highly recommend is the Bokerplus Mini Techtool 1, or the Ruike S11 - both are the same, made in the same factory, under different brands. I have the Ruike version. It has a Sandvik 12C27 blade, with a good thickness for it's size, and a reasonably strong backspring.
You should see a Victorinox rambler. Same as the classic SD + one blade PH1 screwdriver/bottle opener and the attachment point on the other side.
I use a Nextool Taobar, as I always have a multitool with me I need it for something my Leatherman P4 doesn't have, a boxcutter and a prybar!
I have nine of the eleven knives, but i always carry the Spiderco Ladybug, with secure backlock and one hand opening and the Victorinox SD but not for it's knife but great scissors
As another option, I've found a small folding knife on Aliexpress that uses size 24 scalpel blades. It's only slightly larger than my Opinel No. 4, and is somewhat stronger, in my opinion.

my pick is the wesn microblade then the victorinox. the wesn feels so smooth when deploying and i have the g10 which gives me a good grip. but on the other hand the swiss army gives me a pair of scissors which i use a ton.

The Leatherman Micra is the best. You get a knife, a Philips screwdriver, a flathead screwdriver, a precision flathead screwdriver, a pair of scissors, tweezers, a bottle opener, a can opener, and a nail file all in a package small enough to fit on your keys.

Compare the Opinel to all the others for the normal knife task of cutting things and the others have no chance.
I had that opinel on my keys for about a year. Eventually, the blade began opening in my pocket. There's no way to lock the blade open or closed. If it did, I would still be carrying it.
@@cal593 You could probably tighten it by tapping the pin - but it is worrying.
@@cylentone after I cut my finger last time, I decided it isn't worth it. Otherwise, it's an excellent choice and is great for anywhere except your keys.
FYI SOG's link-site doesn't work. Amazon? (in Italy it's not possible to import U.S. knives directly from manufactures).
Yall are going to hate me .... But Besides the first key knife which is honestly the best option for a keychain knife. I purchased a 2$ keychain miniknife from temu that beats most of these for the job lol

So SOG knives name is just "SOG" which it got from a vietnam era government program called "MACV-SOG". The "SOG" in the original government agency did stand for "Studies and Observation Group" but the the company "SOG Specialty Knives" is just "SOG".
Let’s be honest, just box opener just looks the coolest and isn’t a drag to have on your key chain.
The victorinox rally sd is a better option then the classic SD, the extra Phillips screwdriver and bottle opener are very handy tools plus add no weight/size to the knife.
I keep a Copper Kershaw Cinder. Lost my original black, so I had to get the copper, right? It's just too handy.
A bit heavy and why didn't Kershaw upgrade the steel ? ( D2 or VG10 maybe even S90V)I like the knife of course

J’attendais de votre part ce genre de vidéo car le choix est pas évident pour le moment j’ai le bandit mini de quietcarry ( en rupture de stock chez eux) idéal en taille mais coupe pas assez bien même en l’aiguisant et pas vraiment noire comme je le souhaite

The best for me is Leatherman SQ PS4, but the Vinox Classic is very good too. To open a bottle you can use your teeth :-) or a newspaper or a door hole or ... Vinox classic is the best choice for normal people. I have some of those knives (actually I have many knives), but all at all for me PS4, for any other Vinox Classic. For the money, best music.
The Victorinox Manager replaced the the Classic on my keychain.

SOG is a good hidden lifesafer, but while it has a big SOG logo (not hidden), it will be taken from you before it could be usefull ^-))
But BEST EDC keychain boxopener is Kershaw -- it`s actually better than BigIdea TPT, because it`s not just box opener, also a bottle opener!
UPD: TPT can also open bottles, but until razor blades could be dammaged)
Got a Spydie Bug, and the Kershaw….but the SAK with aftermarket Carbon Fibre scales is the one on my keyring……Spyderco is a bit of a Chinese toy…

I have a Victorinox on my keys and it has a lot of options in a small light package, the rest are one trick pony.

how come "D2" is premium? this is a shitty low budget steel. In comparison the sandvik steel on Opinel is far better than the D2... my opinion.
