Thanks for the reaction, I enjoyed it and have subscribed. Will have to watch more!
I feel like too many people are sleeping on Orville. I honestly like every song on Bronco. Some are ones that after you sit with them they get under your skin. (for me Kalahari Down was that way, started meh, now its one of my favorites).
BUT....I personally highly recommend Hexie Mountains!
I want to talk about it a smidge, no spoiler but just notes on it so ignore the rest of this if you don't want it.
The video to Hexie Mountains is stunning, but imo, it distracts from the lyrics. It makes it seem like its about drugs, but depression can be addictive so maybe...idk.
Most people don't get it....and I'll try and be short, but basically it was written about the severe depression he went through during the lockdown. The mountains in question aren't a location but represent the depression and dealing with/getting through it etc. As someone who has always had depression but covid made it exponentially worse and still trying to get back to baseline...its quite cathartic to listen to a song about it and see I wasn't the only one.
Anyway, keep up the great work!

Whenever I’m not feeling good mentally I’ll just lay down on the floor and listen to his song “all I can say” on repeat while crying until I feel better, it works wonders

He covered Jackson by Johnny cash and June Carter with Trixie Mattel and it’s amazing, I can’t recommend it enough

I do love your vivid analysis of this song. I also see a motel with neon signs and a starry sky either in Arizona or Santa Cruz.

You should definitely keep reacting to Orville Peck. "C'mon Baby, Cry" is (ironically) a more upbeat and hopeful song than the ones you've seen so far, and "Daytona Sand" has a fun (and queer) narrative in the music video.
My favourite of his songs so far is "Drive Me, Crazy", which is about an uncertain relationship between two truckers (my little heart can hardly handle the gay yearning vibes), but it doesn't have a music video unfortunately
