I assume you know this but if you collect all the audio logs before encountering him and you escort him all the way he'll open up a room and if you follow him you'll see him walk up to a dead person He then says you've learned too much and shoots you in the fucking face
That officer was sent by Kinsler to confirm that Sadie's father died when his laboratory froze. Since Virgil refused to allow the cop through, the cop wasn't able to reach the laboratory and was nearly killed, being saved at the last minute by the Rookie. The cop was also unaware of the fact that Kinsler had died several hours earlier, as he presumably lost contact with everyone. When the cop learns that the Rookie plans to keep going down, you can tell that the cop is disgruntled, as he's aware that it'll complicate his plans if another human is nearby. Ironically, his orders to confirm the death of Sadie's father didn't even matter at that point, as he was the only officer alive in the city.

8:03 fun fact: the space elevator actually rises up into space when it breaks, which is accurate to how a real life space elevator would react to a low altitude break
@@osiris_the_great6861 Basically, what holds up the space elevator is inertia. It's like when you swing a bucket of water in a circle, it wants to pull away from you. The elevator is so high up that the rotation of the earth causes its inertia to pull it away from the planet.
@osiris_the_great6861 A space elevator is held up by centrifugal force on the cable itself and a large counterweight at the top of the elevator. If you cut the cable near the ground, it's the same as swinging a ball on a rope above your head, then letting go of the rope. 3:38 This Easter Egg was changed from the OG ODST from the 360. Originally, it said "Destiny Awaits" and was a bit different visually. The poster foreshadowed Bungie's next game after Halo was over, Destiny, and it was completely remade for ODST's release as DLC content for the MCC in 2015. It was changed to the "For Her" poster because Microsoft and 343i didn't want to reference Bungie due to them leaving the Halo franchise. 7:38 Yes, you can't hijack all Banshees. BUT, there is a singular Banshee on NMPD HQ that is hijackable and is (I believe) the ONLY hijackable Banshee in the entire game. 12:17 There were 2 animations in Halo 3, they were just less distinguishable from one another. The first is the same seen in ODST, meanwhile the second had the player forcing the bottom of the Hammer's hilt just a bit higher, looking as if it's looking for a shot to the head. The second melee animation was changed in ODST to the player smashing the skull of any enemy with the Hammer's head.
11:17 Riding the jump seats of the Scorpion was also possible in Halo CE and CEA. It's a feature that I wish would reappear with Spartan players, even if it were to be a Campaign exclusive feature.

Actually in Halo 3 there is a way to get one of the anti-aircraft wraiths without it exploding and you can drive it and use it It doesn't require any mods or glitches it's a genuine function You just have to know how to do it
You can do a lot of these in the other games. For example: you can quick scope with any weapon in any game.
Hell yea, another EBR video!
Brings me back to the good days
I think fans just see "7" references in every corner, like the 49 one
Wasn’t Forge stabbing the Arbiter in Halo Wars technically the first usage of a knife?
I came here to say this but wanted to make sure it hadn't been covered. Halo wars released 7 months prior to odst
“Bladed side *of the gravity hammer*”
7:44 you can hijack banshees but not the traditional way, if you kill the brute pilot and are fast enough to spam enter vehicle you can use the banshee as normal
The Drone "Leader" is the only drone in the game to hold a plasma rifle, as well. I’m pretty sure, at least.
SPOILERS FOR HALO: NEW BLOOD
Ironic how Mickey’s pod is the one that hits Rookie’s pod, causing him to be “lost” for over 6 hours and presumed dead. Years later Mickey’s defection to the insurrectionist would lead to the Rookie’s death
Been waiting on this!
This is such a beautiful game. I really wish they made a multiplayer for this.
Cool video, though I think a couple of the "seven" references could be a bit of a stretch. Though I can't outright deny them either
You should acknowledge that this is MCC, given the poster was different. Also, I’m pretty sure you can also see the plasma repeater from Reach on the plasma rifle paper.
The way the dude in your thumbnail holds the magnum is fucking insane lmao
That horse emblem is a chess piece.
3:38 in the Xbox 360 version, they had a different poster saying "destiny awaits" which is a not so subtle reference to bungies next game series, Destiny.
the feeding ammo chaingun animation was present in halo CE as well.
Great job finding all of these
Would’ve been cool to see Rookie lower Dare's gun. :(
Damn... so Mickey done Rookie dirty TWICE.
I love Halo, the gameplay, especially the soundtrack. This by far has to be my favorite. 10/10. Halo itself w Chief is powerful & punctual. ODST explores that other side, when you're not so powerful. Explore, be a bit smarter, smell the (dead) roses. It's dark but not dark like SAW. Dark like a sad movie on a 50 degree rainy day with a candle burning & the window open. Short & sweet. This game was perfectly adjunct to traditional Halo.
If Dares oilfant is destroyed, a dead Rookie model Wil apear
3:38
The poster was originally a reference to the then unreleased game destiny that was in development at this time but 343 changed the poster
