I don't have a Joy, but all the tips and tricks come in handy. SO nice to see a pro have a boo-boo and actually show it, without editing it out. I find it interesting that the vinyl doesn't shift around while cutting, without a sticky mat. You ROCK Michael. Love the tray, but love it even more with the wording.
I've had my Joy Bundle for about a year and haven't used it I always use my Maker. We're going to the beach for a week and I made my husband pack it in the car to take so I can practice with it. Thank you for giving me motivation to learn to use it also.

It turned out great! I'm glad you left the mistake in. We all make them, and it was helpful to see how you trouble-shoot when things go wrong. Maybe if you slid the parchment paper out a little at a time while burnishing , it would prevent that type of mishap. Thanks so much for the tutorial!

I ordered a white garden flag which Is polyester to sublimate on as my youngest granddaughter is graduating this year and wanted to make either something for graduation or the college she will be attending. What I got instead was an Easter garden flag with a white bunny silhouette on it. They told me to keep it and they would send another to replace it. I mentioned you to the person I spoke to (she knew who you were.) informing her that you highly recommended the Starcraft and because of you I am now a customer and buying the Starcraft vinyl, HTV softfex , and the transfer vinyl among other things. I made a couple of orders and make sure I spend over 50.00 to get the free shipping. I also use you link . Thank you for all you do ❤️

I find a heat gun super helpful to get rid of air bubbles too. I’ve heard it helps the adhesive stick better as well, kind of setting it. Not sure how true that is, but the vinyl definitely looks like it settles into the shape of what it’s been transferred into when I hit it quickly with the hot air (especially on something that is very faintly textured etc)
Thank you for this tutorial Crafty Pants. I love my Cricut Joy and wanted to use smart vinyl but the price kept me from it. Please do more videos for the Joy with this product that you use. I’m on my way to the shop for some retail crafty therapy.

I'm new to Cricut Joy and to Design Space. This helped me ALOT. I was wanting to know the difference between the Joy Smart Vinyl and regular vinyl. Is the only difference that the Smart Vinyl has a mat? Otherwise, is it the same vinyl? Also.. what if you want to apply your vinyl to something else, like canvas or wood.
