Jennifer, I know I'm late to the party, but I just got a maker 3 & need to know if I should wash the new blank tea towels or not before applying vinyl. Thanks! I had a ton of people recommend your channel!
It's a pleasure watching your tutorial.Thought I was lost not knowing how to use my cricut maker. Thanks Jennifer to the rescue ! You are the best teacher so far.
I found flour sack towels at Walmart in the craft section. They were huge, so I cut them down and made two towels. The large one reminded me of my grandmother, she had large dish towels with cross stitch designs on them. I hope to get the HTV on tomorrow.
it's absolutely a great idea. I am in love with all the Christmas crafts. This reminds me of when I was young making cross stitch towels and potholders for my mom.
Jennifer, thank you so much for listing the font names. It’s always so hard trying to match a font or find what the font actually is. This will really be helpful...thank you again
All so very cute. Love the Dishes one. Great for my daughter. I can not wait until I can make these and the other ones from all the other days. I hurt my right arm and yes I am right handed. All is good though could be a lot worst. MRI Monday Doctor Friday. Thank you Jennifer and Greg and Team for all your FUN HARD WORK.
curious about how to display these towels when done. if you hang them on oven door or refrigerator door, do they hang right? i.e. do you have to unfold the whole towel ?
So cute! Definitely on my list. I want to try doing iron on handprints of my kids. How do we do this with a drawing (like a handprint tracing)? Also, is there a way to do this without wasting so much vinyl? The red uses so much for so little!
I just want to give you a shout out for telling us the font name used in these so we can personalize it with the same font. You are the best! Thanks so much. :)
Love the idea. Will do as soon as I get me some towels. But for now. I love the dish saying. I have a new apron love to put that one on it could not find the right saying put on it until now thanks so much and love seeing what you have next.
Excellent video! Where can I find more info on layering 2 or more colors when doing iron ons? We are making Christmas shirts next week. Thanks Jennifer!
Thanks Jennifer! Do you wash the towels before ironing on the design? What’s the best way to wash these after you iron on the vinyl when they are dirty?
I did not wash them beforehand, Ashley, but you could if you wanted to! Either before or after, I recommend gentle cycle, cold water. And don't use fabric softener - it can affect the ability of the vinyl to bind to the fabric! 🥰
I did not, Jennifer! I don't like to pre-wash my towels, but you totally can if you want to! If you do, please don't use fabric softener, as it affects the ability of the HTV to adhere, though! But that's a totally optional step!
I havent used the iron on vinyl yet. I love the idea of these for gifts tho so I think I will have to try it! Love all you videos! So happy I found you!! ❤
Hi Jennifer - Great video, instruction and projects. I think I might have to get an "easy press." I have a new iron, but I can see everyone uses the press or a pressing machine. Thanks for sharing and continued success. Love PegEgg
Hi Jennifer-thank you so much for all the info you provide on your videos-so helpful! Question specifically re the tea towel designs-are they automatically the size they need to be for the flour sack tea towels? Thank you again. Vickie
You can make these with infusible ink on a high polyester count. This will last long if they are washed. Wait 24 hours after iron-on application before washing. Wash and tumble dry on low or medium heat. Do not bleach or dry clean. If you need to iron, turn and iron the back side.
Finally, a video that shows how to position the design. Thanks so much!
Glad it was helpful!

Hi Jennifer - Great video, instruction and projects. I think I might have to get an "easy press." I have a new iron, but I can see everyone uses the press or a pressing machine. Thanks for sharing and continued success. Love PegEgg
You can do it!
Hi Jennifer-thank you so much for all the info you provide on your videos-so helpful! Question specifically re the tea towel designs-are they automatically the size they need to be for the flour sack tea towels? Thank you again. Vickie
You might need to resize based on the size of your towel🥰
Thank you again!
oh my, a shopping I will go! Thank You!
Please do, Sonia! 😂
This is a great gift idea!
Isn't it, though, Heidi?
Thank you Jennifer. What size press were you using? I’m buying one and not sure which size is best.
I would go for the 12"x10" that I used or at least the 9"x9"
@@JenniferMaker thank you.
This is so cute!
I think so, too, Holly!
SO FUN!!
Yay! 😃
Do you wash these towels in a mesh bag since you can't turn them inside out? And what about drying?
Wash in cold water and dry on low.
I love the dish design, that's clever :)
Glad you like it!
So cute!
Thanks! 😃
What’s the best way to care for them so the vinyl last the longest?
You can make these with infusible ink on a high polyester count. This will last long if they are washed. Wait 24 hours after iron-on application before washing.
Wash and tumble dry on low or medium heat.
Do not bleach or dry clean.
If you need to iron, turn and iron the back side.
