- Finally, the Halo got good again!. Cheers to Warpig ( / warpugss ) , Sam ( / nearlysam ) and Foehammer for joining me for this.
It still had the same cutscene lag, connection issues and input lag that the other Halos had, but at least there wasn't constant frame lag as well. The game played well, and ODST is one of the best anyway. Had a great time with this one. Plus I got to play around with the Theatre mode to do some silly shots, I really enjoyed those parts.

It’s still funny because there is literally never a “good” ending in a Halo game, either someone gets left out in space, a city gets glassed, or hundreds of millions are dead. But the fun thing about Halo is that besides the shitty situations, there’s always those small victories, such as in here when Alpha-Nine gets the asset out and they survive but the city gets glassed, or in Halo Reach when, even though the entire planet was glassed, they arguably helped to save humanity by getting Cortana to the Autumn. That’s Halo’s charm, at least in my opinion, there’s no grandios amazing ending, not everything is peachy, but it’s those small victories that makes everything bittersweet.
Every battle is a fight for staying alive... if one can make it through another day of fighting... then there’s hope still left to gain in the air

EDIT: Here's my headcanon on why he's at 2 places at once. Dubbo isn't a mortal being, he's more like a ghost like entity that can possess more than one body at once, even if across the galaxy. The bodies he possess take form to his preferred voice and appearance.

I do the same thing as him. After completing the Halo games on Legendary numerous times, one of my favorite personal challenges became keeping as many Marines alive as possible. It’s tough, but they’re fun to keep around and they become like your comic-relief sidekicks, who make funny remarks or do some surprisingly awesome things every now and then.
Yeah, the marines are a non-negotiable part of the Halo experience. I still remember when I was a kid, and I just flatly wouldn't do the latter half of Halo since you didn't get marines anymore.

I went poking around, and the plan to drop into the carrier was literally called Operation: BUMRUSH, and one of the ships the ODSTs deployed from is called "Say My Name."
But I couldn't find any information on the other ODSTs, who definitely should have survived as well but I guess would have been in a different section of the city, which would explain why we never see any?

I'd buy connection if it weren't for the fact that I, on a hardwired connection, get just as much lag as my friends on a wireless connection. Worst part is, *only* the campaign does this. The multiplayer works perfectly fine.

Tomboy Heaven and First One In, Last One Out are badass scenes
Hi! I'm an avid halo fan, and obviously I've always been trying to find various fixes to the input lag issue, so I wanted to share it with everyone here! (By the way, I am going to post this on random halo videos, so if you've seen this before, that's why!)
first fix:
Open settings (your computer not thegame),
go to gaming,
go to xbox networking,
wait for status (if its fine skip this),
if its not fine do 'fix it'.
this may or may not work but its worth a shot
second fix:
Right click your time at the bottom right and go to adjust date/time,
make sure time is set to automatically,
press sync now.
third fix:
Go to the bottom left and type in 'windows defender firewall' (this exactly),
on the left side go to 'turn windows defender on or off'
make sure it's on for both private and public networks.
DO NOT PREFORM SETTING'S AUTOMATED FIX AFTER THIS, DO IT BEFORE!
Forth fix:
Right click on the windows icon on the bottom left,
go to windows powershell (admin),
once its open type in 'netsh int teredo set state disable'.
NOT REQUIRED, DON'T DO IT UNLESS IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING!
fifth fix:
Open the lefthand search bar and type in control panel,
press 'view by category' and do small icons,
then click on 'network and sharing center',
on the left side press 'change adapter settings',
right click on any settings that you're not using, then click 'disable'.

I replayed this when it came to PC. That part where you fought the hunter in the building. I didn't even realize there were hunters outside. I walked inside, looted, walked back outside, didn't see anything. Went back inside to see if I missed something and as I came back downstairs I got blindsided by a hunter and I nearly fucking shit myself.
I'm glad to have confirmation that the cause of Halo 3's problems was Australia's internet being awful and not 343 massively screwing up Halo 3's launch.
