The only thing allison will learn from this is she cant go to anyone for help.
She cant go to mom bc she claims her mom is abusive.
She cant go to her father bc he's been arrested for protecting her.
She cant go to police bc they will disregard her pleas.
Who does she have left? This poor girl is going to be so traumatized.

Yeah what a messed up system

    • @arespostale_art
      @arespostale_art Месяц назад +12

She made a video recording the day the police came and her literally crying and saying she doesn't want to go with her mom because she is abusive. And the police officer ignored her saying those parts and news media ignore it.
She walked herself to an ABC news station to tell her story because she didn't feel safe turning herself into the police. And ABC continues to cover the story without releasing what she said to them, most likely due to the laws regarding releasing statements from minors without parental consent/state consent in this case since she is temporarily in foster care.
How does a child maintain faith in adults, the justice system, her own safety? What is she supposed to trust in these conditions? Man if she wasn't suicidal/at risk of running away for real... this sure doesn't help her any.
This case is so harmful for other abused kids, too, and potential of them reaching out to police/teachers/doctors who are supposed to help them. I am an adult now, 10 years safe from my abusive situation. And just seeing how she is being treated has been triggering to me and I keep thinking that if I was still a minor, seeing how everything worked for her would make me less likely to risk the retribution of reporting my abuse (she is 15 btw, an age where she is supposedly supposed to be able to pick which parent she stays with, so imagine being a kid under that age who has no choice). It makes me think, "wow, I probably did make the right choice not going the CPS route and taking it all with a smile until my abusers so graciously allowed me to move out of home at 16 to live with my boyfriend and they escape all the financial burdens." BUT THIS IS NOT HOW WE AS A SOCIETY SHOULD MAKE OUR KIDS FEEL. Because that shouldn't be the right choice. Kids should be able to feel safe turning to adults (especially the cops and court system!). They shouldn't have to supress their voice when faced with abuse. Running away from home, or even worse actions, should NOT be the choice they feel they have to make in the end.
The system IS failing her. Because she is not feeling safe or comfortable with the decisions it made. It is not sufficiently showing *her* support and explanations for its actions, and the feelings of distrust/discomfort/fear/suppression that is causing her to feel matters more than the "truth" of which parent is in the right or whatever else people say. Because whatever the case,
Alison accused her grandfather and mother of sa and physical abuse (please go to r/alisonchao as there are copies there people posted of the emergency protection order against them with the details. Unfortunately, youtube removes comments with links automatically now due to anti-spam measures).
Alison chose to stay with her father for the year after those events.
Alison now, a year later, is continuing to say her mom is abusive (in a video she recorded while confronting police the day before running away). Again, even if you are one of the people believing she was coached, it doesn't matter because she is currently believing that or actively choosing to side with her father to stay away from mom. Again, let's set "truth" aside for a moment to just hear that her mind has decided she wants to stay away from mom's care.
Alison is the one who told the police she did not want to go with mom or to a facility. The police and her mom were trying to force her to go and they ignored her statements of abuse and are ignoring her choice and decision in this matter. A choice she SHOULD have because she is now 15.
Alison is the one who chose to physically runaway. Even if dad helped her, we know based on reports of her sighting that she was roaming around freely.
Alison is the one who chose to turn herself into a news station ragher than the police. I mean this kid can't even go to the police directly now. What kind of message does that send?
And these actions and statements are all being disregarded and disrespected by the courts and adults around her, and ignored in news reports. The system IS failing HER. It sided with the mother she is sided against. It didn't side with her. These feelings and memories of this event will shape her resistance to the system and ill-will now. And frankly, I believe Alison so it sided with her abuser rather than the victim. And this same system is going to kick her to the curb when she turns 18 and it is no longer a case for the child court system.
I can only hope that whatever happens from here out, Alison can remain safe until she is 18 and can be safe to actually decide for herself. I am on her side and I DO believe her. And the fact that the system us showing her and children across the nation that they will be so disregarded and silenced is absolutely devastating.

I still had to send her at 7 despite her vehemently not wanting to go, I video taped her to show I wasn't willfully delivering my child later than the set time for no reason. The judge let it drag out for years, didn't read psychological reports and school reports that supported me as the custodial parent. Annie said she never thought something like this would happen after she filed for divorce and that she believes what is happening amongst other things is parental alienation which the doctor that was advising her said was abuse and a psychiatric emergency that needed to be swiftly dealt with. The mom said she wanted joint custody with the dad after the dad took parenting classes. She also said in court documents that she wanted Alison to go back to in-person school with a chance to take honors & AP classes and to be able to participate in things like basketball and debate which Alison used to love. why would a kid who’s 15 , functions well at school, make up abuse lies. She doesn’t want to be with mom, feels unsafe. Annie called her a “young girl” who doesn’t know anything and is upset about divorce- that’s a deflection from alleged abuse - a very serious charge that Allison made, that needs to be investigated. Annie claimed they had a “ close relationship”. That sounds very doubtful since Allison implies otherwise, and is another deflection from the abuse allegation. 15 is no young girl, she’s very close to being an adult, who should have protection from the parent she trusts, her father. Annie also said from her lawyers letterhead, that people on the Internet should stop commenting . Talk about controlling. No Annie , you invited the public to be interested and help find her daughter, so she’s safe. Hearing Allison say on video she’s been hurt by her mother, won’t go back is very concerning. Mom doesn’t sound like she cares about her daughter’s fear of her, as if to imply it’s nothing or a lie. The mom’s stances don’t check out.

A mother's and child's love is usually unconditional. However, when a child accuses her mother, Annie Chao, and grandfather, Arthur Chao, of sexual abuse, it is shocking. Why would any child make such claims against their own family? Instead of addressing the allegations, Annie tries to have her daughter committed to a mental hospital, despite the daughter having no history of mental health issues. Blue Shield initially refused to cover the fees, yet somehow she was later cleared by the insurance. The media fails to report on this, despite the existence of public court documents. Annie, who works for the government and makes generous donations to the Monterey Park PD, appears to use her resources to manipulate the situation. The media prioritizes sensationalism over truth, highlighting a disturbing trend in our society.
