@@maximum.collecting Totally recommend it if you want to revisit this era. It's like travelling back in time. Plus it's such a great open world game for it's time 🤍🤍
This was a good reminder that I need to give the Ape Escape games another shot. I played the first one a bit, but never felt like I gave it a fair shot. Also, never knew about Frogger’s Adventures. Very curious about this one and am wondering if this was developed internally at Konami or if it was outsourced. 🤔
@@RewindArcade I just looked and Frogger was developed by Hudson Soft (but published by Konami). As I’ve gotten older, I’m starting to think *every* game ever was developed by Hudson Soft! I am not at all nostalgic for PS1-era graphics (I think they’re atrocious now), but aside from story, they’re *probably* isn’t a need to play AE1 (but someone will probably tell you different). AE2 is just such a well-polished game with enough to do so that it doesn’t feel too long or too short! Of all the games in this “series,” PLAY THIS ONE!
@@maximum.collecting Yeah, Hudson Soft was a development (and publishing) juggernaut in Japan. Unfortunately, Konami later purchased them and most Hudson properties either stopped being made or had a drastic drop in quality. I've been told by other people to skip AE1 as well so I'll definitely start with AE2 instead, which I assume is still very (hopefully) affordable these days.
For me its Jak 2. I will love the early 2000s era of edginess forever
@@riverblack123 I never played it, but I see it all the time in game stores! Reminds me of those early Ratchet and Clank-esque Sony franchises
