- Every Halo campaign has tons of details, glitches and Easter Eggs. Here's a video showcasing 117 of them you might have never noticed in Halo 3.

What's your favorite detail, glitch or Easter Egg in Halo 3? Should I make 117 videos for the entire series? Let me know!
If you're wondering, the Morse Code at 9:20 translates to:
"frogblast the ventcore": A phrase heard in the Marathon series
"SABABWL": A quote by Martin O'Donnell. It stands for "shiny and bumpy and bursting with love!"
"Don't Make us Kick Your Ass": A classic Bungie saying
I think all the funny lines, my favorite is from a brute I heard one time: "MY FOOD IS FIGHTING BACK!!!" Probably referring to me or a marine.
I haven't finished the video yet but I find it cool that you can take Johnson's lazer before fighting guilty spark.
For me there are three: You will need to put the Mythic skull on so they survive,
My most favorite is if you destroy the phantom that comes into the Cartagrapher on the Ark using a fuel rod canon. The green grunt will survive and not attack you despite having a plasma pistol.
The other two are the brute control banshees at the second tower on The Covenant. If you high jack them, they will be weaponless and will try to melee you. Then the three banshees at the third tower, if high jacked. These brutes will use *BATTLE RIFLES* if you get them out.
Spark assisting against the enemies during the seige blew my mind. I never noticed that before.
Legitimately good ‘SECRETS’ video, actually did not know 80% of these. My favourites were:
1) the High Charity locations returning (Mausoleum of the Arbiter, Council Chamber, Sanctum of the Hierarchs, Bridge)
2) Spark talking to Tragic Solitude
3) the useful vehicle dashboards and Hornet AI
4) calming the workers
5) the extra dialogues/ transmissions
Mad Respect for making stuff like “pistol details” one fact instead of stretching it out and taking up 10 slots
16:36 Rip random longsword pilot. Went out like a badass.
Yea,I never heard that before 😢
"goodbye guys" kinda hit me in the heart
"I ran out of bullets? Bullshit! I AM THE BULLET!"
Going out like a champ, hitt em hard Marine.
he is no random to us. he is, was a hero.
@@Kvitravn. he lost his avionics though not bullets
17:24 if you swap guns with the odst's as they are running towards the pelican they will stay and keep fighting with you.
I like to keep them from the beginning of the ark to the end of the mission if one of them does I go back to check point and after wars I like to think that they are the same ODSTs on the covenant who I also keep to the end of the mission my last play through had me realizing I lost one when I blew up the scarab (I landed a hornet and had a boarding party I had the check point before I could save him rip mr rocket ODST you died with a bang
I love to keep my marines and give them the best weapons.i like to give them sniper rifles.
They just want their guns back bro
GREAT job, this hit my nostalgia hard and you found some really cool and unique things that changed my perspective on how much work went into this game. Really well done!
Wow, I thought this was gonna be a lame list video with super obvious stuff, it wasn’t! I learned a lot! Subbed!
Thanks for the sub!
You gotta make more of these
You can see the forward unto dawn in the previous cutscene. If you look when the camera cuts to the marines you can see the hangar bay.
Bonus for number 52: You can assist the marines fighting with your BR and they can actually survive, however they simply run forward and despawn out of sight
Favorite is the message of atonement from Mendicant Bias. Followed by the Marine that takes you to the scarabs.
Microsoft Sam is also the voice of fnaf characters in sfm animations most commonly the puppet. Also love all the facts I knew some of them but alot were surprising
25:16 I remember when I noticed this I got to the platform the Banshee was on but got utterly disappointed because I couldn't fly it.
6:57 I do that sometimes to flank the brutes
22:57 bruh fnaf old memories lol
16:35 "I'm hit I'm hit, lost avionics, gonna try and hit their carrier, goodbye guys" R.I.P KING
The unheard hero
Banzai!
A legend that will be always remembered.
Never Forget
Well I'm sad now.
37. Confirms that the music in Halo also exists in its universe
Or maybe a covenant brute was playing video games on the job

Funnily enough, the prophet of regret actually sings the Gregorian Chant in halo 2.
In halo two some of the prophet holograms he is speaking like the halo theme
Chief got a playlist on in that helmet
My comments keep disappearing for some reason, so I won't link the image, but the morse code at 9:20 says "Don't make us kick your ass". I spent an hour finding an app to translate It lol
True hero right here

np guys ;)
Played Halo 3 for 14 years and never knew you could shoot through the deployable cover with bullet weapons. Edit: And the Hornet Pilot who's designed to take you between the Scarabs! That's super cool, I'm probably going to play the mission like that from now on.
Dude same
Fun fact tho, the deployable cover can only be shot through like that on campaign, in multiplayer it works "normally"
I found that when I accedentally put in in a doorway and tried to shoot it and the grunt that was Infront of me started dying
I actually got shut down by scarab the very first time I play this mission doing that. I was like "wtf bro ? never gonna let a marine drive again". Then just proceed to suicide land on the scarab
Same tho
The extra lore building dialogue that appears on certain map points or from the radios is very impressive attention to detail
One of the things I absolutely love seeing in level design, especially when its not an open-world game because it makes it clear that things are happening outside of the rails too.
Halo 3 had the most incredible attention to detail out of all halo games
Except anything to do with the Brutes 😸😂😂
@@nateanonymouse1583 the brutes got a mixtape
Fun fact, the dead elites for number 56 are actually intended to be the same elites you see get dropped off from the phantom and enter the crashed cruiser. The AI identification for the spec ops elite is written wrong in the code so that's why it spawns the elites with randomised Armor rather than the spec ops varient
That makes alot of sense
The same thing is true for the sword Elite at the very end of the mission gravemind in halo 2 I think he is meant to be a honor guard
@@anidiot2284 yeah that is true also. He's meant to be an honor guard ultra. Sometimes he does spawn with an honor guard helmet but he spawns with a councilor helmet, minor helmet or no helmet at all as well. There's also a dead brute honor guard in the level high charity that has the same problem. The brute has tartarus' model with the honor guard armor on.
I always wondered what happened to them... this makes me sad ._.
@@michaelphillips2329
Actually, according to a GeneralKidd video, he was actually meant to be a zealot.
I've been playing Halo 3 my whole life and there were so many details I never knew about
Now this is just rediculous.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I love the interactive details and dialog secrets and I knew alot of them but so many like the hornet ferry I never knew
Hello again
This b- why do you appear everywhere?
8:19 Fun fact, when a space elevator snaps near its base, the elevator cable actually will rise upwards and fly off into space. What crashes are the support rings and other infrastructure hanging from the cable. You can actually see the cable fly off into space in ODST during Dutch's mission, which is some insane attention to detail by Staten
If whatever station the elevator is connected to is in orbit, it's likely that the station will remain in orbit, with it's breaking pieces scattering below it's orbit (which can be geosynchronous, possibly moving with the earth and in the same direction)
@@travesty-studios Not "which can be geosynchronous", a space elevator's tether station *must* be geostationary.
@@sErgEantaEgis12 it's been a while since I did the research about this, but I'm pretty sure there's multiple theories as to how and where to place the elevator/station.
@@sErgEantaEgis12 looked it up just now, word is that the elevator and station would need to be "well-enough above the level of geostationary orbit to hold up the whole system"
@@travesty-studios That makes zero sense. If it's not at a geostationary orbit its position relative to the "anchor" on the planet would keep shifting and eventually end up on the other side, which would be disastrous and destroy the tether.
After reading about and watching videos about easter eggs and details in Halo games for years I can't believe how much of this I never knew about. I really liked how you put this together. One of my favorite parts was watching the Arbiter vaporize the flood with the skull. Well done EBR.
Its crazy how much extra content they put into the game and alot of people including myself didnt know about it till now 14 years later lol ahhh how I wish I could go back in time to play this as brandnew again.
Dude read off the halo wiki page
You’ve earned 1000% bonus respect for not calling it the 21 gun salute like everyone else and calling it’s actual name.

@@nathangarland9453 Yup, when you enter the first (I think?) room of the Citadel that has a bunch of sleeping Grunts in it. If you hurry to the back of it, there is a Brute Captain by the exit door with an animation that seems to suggest he was taking a piss.
Another uncommon fact: You can one-hit kill Flood with a bladed brute weapon, much like the energy sword
What difficulty?
@@GoHugACactus837 pretty sure its any difficulty but Heroic and up won't gib their corpses, allowing them to still be reanimated
Why can’t certain weapons give bonus malee damage the bladed brute weapons for obvious reason but things like a Spartan lazer or a fully loaded needler would do damage
@@anidiot2284 Actually, Rockets, Fuel Rods, Brute shots, Gravity Hammers, Spartan Lazers and Sentinal Beams all do increased melee damage
@@johnhouston1590 what about the brutes smg? I forgot the name it’s been years
You forgot - Human Flood forms only appear near the Pelican in "Cortana". Since they were overrun. I believe there's about 10 of them, suggesting a full load of marines were infected.
I wonder if the Jason Jones missing since Nov 9th easter egg might be a gag about him leaving Bungie kind of directionless with his absence during Halo 2’s development.
It was meant to represent him missing from halo since halo 2s release.
It’s insane that there’s still so many things about this game I’ve yet to see. It really was a masterpiece
Dude you kind of blew my mind. I've played halo 3 since it was released and I only knew about 20% of the video.
For example I knew about the main family of cavemen but not the others. I never heard the morse code, or realized you could see so much of high charity from halo 2, and seeing the inside of the control room light up with energy was a nice detail!
You should do similar videos for halo 2 and halo CE😎
Cave men in halo 3?????.wheres that at man?????

What if all of music from all the Halo games actually was being broadcasted by the covenant and the spartan helmets were picking it all up to play back to the player. I mean Cortana did say in CE that they broadcast on unencrypted channels. This would mean the chief can actually hear the music we're listening to, and he's vibing along while fighting
XD, that’s probably tru
Or master Chief has a personal playlist on his helmet
Then MC as some good-ass taste
I hope this is a joke
“Yeah it’s a little product placement! I gotta get paid too!” That fuckin killed me lmao

2nd one is a dick joke which is great.
Nobody talk about number 86 ? The ai dropping you on the scarab and picking you up after is so cool. I wanna replay that mission just for that
Yeah, that marine is a total bro.
I remember accidentally stranding the marine on the exploding scarab by accident and I was like oh shoot so I went back to rescue him but I heard it explode.
This guy, as well as the Guass drivers from this game and Halo 2, are way better drivers than Kat.
He’s epic
Considering IT'S NUMBER FUCKING EIGHTY FUCKING SIX, YES, dipshit, they're "talking about it"
I really liked this video. It needed to be at least an hour long. 28 mins went by so fast :(
22:27 dont do it chief 😔
Some of these really blew my mind. The Phantom playing Under Cover of Night is awesome, being able to get the construction workers to get it together and follow you, and especially the Hornet dropping you off and picking you back up while fighting the 2 Scarabs. Halo 3 is such a truly wonderful game.
Nice video, your channel is criminally underrated. I Imagine this video took forever to make.
4:10 I never realized that the brute chieftain was hanging onto the phantom!
Ive known it for years but for some reason I only started to attack him recently to see if I could kill him but I wasn't fast enough. I think I may have tried it as a kid and deemed him unkillable.
Ive played H3 and NEVER knew there were more cavemen than just that family one. Ok wow.
You actually get an achievement by shooting all three of them
In Halo MCC, each one has an Achievement tied it finding them. Actually, there are a lot of Achievements for MCC that are tied to finding hidden Easter Eggs and what not. For Halo 3 alone, I know they have an Achievement tied to each skull, each terminal (including the hidden Cortana one), for triggering the hidden music track in #88, for finding the hidden Grunt that talks smack to you at the end of the Warthog run, one for finding each instance of the cavemen, and I am sure many others.
It’s crazy to think I’ve seen and heard those extra bits of Dialogue as a kid and then for get them as a adult,
but one extra bit of dialogue you missed is if you go to the bridge section of the ark where wrath’s are usual at (when the forward until dawn lands with scorpions) and if you clear it out, Johnson will fly in and lead you to the actual landing point you are supposed to be at.
As a kid video game dialogue was the one thing I’d never listen to like during crows nest I legit thought truth was speaking an alien language.
118: caboose and church from red vs blue can be found as marines, church is trying to evacuate through a door that caboose refuses to open until he gives him the password
And another fun fact is the characters/voice actors change depending on difficulty
@@AustinH7 Different dialogue too.
Yessss so many people still don’t know about that one and it’s amazing
Needs a mention more often
If you play on Easy or Normal, it's Tucker and Doc going back and forth with Tucker trying to get Doc to open the door. If you play on Heroic, it's Griff and Simmons going back and forth with Simmons trying to get Griff to let him in. If you play on Legendary, it's Church and Caboose with Church trying to get Caboose to open the door for him.
I was actually surprised that there were quite a few that I didn’t know about
This is seriously an amazing high-quality video. It's clear that a lot of effort went into this one.
You need a more appealing thumbnail though, it does not do justice
This made me want to play H3 right now

Your comment made me spend a good fookin hour looking up apps and decoders, and I finally got one to work. The Morse code says "Don't make us kick your ass". I translated it twice to be sure and got the same thing both times lol
@@SangheiliSpecOp wow thank you for doing that man I really appreciate it! Seeing as "don't make us kick your ass" is an inside joke at Bungie , I think your translation makes absolute sense.

@@Spike-13 no problem :) I read your comment and was like "challenge accepted". I'm used to dealing with morse code because a lot of games in the Battlefield series have morse code Easter eggs, either visually or via audio. I'll have to check out that pelican as well

I literally just discovered the New Mombasa space elevator reference in Halo 3 today and I made a video on it. I thought I was the only one that had discovered it. I then get a notification about your video, and you knew about it too. I thought I had discovered something that no one else did, however, I'm glad you found it to reach a larger audience :)
I loved when halo three would mix real shit together with Concept art
The infested High Charity details are really cool, and some of just few that I hadn't known. I replayed 3 hundreds of times for almost a year or two.
Okay, when I get my Xbox back from my dad's workplace (to store it there), I'm gonna explore Halo 3 levels all over again.

You can actually see the space battle from the ark. If you look up you’ll see tiny light dots flying over the arks surface. I assume those are ships. I could be wrong
17:00 I like how this confirms how the Elites easily one the 1:3 battle.

I’ve always found so eerie when Spark comments on you finding the terminals. Didn’t know he was talking to 000 TS
16:20 that's the British TV chatshow host Johnathan Ross. He's occasionally a marine voice on the later levels too.
And again at 16:35
The AA Wraith is very OP, it makes sense why you cant drive it under normal gameplay. Love driving them though
Chief you mind telling me what you’re doing on that ship?
Sir listening to some hot jams
I've been playing Halo 3 and other Halo games since 2008 (still playing MCC). I didn't expect to learn anything, but I had no idea about at least 80% of these. Makes me want to explore the game more rather than just playing the same way every time. Fantastic video!!
Here's seven more:
1. At the very beginning of Halo 3, you can see the chunk of Forerunner metal that Chief used as a heat shield when he jumped from the Keyship.
2. On Floodgate, the marines at the beginning that are supposed to die inside the playable area can in fact be saved. It's very hard to get all of them, since some of them will die at the slightest hit, not to mention the infection forms raining down, but if you do keep them alive, they will stay with you until you reach the part where you have to drop down.
3 .On Crow's Nest, there's a locked door where a marine is being asked for the password to enter, a RVB reference.
4. Also on Crows Nest, there's a secret room with an automatic door that actually works.
5. On The Covenant, when High Charity arrives, Shadow of Intent's shields are down when the Flood projectile hits her. The reason is unknown, since she didn't take any significant enemy fire after entering the Ark's atmosphere.
6. Also on the Covenant, when the two Scarabs drop down, their landing spots are already marked on the ground. Also, neither Scarab will move from its spawn location, only turn in place.
7. The Gauss Hog's turret has a functional thermal sight on it.
Comment on number 5 I'm pretty sure for super carriers to use their glassing beam they have to lower there Shields
Im actually surprised people didnt know about the radio signals on the Ark and 117, I thought those were the easiest to get to. And I always remember using the warthog gun next to the pelican on the Ark, so its cool that it was mentioned. I never knew about the hidden dialogue on the highway mission. super cool too :)
What does the Morse code played by the phantom say?
6:06 HOW DID I NOT KNOW THIS
9:38 what does the Morse code say?
9:48 this implies that the halo soundtrack is just a covenant band jamming it out during the human-covenant war
Do this with CE and 2
If anyone gets this reference you deserve a veterans discount 7:51
yo that was a fire episode to😭

It’s insane how I’ve played this game 100+ times and am shocked to find even more details that I’ve never noticed
EBR is easily one of the best Halo RUclipsrs, who else puts this much effort and quality into their videos?
Love the videos man, keep em coming 🤞
47 I wonder if that’s actually the shadow of intent. As we see the flood cruiser exit slipspace in the cutscene, but we never see the elite fleet arrive
Oh, you're right. 'Cause the Flood ship actually enters from Slipspace, doesn't it?
11:48 the file id # is 1-17343 (117 343)
Halo 3 is something else. There's a reason this is my favorite game of all time. The game always felt mythical to me idk why but halo 3 or the original halo trilogy for that matter had a special feeling that I can't find in any other franchise.
It’s like the the brightest star in the sky compared to other Xbox Shooters yeah sure it’s not the best. Actually I take that back it’s probably the best game series on Xbox before 4-Infinite other than Halo wars 2 that game was legendary to me.
You can easily turn down the music with the slider like any other audio or is it not functional for you
oh man, I wonder if the creator of Arby n the Chief actually knew about that Easter egg? Lol. That's amazing I never knew a lot of this stuff

Halo 3 is such a masterpiece. So much polish and detail.
Yea I miss those days now developers just dont give a shit and only care about money and pump out souless half assed unfinished games and then make you pay $30 for DLC that should have been in the base game from the start.
@@pinstripecool34 I couldn’t agree more. I was watching a documentary on here the other day about the development of Halo 3 and it was so clear to me how much heart and soul went into the creation of this game. It really seems like it’s all about chasing the trend these days rather than making a great game for the fans to enjoy.
There's actually more than 117 details.
-You missed the soldier in Crows Nest who knocks on one of the metal hangar doors and the soldier on the other side of the door hassles him and asks for a password.
-The Brute taking a piss
-In the mission where have to find the crashed Flood ship, if you're quick enough you can shoot the Flood Spawn preventing the marine from getting infected by them.

What?
Not the same island per se, it's just the layout is the same as going around the silent cartographer map in CE, so you're right.
