Okay Cipriana, I remember seeing you on the BGLH blog and for some reason I couldn't actually believe your hair was that LONG and THICK! It is so BEAUTIFUL. You were one of the many inspirations that pushed me to go natural! Thank you and Nikisha for the videos!
To be honest I just found myself focusing on the roots of my hair more so than the ends, never thought putting some oils at the ends cause the only time I put oils at the ends of my hair is when I am finished greasing the scalp of my hair and not really paying that much attention to it.
i'm going to watch you guys more often. I have really fine hair and my ends keep on splitting! I'm going to follow this. I never knew how to do the sealing method and i'm newly natural.
@marsimone1 Yes even though castor oil is a humectant, 100% castor oil is not water soluble which means when you seal your ends 100% castor oil will lock in that moisture :D
MissJeriB I'm so glad you found us and we could help. Women with fine strands really have to take extra care. There is a wealth of great info on youtube but we will be uploading many more videos so we are looking forward to continuing to help :)
@kufre355 Oh WOW!!! What a compliment! Thank you so much, I am extremely flattered!!!! Nikisha and I thank you so much for watching. You really inspire me with your words! Much love -Cipriana
Castor oil is a humectant and works best in the summer months. If used in the winter, you have to remember to hide the ends of the hair or else one will end up with dry hair.
@barose1 Thank you so much. We really appreciate your kind words and we feel you! The natural hair journey is an ever continuous process and that is the beauty of it. Thank you again :)
@Leezamoon Thank you so much and for the referrals we so appreciate your support and we love to hear you are enjoying the videos. Thank you again for spreading the word. Blessings
Thank you Cipriana. I have always detangle my hair while its wet. and i always realize i have so many broken strands in the comb. but i tried you advice about detangling before washing and puttin them in twist and to my surprise when i examined my strands the where all shedded hair, not broken starm strands. thank you girl!!! love the videos. but the way we have the same hair type.
@Picturesque2u Hello and thank you so much and I wish we had a chance to talk with you as well :D Oh we never implied that water is restricted to your ends we are just discussing sealing your ends because our ends are the most fragile. So people who may have difficulty in sealing ALL of their hair every week or frequently during the week because.....continued
@TwilightRavenBlade Thank you so much, we appreciate you! So glad we could provide this tutorial for you! We really want to help everyone achieve their hair goals in the new year :D
Thanks for the vid - you ladies are fab and humble at the same time -- this is a huge plus!! Sealing is so important and I lock in the water with a good oil and it has helped!!
@JCeemuzik Hey JCeemuzik. Woooooo Hooooooo. Yay!!!!! I certainly realize that dry detangling is not for everyone but when it does work....magic happens! I know this method really worked wonders for me so I am glad it is working for you and my pleasure, this is what we are here for. Thank you so much :DDD
@AhLiCiUh94 Not a dumb question at all. People have their own methods, so this is certainly an option for others but I do not use heat. I stretch my hair through braiding and bantu knots. I will be doing a video on my stretching process :)
@MightyMite76 We will do hair tutorial strictly for the process in which I stretch my hair but what you saw here when I bantu knotted the front section of my hair is basically how I stretch all of my hair. Also on our UrbanBushBabes website, I go into detail in how I stretch. Again we will definitely make a tutorial on stretching.
@Picturesque2u of busy schedules then we are just explaining that it is important to at least seal your ends frequently if you do not have the time to seal all of your hair until your next washing session or your next sealing routine for all of your hair and not just the ends.:D
Oh i love this vid, i lovelovelove you guys energy, vibe, spirit.... I've recently cut my hair off so it's only about 1 to 3inches depending on what part of my hair it is. I basically water it a few times a week & i find the gel i'm currently using is doing a good job of keeping it moist for a few days. I detangle in the shower using my fingers & conditioner. I use sunflower, avocado, jajoba and almond oil, all of which i also add to my deep conditioners; Emu oil on my edges. Thanks again
@irieislandchic We soooooo can relate! We were victims of not sealing our ends a while ago as well but it so important to incorporate sealing into your regimen. Yes, we were laughing away in this one, lol but we will definitely keep up the laughter. Thank you so much for watching. Much love :D
@Lildott0001 We missed you!!! Also by Brianna, do you mean Cipriana (no worries, I have one of those names, lol) :D The shirt is from Urban Outfitters but I got it for a steal from a vintage/thrift store called Beacon's Closet in NY. Thank you for watching :DDD
@adaezetula Shedding is a hard one only because so many factors can come into play such as hormonal changes that our bodies are constantly going through, poor diet, lack of sleep, lack of water intake, high stress levels, medication, illness, post pregnancy, etc.....Hopefully this may help if one or some of the previous mention apply to you.
@maximuslyricus Thank you so much and for watching. Lol, you are awesome but rewind away we love this so thank you and yes, we have been besties for over a decade so the videos are probably just going to get crazier. We have to warm you up first, lol :D
@dyschickaqt Hello :D Yes you can but we are just discussing sealing your ends because our ends are the most fragile. So people who may have difficulty in sealing ALL of their hair every week or frequently during the week because of busy schedules then we are just explaining that it is important to at least seal your ends frequently if you do not have the time to seal all of your hair until the next time you wash your hair. Again, this can most definitely be applied to your entire head.
@ UrbanBushBabes...thank you! I recently (2 weeks) started sealing my ends. Somehow, I missed this very important lesson to seal and moisturize in my 11 month au naturale hair journey. Silly me! LOL! Keep laughing (while sharing and teaching). It is refreshing. One love! :-)
@UrbanBushBabes I love the work you've done here and on your website. I'm already trying some of the recipes you posted there. I've been natural my entire life (all 33 years of it) and I'm still learning something new everyday. Happy New Year to you too!
@TheAunelly Hey :) Well since you hair is about 4 inches in length you can do this process with all of your hair. Bascially the same thing you would do when sealing your hair after washing except you are not focused on the ends. You have a big advanatage with short hair because all of your growth is new, which means your ends have not aged much so they are less likely to split.
@StarringNash Hey ;D Yes, one day we will have a video of our washing process. We love to share and the fact that you are finding our videos informative just makes our day! Thank you so much and Happy Holidays :D
Hey ladies! What made you decide that you only need water at the very ends of the section as opposed to the entire length? I was surprised when you didn't spray the whole section. PS You were a joy to watch and I'm so glad we crossed paths at HairRules (don't know how long I would've stood outside. LOL!) I wish I had a chance to chat w/ both of you.
I really appreciated this video and all of the advice, suggestions, and recommendations. I am definitely a fan and will spread the word to all of my friends. P.S. I enjoy laughing will you ladies. God Bless
@Amorayah TWAs are beautiful! I was there before so just be patient, practice healthy haircare methods and a great diet and you will be on the way to reaching your goals :D
@KumakoXsd Even healthy hair can be susceptible to frequent drying so if you need to seal the next day and your hair is of normal or low porosity you go right on ahead and seal. Water is the best moisturizer.
Question: Do you exercise or work out at all? I power lift 4 days a week and alternate with HIIT and can't imagine washing only once a month? How do you deal with sweating and washing so infrequently? TIA!
Hi ladies, just wondering, in your upcoming videos, do you think you'll ever do one of you wash day and your process? Just wondering... lol. I love your videos they are very informative and I get really happy when there's a new post. Have a wonderful Christmas, and I look forward to your new videos.
@MeliiinaP Thank you so much :and no my bun is not heavy, lol. It definitely has some weight, lol but is not heavy at all. Thank you again :D -Cipriana

@mstiffanydouglas No, this has just has been a regimen that works best for me. What you heard, I'm sure works well for many others but just not for me. I am just hear to share, provide tips and info about my routine and you can tweak it to fit your preference :D
@Boyhead1973 You are welcome and thank you so much for watching. Thank you again but we feel you are all very important and plus you take the time to comment and show love, how could we not be humble. We would be fools not to. We really feel blessed that we can help in any way! :DDD

I wanted to say thanks for the suggestion. I tried the end of my twists and it has worked exceptionally well. My ends loved it.
To be honest I just found myself focusing on the roots of my hair more so than the ends, never thought putting some oils at the ends cause the only time I put oils at the ends of my hair is when I am finished greasing the scalp of my hair and not really paying that much attention to it.

so i miss the first two minutes of the video drooling at Cipriana's hairstyle
How do you know what are split ends? Mines has straight hair at the end of the coils and other ones are just feeling bush like texture but are coils.
@Roxberrie Thank you so much. The best way to prevent fairy knots is to make sure your hair is moisturized and to detangle frequently :D
