I used to think the way people acted in disaster movies were amazingly stupid. And now that we’re going through this I realize they weren’t acting stupid enough.
Underrated comment. Yeah deep down we're all just animals. :/
This year better end up in future history courses.
Edit: Didn't expect all the likes. Thanks everyone, stay safe. :)
We literally had people spreading the virus INTENTIONALLY. In the films it's always some evil corporate because there's some spoils to it, in reality it's just dumb people for shits and giggles.
I know, right? That's what blows me away after all this. People actually behave dumber in real life.
Right? In movies they try to drive out of town, hoard food, try to find heat and shelter, in real life they hoard on toilet paper when it's not even a stomach virus, they shot at a hurricane, they attacked 5G towers because being constructed while covid is going on cannot possibly be unrelated. Oh dear disaster movie writers, they had way too much hope in humanity.
Bitchslapped real life isn’t much different, the Chinese you see

So I had lost my home back in 2020 and was sleeping in my car, driving around LA like a nomad and it was genuinely the most surreal year of my life because literally nobody was outside. I could drive anywhere and everything was quiet it was freaky

Did it start with a bullet to the brain? That'd fit in line with the Fallout intro to the video
Sounds like you entered the Twilight Zone. Sounds really fun.
Yeah I still had to go in to work because my employer brought a bunch of cleaning wipes and masks when the virus kicked off and the company and staff were considered 'essential' as a result. It was bs and we all resented it but that 1 hr 20 mins travel through London was great, it was awesome not being sandwiched in the underground anymore

crazy how it’s been 2 years since i watched this. hard to believe the world was like this at one point 😭
I honestly prefer those old days over the ones we have now...
I remember being a huge germaphobic at that time (I still carry my bottle of alcohol) but I no longer have the same precautions. You know I learned that we have to adapt, and face our sad reality.
That’s how easy it is to manipulate many people. If you think notes weren’t being taken…
My job made us go hybrid with working both from home and at the office and I miss being fully remote. It was why I took the job. Every time I'm stuck in traffic, or have to take a detour because of an accident, or almost have an accident because of an impatient driver, I always think, "I wouldn't be dealing with this bull if we were just working remote again." We only go in two days a week, but still.
I now half the time try to find an excuse to not go in and to just work from home. This week, I'm dogsitting for my mom 😂. I legitimately am, but this dog can hold himself for up to 15 hours, I *could* have gone into the office today...but my workplace doesn't need to know that.
I get the sense my co-workers are doing the same, or they claim they need to arrive late, lol. Nobody likes going in to the damn office.
I love how those people had no problem with 4G thats allright but when you get to 5? Nah thats too much, thats where the draw the line!
Thats too many Gs!!!
I've met people that literally said "I don't know what 5g is exactly but I know it causes cancer". More then 1 person has told me they think Bill Gates invented it to track them with microchips
Actually there was, also with 3G, but as it became normal part of our daily lives those people just died out, like they should. It will be the same with 6G
i think because the frequency is a good amount higher. i dont want to shlttalk 5G nor do i think it caused the virus or some BS. but it is in fact a higher frequency than before and it also needs a lot more towers to sustain a stable network. there are no long term studies that can show how much and if it really affects the human body, just because it needs time for these studies. perhaps its really a bad idea like asbestos was in a retrospective view, and perhaps not, perhaps its just like a microwave and as long as you are not braindead it will not hurt you. but i think it is better to discuss something and keep an eye on it than to dismiss all critics as lunatics, this doesn‘t refer to your comment especially, but to the tone in many comment sections

The part about the supply chain really broke me apart, seeing all that food being wasted still touches on my nerves and is the biggest tragedy if you ask me
Even before all of this, 33-50% of all food produced ends up in grocery stores dumpsters. Deadass. Statistic: you could solve world hunger 4 times over with the amount we throw away in 'developed' countries. And that was before this mess.

"The CEO of Australia"
When you remember that Australia is literally a registered private company in the USA, with all shares owned by the Australian government, for the purposes of facilitating trade.
How does that work?
@@meideval basically during the last financial crisis the Aussie government looked into selling bonds to American investors. However, to do that, you have to register with the SEC, per the Securities Act of 1933 and other subsequent legislation. He's actually only half-right, because Straya is registered with the SEC *explicitly* as a foreign government, not a "private company".

Having worked in countries where malnutrition and starvation was common, the part where they are destroying their food supplies physically hurt me. Not blaming the farmers, though, it likely hurt them more.
40% of all food was wasted yearly before the pandemic even happened
I think it should raise concerns about how much food the restaurant industry wastes. Ultimately, humans needed to eat the same quantity of food as before. The only thing that changed was that they bought it from grocery stores instead of restaurants. So why was so much food surplus created? Perhaps because this is the food restaurants would have otherwise thrown away?
@@Oscar-if6lq Most of the excess was being shipped overseas, mostly to Africa. The U.N. predicts that some 250000 people will starve this year because the supply lines were cut
Some donated it, I work at a summer camp and Praire Farms had so much excess milk they just started giving it to us for free and we were handing it out to the local community. We were getting something like 300 gallons a day.
@@Oscar-if6lq restaurants always throw away food since for hygienic reasons they can't use the food leftover from customer or from cooking and giving it away isn't always the best solution, that's also why it's becoming more common for restaurants to give you the leftovers in a bag to bring home
