Now THIS is a WW action scene, not just lasso swinging
Just this scene alone alone better than what we just got
Except for that sword and shield. Classic WW never needed those and she was still badass in combat.
What is the sword for if she doesn’t use it to hack people in half, might as well be holding a giant dildo, plus it would be more scary.

Steve is a really intelligence and high tactical soldier. He learns how to use the shield-pushing jump after just once time witness Antiope did it at the beach

Zack Snyder’s writing and the use of his stunt teams is what makes this action so much better. WW1984 had none of this.
1984 was such a let-down after this movie - granted, this is a super hero movie, so realism is relative, but 1984 just seemed so stupid, not to mention dull.

She deliberately wanted to make a female version of the original Superman film hence the optimism and the alleyway scene. Zack didn't write the movie all he has is story credit. Allan Heinberg wrote the script Zack just pitched a story.

WW84 lacked this type of action. I mean look at this and the desert sequence in WW84.
Yeah they really dropped the ball on the action scenes. The mall heist, catching a bullet with her lasso, shooting a bullet with her hand etc.

Compare this awesomeness to the action in WW84. They went too overboard to the point, some of the choreography was unbelievable even by superhero movie standards.

I always love to watch any movie when Gal is inn it. For me she's the best actress in the world. Her acting is on another level. She's always doing her best for her character in any movie story, doesn't matter main character or 2nd or any she can makes it real. Gal has a lovely charm beautiful smile too 😊❤👸👌

Yes but I think something that made the ending of this WW so endearing was the realisation that men's darkness is a real thing not caused by some outside force. And yet WW still chose to love them anyway despite the initial crsck she had on her faith.
Ww1984 follows that trend, sort of, but takes away that initial darkness when they made the antagonist do all the evil. All those people making wishes didn't do it knowingly, the bad guy tricked them into it, and gave them horrible consequences in return, making it easy for them to rescind their wish. Humanity didn't do evil consciously like they did in the original WW so it takes away some of that darkness.
1917 has it. I loved how Schofield loses it at the Germans every time
People usually complain that DC movies are too dark. Now the problem is that the movie has no darkness.

Why most of the people always compare WW84 with WW 1? Its obvious that WW1 sets on World War 1, so it has a battle & fight scene. WW84 was using 80s background & everybody knows that on that years is on cold war tense between US & Russia.
Anyway.....for me WW84 is good movie, its more humanis & its shows good side of superhero scene. Well....superhero movie its not just only sets on fight scene. Another side of the superhero also good to shows. 🙏🏻

Epic superhero fight scene. Hopefully in WW3 we'll see more of this type of action. WW1984 didn't have this.
When she jumps through the window / wall and does her little super hero landing, you can actually see one of the stunt strings attacked to her back... the forgot to edit it out and thought we wouldn’t notice
WW84 actors did a great job...the plot was the real problem...we could just wish that it never happened 😂 I mean WW84...our expectations were high bcoz of the 1st movie

All this action was missing in WW84
While the fighting is cool, I don't like how this movie portrayed the war in such a "Good vs. Evil" light, like WWII. WWI was horrendous, but it was not because of any side in particular. I feel like this movie would have done well to show humanity amongst the Germans, showing them as people with lives, general villains.
True. Although it recovers a bit in the finale, when the German soldiers remove their masks after Ares dies.
You need to read a bit more history.

Damn it. Just realised that she's holding the sword in reverse. Like what's the point? Just kill the soldiers already. LoL. She's a warrior and she kills when she has to.
It looked great, but the way she took out that sniper was really dumb. She’s just standing there while the sniper is shooting at people. It’s obvious the scene was written this way so she could have that jumping finale, but it also makes her look a little dumb. She has super strength, and the door to the tower is literally right there. It’s in every shot of the building. It made no sense to have her just stand there so we can then have Steve devise the makeshift jumping platform, when she could have easily torn that door down, reached the bell tower, and disarmed the sniper in seconds.
What the hell happened in WW 1984 😐😐

Why can't people just enjoy the quality of THIS excellent film without slamming 1984? This was a great movie by any standard. The direction was excellent. Gal was fantastic and with excellent performances and chemistry with Pine. 1984 was barely mediocre by comparison. We were all disappointed. Yes, that's a shame. We all hoped for better. Get over it! But I still go back and watch clips of the original WW and it still evokes positive emotions and memories. 1884 had good intentions but missed the mark. Why not comment on this clip instead of bashing a different movie that came out years later with different writers, different theme and plot? And criticizing the scene because the physics wasn't realistic!!?? It's a Super Hero Movie!! If you can't suspend reality for 2 hours then watch something else!!!
