😊 Hey guys! We created the Chase Car channel to give viewers a broad overview of the upcoming new cars from the top car manufacturers. We are huge fans of pickup trucks of all sizes: compact, mid-size and full-size trucks. So mostly, we will cover new upcoming trucks, but besides that, here you can find a lot of content about new sedans and SUVs too.
The Electric Vehicle wave sooner or later will become huge, so this type of content might appear on this channel from time to time. But as we are still on the way to becoming fully electrical, we mostly cover fossil cars from many amazing brands.

That would be communism. EV is great! As long as you have low expectations
Could one go to a dealer and make a low ball offer ?? Would they take the bate ??
We need MORE CO2, not less, to increase food production. The elite don't want this, as a food shortage would be good for control purposes. That's why we're seeing these farmers protests.
Not at all! I hate the fact the the government forces sales of ev's.
Why not they interfere in everything else, especially when they haven’t clue what they’re doing.
This is what happens when ESG money trumps sane business choices.
Fire the CEOs responsible.
If the EV was a viable solution. The government wouldn't need mandates and legislation to force the people to buy them.
we're done with this crap
For a moment there I thought you were talking about qvaccines..
Before EVs, what made the difference was the engine of a particular maker, now of course is about batteries performance, and they are all the same, about 5kg to produce 1kw power, and any makers that wants a longer range all it has to do is to increase the size of the battery, no extra technology needed, everything else is just gimmicks.
@@bitsnz1837those too
If gas cars were the solution, nobody would be feeling the effects of climate change and speaking about greenhouse gases.
Risk of EV fire, long charge time, expensive insurance, & crazy low resale value would stop most people from buying one... not to mention they are anything but reliable.
Out of date. No more Fires (in fact, even pro rata, ICE cars are more flammable). Charge times 20-80% down to 20 min - coffee and croissant. Battery history now shows only 5-10% degradation per 100,000 miles, so used EVs will increase in price. Most (Tesla) EVs are extremely reliable, better than ICE. Now you're up to date.
@@jgarbo3541 Yea no.
The ICE cars that catch fire tend to be cars that are over 10 years old. EVs that catch fire tend to only be a few years old. On top of this, ICE cars are relatively easy to extinguish. EV fires are much more difficult.
Most public chargers don't have the grid connection to charge that fast. If they do, you're going to be paying more than gasoline to put that sort of load on the grid.
My one car has 330,000 miles on it and the range is basically identical to when it was new. EV range even when brand new remains a significant problem. An EV with only 80% of the range as new is going to be unsellable, especially given the high insurance costs.
@@jgarbo3541 ~ ICE vehicles don't spontaneously combust, and sink ocean going car transport ships, and they don't burn to the ground airport carpark buildings that are made of concrete and steel.
20 minutes to recharge vs 5 minutes for ICE vehicles.
I have 3 cars.
An EV and 2 ICEVs.
The batteries are flat on the ICEvs because they are pretty shitty to drive compared to my EV.
Proceeding at a normal pace little by little would have been the way to go . These are expensive experimental vehicles. Now expensive junk .
I think the market has saturated by accounting all those people whom wanted an EV have bought them. the remaining 95% of the population are still not convinced and expensive at the current point.
I want an EV. (You are wrong.) In 2028 there will be more EVs than ICE sold. (Wrong again.)😊
@@Longtack55 I find that hard to believe!
@Longtack55 what ev are you going to get?
@@nate_2092 S model
I agree, I think for the most part people who wanted an EV, because an EV made sense for them, bought one. Certainly there are people who want an EV but simply can’t afford them or an EV isn t conducive to their lifestyle. I highly doubt EVs sales will pass ICE by 2028. For one we don’t even have the infrastructure to support that many EVs. Secondly, the world’s largest automaker (Toyota) doesn’t even want to sell EVs. Insurance rates are already really high for EVs…the fewer ICE cars to offset EVs means car insurance rates on EVs will likely climb higher and higher. Probably the same will be true for homeowners insurance. Then there is the question of EV resale value. Batteries should last a long time but it comes down to buyer perception. If people think they will need to replace a 15k battery, they will calculate that into how much they are willing to spend on a used EV. Huge factor is the price of gas. If it gets really high this will no doubt help EV sales. If it goes down well it will kill EV sales.
Around here.
Used dealers will not touch EVs
They cannot risk buying one with a battery issue.
Even the main dealers that sell them new, will not take them as a trade in.
What about gas motor issues. That easier to hide than a battery.
@@randybryant4216 not really.
You have to be a complete numpty to get stung with a bad ice motor.
Dealers hate EVs. Nothing to service.
@@randybryant4216 LOL. That is utter nonsense.
apart from the fact that most of us don't want EV's. i think messing around with a touch screen whilst driving is as Warren Zevon once said in a song "Trouble Waiting to Happen"
I only buy used vehicles and I DIY repairs. When batteries are field repairable, maybe? But I'm getting old and doubt it will happen in my lifetime. My simple, inexpensive gasoline cars are doing okay for me.
95% of all ev's sold are still on the road the other 5% made it home.
Good one.
I thought that was a badge owned by Landrover.
That’s a Harley Davidson joke. I heard that 20 years ago.
EVs are for people/families with two cars, and/or are well off. And unless you have a charging station at home, they're a pain to deal with.
#1 reason: People hate EVs. Period.
Some people love them.
I know most love diesel, petrol, or a hybrid version of either a lot more than battery EV's.
#1 reason I would say is they are just worse cars than modern alternatives. If hydrogen or synthetic fuel gets to market at a competitive price and performance it'll hammer battery EVs, Tesla might go bust in a day!
A dope comment.
Overpriced and under performing. Not a good combination.
Perhaps you do. But people in generell doesn’t.
People who can think, understand that it is the way we have to go.

my coworkers drove their Teslas from east coast to west coast.
Batteries are only good for car starting, small electrical supplies and power tools.
very nice 👍. main problem is unsafe and unreliable! and cost very much
So I need a car that can go 450 km rain, snow, cold and hot. I have seen even EV fan boys calling out these companies who sell these cars for the battery deteriorating in all of these conditions and after two years your 450 km range is down to less than 80% available. Turn on your heater or your air conditioner then your range disappears like scalded cat. Then in the case of the Nissan Leaf if you own one from before 2017 Nissan does not support a replacement battery or a rebuilt battery. If your battery goes out you now own a brick in your driveway that has no real resale value. Great concept for the motoring public disposable expensive cars that you can not sell. No thanks.
Ya it's just was pushed by Biden. Manufacturers all worried about Tesla making all that money and the greed got the best of them . And they are a total flop. On a scale of 1 to 10 they get a 2 . And I'm being very generous.
You can get a BYD blade battery Retro fitted in New Zealand. With all the new tech that comes with the battery.
That wonderful for New Zealand here in. Canada and US you get nothing from Nissan and nobody is strapping up to make or repair the Leaf batteries.
@@brianpilley3801running a heater in very cold temperatures is like running toaster , resistive element draws a lot of current. ICE motors produce excess heat. In a Canadian winter most people would like heat.
Are the scrap yards going to charge you for recycling or disposal of the batteries in these cars at end of life? I see that coming next as a reason to worry about purchase of a battery powered cart. To me the EV is a misnomer since the car is not directly driven from an electric source such as a trolly overhead wire or rail supply these are just glorified toys battery driven like my kids ride in toy car.
They work for some people for some applications, like a gulf cart , for example.
EVs are control measure and not the environmental saviour they are made out be. Not forgetting EVs are also geocached, which means someone else has control of your car.
Nobody wants one not safe range crap
The EQE looks like a generic Chinese EV. It lacks the MB design language almost entirely. They clearly phoned it in.
It really is. Its just incredible that they thought it was attractive.
EVs should have been sold as an alternative to a select few who have plenty of time, money and only do a few local trips. They should have never been pushed out to everyone as a replacement to ICE as the technology and whole concept is flawed. The mugs that bought will regret their choice but will never admit their mistake. Stick to ICE as for now it's the only one that performs and if have to switch then maybe maybe hybrid..
With abundant fossil fuel resources available, an electrical grid that's incapable of sustaining a massive influx of EV's, along with high prices, limited range, and questionable reliability (especially in colder climes) IMHO, manufactures going all-in on this trend are making a huge mistake.
What we're also beginning to see is that rather than purchasing another EV, a significant portion of early adopters are now trading them in for ICE vehicles.
Toyota has taken a well reasoned approach to this issue, and has wisely decided that the Hybrid middle ground is the place to be.
somebody commented that the market is saturated as far as EVs go, and I agree. I think there is actually a small number of people who actually want and can afford an EV. There are plenty of reasons why people don't want one, and only a couple why you would. The battery is expensive and charging it is as well. Only Tesla is building out the infrastructure needed to support the Tesla, so that is the only one I would consider.
My reasons for NEVER owning one of these rich boy toys:
High cost, short driving range, lousy charging infrastructure, weight shreds tires, most mechanics know nothing about their repair, higher insurance rates, fender bender accident that involves even a small part of the battery, the insurance company will total your car, a thousand degree thermal runaway possibly in your garage while charging. Takes thousands of gallons of water to extinguish the fire and even then, they can reignite. NO THANKS JOE!
🤣 man your facts only applies to all EVs but Tesla
Anyway if you don't want to learn the facts and just wanna keep on being in denial just say so

Yes, and they're Democrats 👨🏻👍🏻🏎🏎🏁🏁🚩🚩 In California the Legislature is voting April 10, 2024 to impose for 2027 the 10 mile per hour over Posted Speed Limit. If Vehicles have GPS or Online Service, or unsubscribed Service. The Vehicles sold then and those from the past will get an Over the Air Update, up loaded... You won't want to pay for that. WAY higher than EV.
Hydrogen isn't cheap.
@@dougschmidt368 And combustion engines are way more inefficient than battery electric.
BTW if you want a hydrogen vehicle on the cheap, there are used ones at HUGE discounts. Because they are completely impractical. ICE hydrogen is even worse.

I am not remotely interested until I can get a minimum of 500 winter mileage on one charge and no more than 10 minutes of recharge time.

Yeah... I don't want to risk my home and life. And around here you WANT to park in the garage during the winter!
It the Cadillac Lyrc was a non electric car with same styling and price point it would have been a huge success and they would be everywhere.
The EV party is over, turn out the lights or you will drain the battery!
Sales keep increasing. Once mainstream adoption starts, we will see it increase dramatically.
This very much an American perspective, be interesting for the same analysis for Europe
Same in Germany . Used ev find no buyer
We love our Leaf, paid completely it's cost on fuel savings alone, expecting to keep it another 10 years 🙂
I'm sure glad we have a lot of rich idiots that buy EV's and help advance the platform. so in 10 years I'll see how they are, but now I wouldn't touch one with a 10' pole.
EVs have been around for over 100 years and have not significantly improved relative to gas vehicles. Nothing significant is going to happen over the next ten years.
By not buying an EV vehicle you may just have saved your LIFE, saved your home, and the lives of the next 4 homes in every direction of your property
ICE vehicles have SIXTY times the frequency of fires as do EVs. Stop lying.
@@Longtack55 Except ICE are easy to extinguish and EV are virtually impossible to extinguish. Not mentioning fire temperature explosive and poisonous gases and other "unimportant" factors like that EV will ignite regardless if it is switched ON or OFF due to the battery degradation, while when ICE is cold nothing can happen.
@@Longtack55 try finding a CLASS D fire extinguisher for COMBUSTIBLE METALS!

Conversely, the common CVlass ABC fire extinguishers are available anywhere at about $50
Lithium fires are very hot at about 4000 degrees, several times hotter than regular gas fires.
This is why I call these EV vehicles as personal crematoriums
@@wojciechjanecki9221 You shall drive China BEV.
Gasoline will catch fire a lot quicker. Stop with the BS.
Nhtsa data shows there are 11 ice vehicle fires for every ev fire.
Per Kelly Blue book 2024 Q1 BEV sales increased 11% from Q1 2023. Sales of BEV in the US are much lower than the rest of the world, but sales are still growing.
In the US Tesla had a major problem with the ramp up in the new refreshed Model 3 in their Fremont factory. Demand was there for the refreshed model but Tesla could not make them quickly enough. This slow ramp is running into Q2 as well. Without this issue overall BEV sales would have increased by 20% or more.
The issue in the US is that Tesla are still doing very well as are Hyundai/Kia. Everyone else is struggling. Only 1 or 2 companies sell their BEV at a profit. You need scale to make a profit. Ford lost billions last year, only delivered 73,000 cars to dealerships and dealers can´t sell them on. GM has now stopped the Bolt production. Sell a hanfful of Hummers and their Blazer release was a disaster. Silverado delayed. Hyundai/ Kia will outsell Ford, GM and Stellantis BEV combined in 2024. Most OEMs are slowing down their BEV investments and switching to Hybrids.
There are I think 12 states that have Zero Emission targets, mainly following California regulations which stop the sale of any ICE cars by 2035. The UK has similar laws and started this year with 22% of all new cars must be Zero emission and fines of $19k per car under the target. In the UK Zero emission means no hybrids.

the problem will be when trying to resale the ev, nobody will mess will electric cars yet myself i won't buy any other than knew cars if.
They should have named the Mustang mach E the model E instead. A Mustang isn"t an SUV.

@@TheTruth-dy8ze Exactly!
Sorry to learn that most of the video‘s statements are deliberately misinterpreted by a couple of people who apparently have no idea about BVs. It is about the cars described, not about the power concept. Besides this, the descriptions of the EQE and EQS are funny to hear as it seems that they come from people who never saw or drove them. These are fantastic ars, but unfortunately also quite expensive ones. Also, the Mach e is a great car. Anyhow, BVs are the future,
i would never buy one there Garbage. what are Dealers waiting for recycle them
Fools and their money are soon parted!
Can't imagine there is much of a resale market for them. Who wants to buy used batteries?
They shouldn't mass produce them. It should be built to order.
The only people who are winning in all this is the insurance companies cashing in on up pricing
If GM and CEO Mary Barra were smart they'd put a gas engine in the Lyric. Sounds like it has all the other features a luxury customer would want.
Don't want to buy an EV ? Well you will soon enough when these auto makers declare bankruptcy, and governments will once again bail them out with your tax dollars. Then they slash the price of these vehicles and pocket all the money.
If car companies are struggling and nearing bankruptcy it’s because no one wants to buy the electric cars that the government is forcing them to sell. Even if the government bails the companies out, they can’t force people to buy EV’s if the people don’t want them.
Slashing prices won’t really affect purchasing rates either, because it’s not helping even now that prices have been crashing (compared to where they used to be). EV’s are fundamentally flawed, because they are dependent on a power grid that is already at its limit, and rational people understand that. These cars are impractical for most people, and no amount of government pressure can make people buy them.
60 grand for a car that is only any good for taking the dog to the vet and picking up the kids from school, if you want anything other than that forget it. I know I made the mistake of buying one of these electric nightmares.

Merc in Britain can’t give EV’s away they are offering huge discount and 0% finance and still not moving them.
I don’t get it or our situation is unique. Lease a BMW i3 in 2021 and the thing has been flawless for the ~25K I’ve driven it. Pull in the garage and charge as needed. Live less than 10 miles from 3 beautiful small towns in south Jersey and 29 miles to the Philly sport stadiums. The car has been produced for 10+ years with little changes so whatever bugs are long gone. Lease an i4 or model Y Tesla??? The Tesla is the better deal by a mile. All the i4’s on the lots are the 65K models, unless you order one. The Y with the 7,500 + 4K from Jersey AND no sales tax is half that.
Imagine the energy and money we could have saved if EVs had never been a big thing and we had used all effort on biofuels. Then we could continue using the existing ICE cars
If the EV car manufacturers were smart they would convert their stylish designs into practical gas powered and hybrid models and offer them at reasonable prices.
This it the third video in as many days that I've come across that had gone down this very same list, using the same talking points for every one.
Not saying you don't have a point, but it looks like someone's shopping the same script around.
One reason that stands out among all the other reasons as to why I will never buy an electric car, is what happens when your house gets struck by lightning while you’re charging your car?
A lot of EVs got sold for the tax credits.

it isn't that dealers Can't sell Ev's, it is that they do not to and start a profit losing trend by selling a low maintenance vehicle, that typically does not need a car dealer to coddle it with expensive repairs. there is Nothing a gas car can do that an electric propelled car cannot do better in the near future, and in time, gas will be obsolete. think about how much $$ you spend on emission controls alone for the gas engine.

2 reasons why I think this is happening.
1: early adopters are gone
2: price, $50k to %100k is expensive, you have cheaper cars entering the market now
end result: adapt or die, and I think the large manufactures are going to die, just like they did before 2020 and declare bankruptcies.

40+ years in the auto repair business at the dealership level. We recently sold our Ford Flex (great car) and purchased a Chevy Bolt EUV. Best move we ever made when it comes to transportation. Our normal driving resulted in about $200/month being spent on gasoline plus all the other maintenance costs. Our Bolt is costing us about $50/month using a higher than actual $0.22/kWH rate with a light reduction in driving. Out first scheduled maintenance, paid for by GM, is at 7500 miles and consists of a tire rotation. Drives great, is extremely quiet, cheap to operate and I currently charge it using a Stage 1. If I need a faster charge rate I will do it at our local library on the Stage 2 charger in the parking lot. My experience makes all of your arguments moot. As for the environmental impact, it is not the perfect answer but it is much superior to the ICE powered vehicle.
Have you factored in the battery replacement/degradation expense of $0.20/mile? Because at 100K miles, you're looking down the barrel of a $20K battery replacement that's not under warranty. And get this, the replacement battery only comes with a one year warranty, not six or eight years like the original one.
