Thank you so much I have been moisturising wrong I was wondering why my hair was always dry but this was the method I needed I always heard moisturise and seal but I wasn't sure what I was doing I never knew it was water first then oils and moisturiser it really helped :)
@fingercombeauty Your welcome and thank you so much for watching. We really value each other as an individual and friend. Thank you again for your kind words :)))
@s0cial32 You must use water before you apply any leave-in and then sealing is last. Water is the ultimate moisturizer, which means only water has the ability to moisturize your hair at 100%. Oil will not do that. I hope this helps :).
I love y'all! Seriously you give sooo much helpful information that its crazy....just when I think I know a lot about natural hair you both end up teaching me something new! Keep up the great work ladies....we truly appreciate you!!!
I'm a dude and have been growing my hair for almost three years. A few tragedies later and its about 5 inches long. HA! Anyway, just wanted to say that I'm grateful that finally there is intelligent methods and knowledge to hair growth, not just try this or that. So, yes! a Grandious applause to you. -Cal
@FruityMelody Thank you we deeply appreciate it. As far as your concerns with your edges under your wig, I would suggest castor oil. I know this oil helped tremendously when I use to wear a weave, years ago (Cipriana). Also make sure if you are wearing a protective style that your edges are never pulled tautly or too tight. This can cause you to lose your edges over time and also make sure to wear some type of cap over your hair when wearing wigs such as a stocking cap. On another note........
@cheri8604 Thank you so much. Happy we could help and yes that trick was something I had learned from trial and error so I am glad I can share to help you :)
my hair is very much like yours Nikisha and i do the exact same thing when i comb it in twists and it really does help... i don't do it everyday (every other day maybe) cause i'm kinda lazy when it comes to the hair but i try... and i don't wear it out a lot unless i'm going to a party! :)) keep it up ladies! it's nice seeing ppl embrace their natural tresses... :)
@Sweetlady1916 Thank you :). Don't add too much oil. I'm very light on the oil and concentrate most of it just on my ends. I also like to use Giovanni Direct Leave-in Conditioner when I wear my hair out, that helps with body! But remember, not too much product :).
@lifejourney2bnatural Yes, this process should help tremendously with split ends but as in our Part 1 of this tutorial don't forget to cut your split ends off before you seal.
@FocusOnGrowth Thank you! Black tea and/or vatika oil are great for hair shed. If you type in those key words in our search on our urbanbushbabes site there are 2 posts about them. You will also want to make sure your eating enough protein and getting your daily vitamins :).
@DestinyAlready I seal my whole head with a small amount of oil/s. I concentrate most of the oil on my ends though because those are the most fragile while the roots are the most healthy :). So you can seal it the same way but just a small amount.

@aanaayss I was natural all my life until middle school, thats when I started perming and straightening my hair. I cut a lot of it off to about ear length in college and started to grow my curls out from there. :
@luvmyhair2 Your welcome and thank you for watching :). The oil I used in this video is Treasured Locks African Argan Elixir which I bought from the Treasuredlocks website. I also use a mix of extra virgin olive oil, a small amount of coconut oil, and a few drops of rosemary or lavender oil. I like to switch up :).
@MsLadyBluesWorld Lol, thank you so much:DDD I bet your interlocks are beautiful!!!! In some of our past videos we discuss conditioners that work for us maybe these could work for you as well.
@atinob43 You should see detangling day, lol. Thank you, the top is by Nom de Plume by YaYa from Urban Outfitters but I purchased at a vintage/thrift store for a steal ;)
great vid! i love to wear my hair out but definitely must add moisture and seal daily. nikisha, have you ever added some aloe vera juice to your spray bottle?
@MsChina627 We love you! Thank you so much. Honestly you all inspire us, so it just motivates us in continuing to share more and more. We truly appreciate your words, Thank you again :)
@Stylevloggers215 There are times where I want to straighten and have straightened it for a different look and its totally fine. I just don't straighten it often because I want to avoid heat damage :).-Nikisha
@pincurled I was natural all my life until middle school, thats when I started perming and straightening my hair. I cut a lot of it off to about ear length in college and started to grow my curls out from there. :)
@bjkdAnc3r Thank you so much, you made me blush! I don't put too much product on my hair because that will weigh it down and take out my happy frizz. It also helps to do scalp massages every day, that can help add body :). Nikisha
This is going to sound so stupid, but I've never moisturized my hair I would only use water. I keep it braided my entire life. I'm want to grow my hair longer. I really do not know what is enough moisture. I have very fine hair and id say its 4b but very thin in density. I find my hair is dry in the morning. I don't know...
@miagirl Thank you so much: D Hey we say if you have curly hair that is similar to another curly hair woman, ethnicity is a moot point! So most definitely you can try these techniques: D
Nikisha how do you maintain your hair at night? sorry u proberly have answered this question already, I have tried looking but don't see the question anywhere so I just have to ask. thanks for answering in advance. if possible maybe u can do a vid. on your night time routine.
@shopfun91 Black Tea Rinses and Vatika oil are great for hair shed. There are 2 posts on our urbanbushbabes site if you type in black tea or vatika oil in our search bar. :) These posts will give you the run down!
@KumakoXsd Thank you, thank you :D Definitley comes natural since we have been friends for so long. We could go on and on and on, lol. Thank you again and Happy Holidays to you.
@iamsillywarm Of course no disrespect :) Yeah I think the “Cousin it” aspect or the girl from the Ring movie would be pushing it for us as well. Well to be honest if we both felt like it was too much we would have chopped our hair a long time ago. I think the more familiar you become with our regimens you will understand how low maintenance they really are. As far as identity you can never control what others see and identify you if it’s not hair then there are million other things. cont'd --->
you guys hair are so beautiful i'm trying to get my hair around that length but i don't wear my hair out i keep them in interlocks but i don't use any chemicals in my hair i need to clip my ends though i be scared to lol but i'm trying to find a good moisturizing conditioner
Thank you so much I have been moisturising wrong I was wondering why my hair was always dry but this was the method I needed I always heard moisturise and seal but I wasn't sure what I was doing I never knew it was water first then oils and moisturiser it really helped :)
@CalvinArsenia Thank you so much! It's a breath of fresh air to have a positive male voice around these parts! :)

Good point about not twisting too tightly. Thanks! :) Have a Blessed New Year!
I appreciate your video. I needed someone to really explain how to seal my ends and why it is important.
@FruityMelody Thank you we deeply appreciate it. As far as your concerns with your edges under your wig, I would suggest castor oil. @spidey99100 Hi! Other factors that contribute to our length would be protective styling, low manipulation, scalp massages, and a healthy diet! :)
@lifejourney2bnatural Yes, this process should help tremendously with split ends but as in our Part 1 of this tutorial don't forget to cut your split ends off before you seal.
@Picturesque2u Your welcome and thank you :D Have a Blessed New Year as well
