Shirlee Alicia thanks for this video! I just ordered some. 😀 you shared some great tips. I totally love the stamp one! How fun!! Have a great weekend ❤️✨
My grandma gave me this tip today. Wet the flour sack towel and wring out as mich water as possible, lay over any item you need to iron. Iron over the fabric and move along where you need to iron, this gives a steaming effect, crisp iron lines, and protect clothing from discoloration from the heat.
I actually used flour sack towels when I was cloth diapering my oldest. 😊 there are several ways to fold them and then cover with a waterproof diaper cover. These were great ideas!
I haven't ever paid attention to flour sack towels before but all of these uses sound fabulous!!! Love the idea of replacing gift wrap - how wonderful!
I grew up on a farm. My mother bought flour in 50 # bags (1960's). When they were empty she would split them in half for towels. I learned to sew on the machine by hemming those towels... dozens of them! She would use them to strain juice for jelly, strain milk from the cows, clean, bandages everything.
Hi Shirlee. I love flour sack towels. The ones at Walmart in the kitchen towel section are awful (scratchy and nonabsorbent) but the ones in the sewing section are the real deal. They're truly 100% cotton that softens with age. They come in two different sizes, two to a package.
I have them and I love them! It would be a great idea if you had a printable for the 20 uses, then it could be given with the towels when given as a gift😉
Shirlee, we use these towels all of the time. The best thing we use is to put it on cutting boards and to strain veggies when the are soaked with water after cooking them. Great tips
I found them at SamsClub by accident! I have been using tea towels (lint free too) for covering my rising bread dough but these are bigger and quite nice! I love your idea of stenciling them! Thank you Shirlee Alicia!
NEVER have I heard of a "flour sack towel." I love how you used them and LOVE your place setting. SO pretty! I'm impressed with the many ways these can be used. #15 Lint Free Window Cleaning may just be my fav. I hate lint on windows and mirrors. Though #18 As a Gift wrap is really, really cool. OMG, thanks for sharing this!
Hi Shirlee, I didn’t know there were so many uses for these towels. I basically used these to dry dishes or cover a basket and that’s it. I’ve only got a couple and try to keep them nice. I have lots of other dish towels that I use as well. Oh, I see. Your flower sack towels are plain white. Mine are decorative. Very interesting. Thanks for sharing.
Ooo, great tips! I'm actually moving soon and I'll have to do a little shopping (there's no way I'm moving the little things 12 hours away) once II get there, so this was super timely!! Thanks!
Bummer they stopped selling them at Target! I had no idea they have so many uses! We like to have the kids decorate them and give them to grandparents :-)
I love the color in your video haha. WOW I never heard of this four sack towels before. Something I should try at home. Thank for sharing this amazing tips Shirlee
Yeah I know theirs are pricey and not as thick as the ones I get. Check the description box to see the ones I get. You can always use the stamps to make them pretty, but I'm more about the functionally than the look. Thanks for watching 🧡
A neighbor gave me one with some bread. I loved the towel I just had no idea what to do with it. I just used it in a bread basket. Good to know it's lint free. How do you keep them white?
Have you ever heard of four sack towels? If so what are your fav ways to use them? If not do you think they're something you'd like to get?

Girl me too!! No problem!
I love flour sack towels. I use them in the kitchen but I know someone who uses them as cloth diapers.
Yes!! Many people do use them as cloth diapers!
Yes! Inexpensive, wash out well and they hold a ton!
Bummer they stopped selling them at Target! I had no idea they have so many uses! We like to have the kids decorate them and give them to grandparents :-)
I was thinking of doing that for Christmas this year. Cute and functional.
I love the color in your video haha. WOW I never heard of this four sack towels before. Something I should try at home. Thank for sharing this amazing tips Shirlee
You should definitely give them a try!
Great tips...I'm often disappointed in how my regular tee-towels dry my dishes, so I'm going to give these a try!
These are much better then regular tea towels!!
I love these towels Grove has some pretty ones but at $8 for one towel i prefer to purchase elsewhere😕

I wash them in the laundry with just detergent. If they need it I will use baking soda and vinegar.
My grandmother always used flour sack towels and they last forever!
The best!
Wow! No, I’ve never heard of these before, but I’m ALWAYS looking for something like cheese cloth! 🙀
These work great as a cheese cloth and you wash them and reuse them.
Excellent wowww
Never heard of them. Just ordered some. Can I use these to wash dishes. I don't think companies are making handiwipes anymore. Thanks.
Yes you can!
