    What’s the movie about?
Lucy (Scarlett Johansson from Avengers and Lost in Translation) is studying in Taiwan and is dating Richard (Pilou Asbæk from Game of Thrones) that she met at a nightclub. When Richard has a briefcase to deliver to the mysterious Korean Mr. Jang (Choi Min-sik from Oldboy), he tricks Lucy and cuffs her to the briefcase. Lucy has no other option but to meet Mr. Jang, who is a dangerous drug lord that kills Richard. Lucy discovers that the briefcase contains the synthetic drug CPH4 and she is forced to work with Mr. Jang as a drug mule with three other men and transport the drug to Europe hidden in their abdomens. However one of her captors kicks her in the abdomen and releases the CPH4 in her body. Soon Lucy enhances her brain capacity and develops her physical and mental capabilities. She uses her abilities to kill the criminals and flees. However her power does not stop increasing and is destroying Lucy who needs to use more CPH4 to stabilize her body. She contacts Professor Norman (Morgan Freeman from Street Smart and Glory), who is an authority in brain capacity, and the scientist becomes her hope to save her. But Mr. Jang wants to retrieve his drug and is hunting Lucy down.

In the very end she communicated with her partner using his cellphone and she said "I am everywhere" which means she became omnipresent basically becoming a god and also she never said that shes gonna become a flash drive. She only said that shes gonna transfer all of her knowledge into a flash drive. So next time before you think about writing this stupid nonsense, do your research first

Just my theory! Could this be a different explanation that even the creators couldn't think of? Using her brain at 100% capacity maybe Lucy unlocked the genealogical memory. So she] isn't traveling back in time but is just experiencing the memory of her ancestors coded in her gene and now accessible through her newfound capability of synthesizing that data.

Yes. That is what they wanted to show. But as a movie industry with vast variety of followers in different belief system they made a visual simualtion that everyone can relate themselves into.
Everything is memory aka information. Each thing we do or think about (habits, foods, knowledge, muscle memory, routines, lifestyle, etc) get depicted in our dna. And that vast collection of information is what we use to create an offspring.
The more pure your dna, the more clear you see.

People flood movies, tv, and everything else with the false claim of common descent from a first life form evolution. But common descent from a first cell evolutionists claim that some populations of living things that never had brains 'evolved' brains over generations. Same for eyes, or ears, or heart, or lungs, or digestive systems, or reproductive systems and so much more. This is contrary to ALL of science, ALL of biology and ALL of reality. No evolutionist in the world can address this fact. Be not deceived, people - we will face God, and saying "I was told humans, apes, rats and banana plants were all related" will not save us.

      @kextrz 10 месяцев назад +1

@@jalin8039 I agree a hundred percent. The best special effects are those nobody notices. This is the case so more often than moviegoers think.
Cinema is in and of itself an illusion, special fx or not. It always were. You could say the same thing about any art form.
It's not reality. It's an interpretation of it most of the time.
In this case, it's more like an imagined "...what if..." thing.
Which brings me back to my previous comment.
Of course those are special effects.
Everybody is well aware while watching.
The great thing here is that being aware is not an obstacle to get something more out of it.

Throughout the film it feels like Lucy wants to cry but after a certain point, she can't afford the tears. She needs all the matter and energy she can muster. The tears stay inside her eyes, but if you look hard enough, you can see them. That's an incredible performance. Less is more. Any other actress in this part would have wanted to do more and that would ruin the effect. Scarlett Johansson is a smoldering fire in this role.

The common misconception is a misconception in itself. We don’t use 100% of brain’s capacity all once. We use about 10% at a time. Lucy’s premise was to show what happens when a human could possibly use 100% of it at one time. We basically become time controllers. We can control time and technology. We become a new type of super computer. It’s a cool concept and there’s a lot of scientific fact in the movie.

Yup. I remember watching a vid showing someone's brain activity during a seizure and it was lit up like a damn Christmas tree. A seizure is when your brain is firing off way too many signals and this causes your body to spaz out. I imagine that 100% of your brain suddenly "activating to max capacity" would probably confuse your body to the point of just locking up and making you suffocate to death. 🤣
You'd have to think that if there were a benefit to having that mythical 100% humanity and other species would have already expressed it as a dominant trait... My theory? Every individual who could do this had a seizure shortly after birth and died.

No one talked about the soundtrack, because honestly speaking not many are like us who delve into movies with an intent to understand its concept, background work, storyline, efforts put in by the writer, director, music production, kind of music used in the scenes that makes them so lively, etc. Most people just watch movies for fun and entertainment.
