There comes a time in every travelers life when things go horribly wrong. No matter how well prepared you may think you are, the frustration of having an epic travel experience not living up to your expectations can be more than a little annoying.
This video was supposed to be a fun (and luxurious) Delta One review on the 767-400. I will concede that it was luxurious, but there were several points along the way where I was starting to think that it wasn’t fun.
Anyway, I salvaged what I could from the footage. Technically, it does qualify as a Delta One review. However, it’s not as complete as I would have liked it to be (you’ll understand why approximately halfway through). I guess that means that I’ll have to try it again sometime…
For all you technical airplane nerds out there: I had seat 6A, the aircraft registration was N840MH, and the flight time to New York (JFK) was 5 hours and 7 minutes.

Thanks for the video, Scott! Sadly, you perfectly encapsulated the Delta experience lately…
😳 I just booked a delta one flight for December . Hopefully it’s better
You’re very welcome Jeb, and thanks for stopping by! So sad to see Delta moving down the ranks after being on top for so long. 😕
J.D. Power ranked Delta #1
It would be amazing if everyone could experience that.
Flew a 767 from SFO-JFK yesterday, also sadly disappointed with the experience.
Jeb, do you still have Ed’s ear? We need another sit down to ask the tough questions. As a Delta loyalist (and to a fault) every time I fly I feel utterly disgusted and swindled.
Great video. Mad to see I had the exact same issues with a dirty tray table and disappointing snack box on a transcon Delta one...
Wow, I hope this isn’t becoming a regular thing for Delta One. 😮
@@sanspotter Another great review Scott! Those bistro boxes are junk so therefore fitting that they are full of junk lol ;( I recently flew Delta one on their A330 neo JFK to AMS and their hot meal they served me looked like an old 80's tv tray dinner... And I also rarely saw a flight attendant, even had my call light on for over 30 minutes! Love your commentary keep up the great work!
I had the same exact issues! And what’s worse… I’m still on the flight!
We are planning to fly to fco this spring and Trek Trendy’s review as well as your own has us re-thinking the delta one upgrade.
@@voiceofreason8446 JFK-SAN from what I experienced, it’s just lounge access which still seemed to be a struggle because they looked it up as a domestic ticket instead of a transcontinental ticket. I had to show them the ticket to prove it’s Delta One. On the plane you will only receive headphones, a pillow, and a blanket. Clearly they don’t treat this route like JFK-LAX/LAX-JFK. Overall, I was disappointed.
How sad no meal service on a 5 hour flight!?!? Just a box of snacks is cheap and not acceptable for the high price of the seat!
The worst part about it is that they didn’t even tell us until the meal service started. It would have been nice to know before boarding the plane so that I could have grabbed something to eat from the terminal.
Covid, covid, covid
@@sanspotter Question is would you have had meal service if the flight had left at its booked time slot, and was the lack of food simply due to the massive delay?? Either way surely you're entitled to some sort of refund, well worth reaching out to Delta and asking for one.
@@keithgilliard9191: covid is no longer a valid excuse when every US airline has brought them back.
Sorry for the flight delay but glad you could still enjoy D1 product, lastime I flew on these seats was from LHR-ATL and they are indeed amazing 🤩
You’re right - a lot went wrong on this flight, but the seats were indeed amazing. I hope to do a long haul in one of these eventually!
Flew the 767-400 in Delta One from ATL-SAN a month ago and while it was the stupid snack box situation it was night and day from what you experienced and had a fantastic crew.
They were handing out snack boxes a month ago? I thought that they brought back full meals earlier this summer. 😮
So you got half of what you paid extra for. You got the hard product, but it was downhill from there. A box of junk food for Business Class just doesn't cut it, and disinterested FAs don't help the situation. There are European airlines that serve full meals and give attentive service for their Business Class passengers on even shorter flights. That's what you should get for the premium price.
I really couldn't believe Delta delayed the flight until the next day. Nice view of the A330neo at the end.
Yeah, that A330-900 was a nice surprise! It was the first time I had ever seen one in real life, and man was it beautiful. 😍
As a Delta flight attendant, I’d like to point out that those mobile phone are iPhones distributed by the company. It gives us all information about the flight: passengers connections, elite/medallion status, the full seat map, special requests for disabled passengers. We also use it to communicate to the gate desk during boarding to avoid having to deal with certain issues at the last minute. Not to mention it has all of our required pre flight announcements that seem to get updated daily.
I just had a first class passenger complain that I was on my phone too much when it wasn’t even my personal phone. Very frustrating
Girl please I'm a FA as well and you know you don't need to be on your company issued device for 3 hours... Please.
Good info!!!
I'm aware what those phones are used for. There is no excuse for substandard service in transcontinental D1. I am a Platinium Medallion and MM, the DL experience is definitely "off" for the last year.
Went from SLC to HNL about a 6 hour flight on premium economy. Other than the seat, nothing given but goldfish crackers or biscuits. Delta is taking advantage of Covid for sure. Great video Scott.
Thanks George, yeah, I really hope that the pandemic didn’t kill onboard service for good. We’ve still got a long way to go to get back to the way things used to be.
Oh the ole Covid Card. Yes we cut back everything so it can be blamed on Covid
I flew DeltaOne twice in 2021. And both times, got these snack boxes. One of these trips, I decided on a return flight to Hawaii with Hawaiian Airlines first class instead. Full service meals were served. Delta has definitely been using Covid as an excuse.
Not the DeltaOne I’d expect, I mean, even United will now once again offer fresh meals in coach. I feel like Delta is dropping the ball here. (And I’m like there No. 1 Fan) haha
Awesome review as always!
Thanks man! Delta should have served a hot meal on this flight - I wish they would’ve said something before we boarded the plane!
@@sanspotter its really inexcusable that no proper meal was served ..add inattentive cabin crew and it is outrageous...write a snail mail return receipt requested to the CEO....seriously...
Delta is dropping the ball on purpose all in the name of money.
@@sanspotter had a 5hr, nearly 6hr flight from Sea to Hnl on DeltaOne and wasn’t served a full meal either. This was Oct 2021. It was disappointing lol.
We just took this Delta plane 767-400 Business class this morning from Las Vegas to New York in the AM and I am quite actually sad to report that they no longer have those blankets in your video but replaced with WAY cheaper very thin blue blankets that were kind of scratchy. The meals were a boxed one and werent that great at all with either a charcuterie board option or banana bread for breakfast (didn't care for either one of the options ) BUT the service was quite phenomenal on my flight very attentive with drinks and water and the seats and TV screens are amazing. They need to bring those cloud like blankets back for sure
Very fair assessment, and I'm Platinum Medallion with Delta. Granted, I'm a PM who only buys main cabin, so when I do get upgraded to first, I'm totally fine with those dinky snack boxes because I wouldn't have gotten anything in the back 😅 (they finally brought back a few more snacks for Comfort+ on longer flights).
I think my problem was expecting a full meal. Going from expectations like that all the way down to a Bistro Box is mega disappointment. 😄
@@sanspotter And you should have gotten one too since they were supposed to be back for D1! Even pre-COVID I couldn't get myself to buy Delta FC, much less now. You are a brave soul 😅
Great review! That delay was so brutal, with no meal service to match :( aw
Thanks man! When one thing goes wrong, everything goes wrong. 😅
awww. *sademoji* Our troops send their sympathy. haha
You're my fav reviewer and keep up with the humor. It's appreciated my all. Seems nothing stays up on DL 767-400's if you watch the toilet rim and window next. lol
I'm sorry your experience wasn't great, but I'm glad someone else had an issue with the flight crew. I had a short regional flight from DTW and had the exact same experience of the first class cabin attendant just wanting to be on her phone the entire time. Take care and safe travels back, sir. Thank you for sharing your experiences.
You’re very welcome, and it sucks to hear that you’ve experienced the same thing on Delta recently. Sounds like they’ve really declined over the past year or so. 😕
That’s the most depressing water salute I’ve seen 💀😳
Oh boy, i'm on a Delta One trans-con flight this week and was really looking forward to meal service (not to mention a clean tray). That's disappointing to hear so many people still having this type of experience.
It's shameful they served you a snack box filled with junk food in business class on a long-haul flight...and in the morning after a 24 hour delay. Sheesh!
Blimey that box of junk food..a beautiful description Scott! Another excellent video
Thanks Neil! Hopefully they’ll have it all sorted out before your next big trip to the US. 😎👍🏻
Thanks for the video 👍
i flew this same plane SAN-ATL. I sat both in the aisle and window versions of that seat. and tbh, i prefer aisle version. there’s a lot more room and the counter there is much bigger. still a fantastic product!!
Interesting! Someone asked me to switch seats with them on this flight, but I declined because I thought the “window” seats were better. Good to know!
thats unfortunate about the no meal thing. I find it so odd that it is so inconsistet lately. Had a non delta one first class flight a few weeks ago from LAS-ATL on a 767-400 and had a upgraded breakfast box that was slightly better than their traditional covid times snack box. Considering this was labeled as Delta One, Im shocked! Also had a 5 hour flight from MCO-SLC in first with the same snack box as yours while I had other family members who were on DTW-LAS first class and got an actual sandwich! Hope this gets better sooner than later :(
Loved seeing Phyllis from the Office taking a good hard look at your meal 👀😂
AND the perfectly timed baby shriek lol
I just flew a 1.5hr flight from Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur in economy on Malaysia Airlines and even we got a hot meal (that I picked on the MAS website while booking the flight). Shame on Delta for that ridiculous box of junk for a 5hr flight. Coincidentally, our flight also was delayed by 24hrs, but the airline put us up in the really nice airport hotel for the night along with generous meal vouchers.
Take this video to Delta Customer Service on Twitter, and Facebook, also get it to their CEO, COO and VP of operations. They need to watch and comb through the comments!
They are too busy combing thru spreadsheets
This video is very comforting knowing I’m flying on a delta 764 in a few weeks from JFK-LAX😶
It’s a really nice airplane actually! Better bring snacks just in case though… 😬
@@sanspotter yeah I’m excited, have you ever flown on premium select on the 764?
Great video as always! All this information including the food/snack options are online before during and after ticket is purchased so it shouldn't come as a surprise.
Yeah but for a transcon flight it's disappointing... As you can read from all the comments Delta has been dropping the ball in many departments, so these issues aren't just on this flight 😑
Disappointing Delta One flight, sounds familiar.
Surprising, considering how good Delta usually is. 😕
I fly Delta One domestic and international frequently and I never see the updated interior like you had, the ones that I always get are the tired, dated suites. Yes, the tray tables are almost always dirty. I use that little alcohol wipe to wipe all of the surfaces really well, I don't have much faith in their cleaning crews anymore. While the snack boxes are disappointing, I recently got a slice and a half of banana bread as my Delta One meal. That, and the snack boxes, and vast improvements though. Not too long ago, the Delta One meal was a quart Ziploc bag with a small bottle of water, a small bag of Goldfish crackers, a very small bag of almonds, and a napkin. That's it. Not even Cokes were available. First/business perks got the chopping block during covid and that's why they did as well as they did. I don't have a lot of faith in real meals and perks returning anytime soon, if at all, on most Delta One flights. You're just paying for leg room/lie flat seats now, and nothing else.
I just flew from Atlanta to San Diego on a 767 Delta one . Very disappointed with the crew and food. Terrible !
Wow…that’s not exactly encouraging. I was hoping that what happened on my flight was just a string of bad luck, but…jeez.
Oh and I didn’t mention that I was in delta one business. They are still handing out pathetic boxes of food
GREAT VIDEO! Huge fan!! I was going to book a flight from LAX-JFK but the seating assignments show that the old seats are available. Are all the 767-400’s Retrofitted?
I love that seat!
Me too! One of the best looking business class seats in the sky right now.
Love your videos!
Thanks Nick!
767 as an aircraft for a top carrier in 2021 ?
This is an ancient type.
Delta business class has really been leaning into the “covid” excuse for far too long.
The seat does look narrow, I assume it’s because they are squeezing a variation of the delta one suites from much larger wide bodies. Same issue with the B787
Yeah, I could tell that it was a tight fit to get all those seats in there. It was still very complete though!
I flew in that 767 D1 seat on a redeye between LAX and ATL. Honestly, if that armrest by the window could be lowered it would help A LOT with the width. Kind of annoying that it is fixed (similar issue on the A350 but the seat is at least wider). At least for both of my D1 seat/suite experiences, I had a free upgrade from main cabin so I can't complain too much lol.
The J class seats on on 767 have always been narrow since it's not very wide for a wide body. Nothing new. You run into that on most carriers that still fly it. But eh he's skinny so shouldn't be a big deal
@@JuanWayTrips it’s still a good seat and it would be stupid if delta had a much more inferior product on this aircraft compared to its wide body fleet so it’s the best bet. I wouldn’t complain either haha.
My Delta One First Class experience couldn't have been more perfect a few weeks ago! Awesome flight from ATL to LAS.
Nice try Delta
Any idea what caused the delay? Weather?
It looks like an awful flight for me, with all the delay and bad service. Your positive makes it sound much better😅😅
I HATE the Bistro Box product. At least now the choices aren't hummus and hummus like they were a few short months ago. BTW, I don't like hummus, and the junk-food sits in your stomach like a brick. I'm Platinum Medallion, and I complain about the "food" every flight. Horrible. They must be banking serious coin not needing to feed the cabin for this long. I've suggested that the sandwiches they used to sell in Economy (similar packaging) would be MILES ahead of whatever they're calling these selections. Horrible. Awful. Insert your synonym here. They're not good.
And I'm with you. I don't necessarily mind if the FA's are on their phone, but I'd better see them through the cabin more often than I see them on their phones!
Other than that, I like the B764 product. The couple of times we've flown in those seats, they've been comfortable, even reclined, and the entertainment system is top notch (however, the double-prong plugs irk me, I'd rather use MY headphones than theirs).
And like Jeb says, you've perfectly encapsulated the Delta experience lately. Soon it will be time for them to stand out, and I hope it's sooner rather than later.
Many thanks!
Delta has definitely been dropping the ball lately. It’s sad.
Noe Jetblue is the top one
Now
So true about your comment about being an airline reviewer and not relaxing on the flight as much.
Most people have no idea about the effort it takes to create these kinds of videos. 👍🏻
Thanks for another great review. Will hot meals be returning to Delta One?
Thanks Simon! Hot meals have returned to Delta One, but there must have been a catering snafu at SAN that morning. 🤷🏼♂️
Curious if you applied for/got any compensation for no-meals-loaded.
Awesome review! yeah the meal service does look kind of crappy.
Thanks man! Delta is usually pretty good about this kind of stuff - I’m hoping this was just bad luck (and not the new normal).
Something similar happen to me one day, in 2019. Although it wasn't Delta, it was very desperate. As We arrive at the airport at 8:00. And as usual, all the packages are checked, etc, the end, we got to the room to get on the plane at 9:30 I think. And what happened, the flight was delayed a whole day! Imagine!, we got home at midnight. Without saying that it was the last flight I took since that year. I have not ridden in anymore since the pandemic began
The Delta experience that we pay a few hundred more for is a distant memory.
I’m scheduled for a first class seat SAN-ATL redeye in January. Is this the same seat I’ll be in? 767-400
Yes, if it’s first class on the 767-400, this is the seat you’ll get. Enjoy it!
@sanspotter correct me if im wrong, but hear me out. For you to not have a meal in Delta One, a very expensive ticket I must say...does that automatically grant you access into the Sky Lounge? If so, it seems to me that airlines are trying to fatten passengers up in the lounge and then can subsequently offer snacks onboard and can eliminate a meal service. If thats the case im disappointed in where the domestic first class market is heading.
Hey Scott, I think you put a lot more positive spin on Delta than i think they deserved, after they delay your flight by 1 day and then no proper meal on board the flight. I hope Delta took note and will sort out the issues for future passengers. I also heard you mention the chicken & rice LOL
This review would have been so much more positive if there was any chicken and rice involved! 😄 Anyway, I’m hoping what I experienced isn’t the new normal for Delta.
You don't have a platinum card to give you access to Delta Lounge? I hope the Saphire Lounge is good because really not a fan of lounges we have at airport here in San Diego
If your flight is delayed, how long can you stay in a lounge for?
San Diego International Airport is really nice. Yes, flying the transfer out of there is nice.
Thank you always with this review. You will make up for this flight in another Business or First Class trip soon.😁😁😁 You will!!
Thanks man! Yeah, I do have some flights planned which should more than make up for this! 👍🏻👍🏻
@@sanspotter Hahaha.. I hear you. Fly safe always and keep on adding cool comments😁😁😁.
That happened to me too Scott my 9AM flight to JFK got delayed to 3PM
Ugh! I get that delays happen, but that kind of delay really screws things up. Hopefully they did well trying to make it right!
@@sanspotter They pretty much made me going back-and-forth between terminal two and a Tom Bradley it was a nightmare but at least I got to check out the new addition to the Tom Bradley
Aghhh looks aren't everything!! At this point being 215/365 in brutal lockdown here in Melbourne Australia ld be happy to get a Bistro box just to be on a plane going further than 5km from home, until then lm travelling virtually through your lens and humour so thankyou.👍
I can’t imagine still being in lockdown right now! Hopefully vaccination rates down there will get to a point where things will start openly up again. 🙏🏻
I wonder what would be more difficult. Building a faux Air Asia narrow body economy class in Delta's wide body first class and serving chicken and rice, or just serving chicken and rice?
Now THAT’S a good question! 🤔😄
Sorry that had to happen to you, my friend.. these things happen to all of us once in a while (like you and me).. but you did great once again, my friend Scott..
Thanks Erin! Yeah, these things happen. ☹️ Oh well - hopefully it’ll be better next time!
@sanspotter which camera do you use at the moment?
I’m using an iPhone 11 Pro and a GoPro Hero 8. 👍🏻
This guy’s review is pretty solid, and enjoyable. Similar style to that of Paul Lucas, Jeb Brooks, and NonStop Dan’s other reviews. There’s no sense of entitlement or snobbish behavior based on class of service. *Cough* Trek Trendy *Cough*
Every company has its good days and its bad days. Sounds like you caught Delta on an off day. I've flown all the major airlines over the years, and although they all mess up from time to time, my experience is that Delta comes out ahead more often than not. By contrast, if I am forced to fly United, I prepare myself for the worst so that if they actually get something right, it feels like a pleasant surprise.
United has actually stepped up there game, I use to fly Delta all the time but had to switch to United for better route's for work... I would rather fly United than have to go with Delta.
That was a fair review. The meal service was definitely below average.
I was so looking forward to this flight - I know that Delta One is normally really good, and my expectations were high. Oh well. I’m just going to have to try again!
@@sanspotter I am so sorry that you have to suffer this indignity again for us viewers. I do hope that it’s better but personally I would probably try JetBlue Mint instead.
What makes this seat significantly better than what say American offered when they had their 767s? The privacy and stuff is nice, but I've seen some Delta One 767 transcon prices going for $4000 between LAX and JFK and I find it hard to pay that much for these style of seats.
I’ll just stick with my SAN-LAX-JFK routing on AA and enjoy a hot meal enroute. 😉
Can’t argue with that. AA A321T first (and business) class is good!
In India, such a delay would generally trigger a riot at the gate. You should see CollegeAviator's review of SpiceJet (an Indian low-cost airline); a 4-hour delay resulted in a mass riot in which a passenger yelled a death threat at the gate agent.
I wonder how that's avoided here in the States...do you know how?
Wow, I need to check that out! 😮 Here in the US, most people just stand around looking mad, muttering profanities, and vowing never to fly the airline again. 😂
@@sanspotter Here's the link to his video: ruclips.net/video/irAKCUCvuGE/видео.html
crazy thing is i actually saw this plane on final over my house in nyc
It pretty much lives at JFK these days I’m sure. Back and forth across the US all day every day.
Hi Scott, thank you for the video. As an ordinary (not a youtuber) citizen, I now know what to do if a flight is delayed for so long, change the airline, cause you won't be eating(((
...I wish we'd get that here in Portland, PDX to any NYC airport involves connections either in SLC, MSP, ATL or SEA. The only one that involves a 767 (-300) is through Atlanta with a 1 hr 50 min connection. to a 737-900 and offers first instead of Delta-One service.
PDX used to be a major Delta gateway and operation back in the 90s to early 2000s, but now has been pretty much relegated to just another a spoke on the company's hubs. We also lost the overseas service to Tokyo, Seoul, Amsterdam, and London. They do operate a couple A-330s (to ATL and MSP as well as 767-300s [ATL only]) but most flights now are on 737-900s or RJs.
Wow, I thought there was still Delta One service to JFK out of PDX these days! I’m surprised that there isn’t considering how big of an operation they used to have there. Those were the days. 😕
@@sanspotter .yeah part may have to do with the pandemic, but much of the service reduction happened beforehand, particularly after the Northwest acquisition. Before Delta took over Western, we had a number of flights on both them and Northwest to Minneapolis. Portland also had nonstop service to Hawai'i (both Honolulu and Hilo) on Northwest and Pan Am. Portland's sort of become the Milwaukee of the northwest.
flew from hnl-lax in 2019, as i did not want to wait for the later flight on hawaiian and wish i had flown hawaiian. both were booked in first class and delta 763 was so tight with the seats/no space for small items. the fa's were kind of curt.and uncaring. american serves hot meals, and has been for quite a while on their transcon flights- i believe you flew jfk-lax in a premium cabin on aa.....sad to see you only had a box of snacks on your san-jfk delta flight. safe travels
I sat in SAN for 3 days with 2 kids, BUT I was flying standby. I ended up driving to LAX and flying out of there.
Wow… That’s a shame.. That looked like Delta One-off.. Seriously, I’m sure Covid was used as an excuse for abbreviated service. I wouldn’t have been happy either. Even AA has stepped up their basic main cabin service-at least a few weeks ago flying PHX-SEA-PHX even though it’s sans alcohol.🤷♂️I was even shocked, AA waived the baggage fee since I used Amex to buy the tickets. Their yearly fee’s cheaper than the Citi AA card, lately I don’t fly enough to justify their card.
Delta needs to do better on meal service on long flights like this.
They actually do offer a pretty good meal service in Delta One. The problem was that no meals were loaded onto the plane at SAN.
@@sanspotter Sounds like a strange excuse. They loaded the bistro boxes didn't they? Did they explain why no meals were loaded?
No hot food on such a long flight is terrible. Disappointing the plane couldn't be cleaned satisfactorily despite the extra 24hours.
The seat felt narrow because they are. Those seat while they wear the "Delta one" badge, but in reality they are the dame old Thompson vantage seats with a new wrap, lipstick on a pig
If you were to travel on Delta's A350, those are quite different, much wider and more comfortable, plus they have a door.
I would have been pissed especially since I paid for a delta one seat
The Mountainbiker is here!!!!!!!!!!! I would almost say that I am experiencing the same exact situation right now I've had everything planned out to the letter and then boom something crazy happened...
I had to drive 30 miles out of the way to go mentally help start a car but make sure family got home safe
Welp I got the heathwitches and energy drinks let's go another sanspotter video!!!!!
You did the right thing! Sometimes you just have to expect that plans will change - and as long you’re willing to pivot, life ain’t all that hard. 👍🏻👍🏻 Thanks for the healthwhiches and Red Bull as always!
That was complete disaster, Delta should compensate passengers on your fligh
I miss air Asia chicken rice too😭
I flew Delta One, JFK - LAX , and it the worst premium class flight I’ve ever taken. I, too, received an over-sized snack box - which was a total insult, especially since I’d not been advised there would be no hot meal served, for a seat that cost me over $1000. And, as it was with the flight featured in this video, the cabin crew were fairly ‘ghost- like’.
Push-ups were killer.
I’ve been practicing!
Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe NYC had major flooding / weather issues at that time .
The Delta One suites on the A350-900 are way better than these. I had a great flight from AMS-ATL last November.
Haven't flown at all during the pandemic. Did about 100,000 a year prior. All on DL. I'm really not missing it. So much travel drama in the news right now not sure why anyone wants to do it these days.
Wow a long walk after exiting your Uber! Really no closer drop off point? With such a long delay, why did Delta not make an effort to put you on alternative sameday flights, perhaps with stopover in Atlanta? I don’t live in the EU but one benefit there is that airlines have to pay compensation for delays. We’re you not even offered overnight in a hotel or a voucher for food? Enjoy your channel. Stay safe
Haha, no my Uber driver dropped me off at the right spot - I just walked around a bit to get footage for the video. And unfortunately, everything was sold out and there were no flights that could have got me there the same day. But they did credit 12,000 SkyMiles to my account for the inconvenience.
I continue to be shocked (should be used to it by now) how airlines have walked away from serving real food on long-haul flights. United from Hawaii to SFO.....no food. Now, you are going coast to coast and no real meal. It is as if all the heads of these airlines got together and decided to stop meal service. Having been around before deregulation of the airlines (for the younger crowd the government set ticket prices) the only way an airline attracted passengers was with their service. Flying Washington, DC to Denver during ski season the catch phrase for the meal was "steak over Denver." Now, it seems we've got "Junk food over JFK."
I am a Delta frequent flyer and Delta is very good when it's good, but when it's bad, it's one of the worst!!! I have had my shared of horrors with Delta. You were at least delayed in the US. Imagine being delayed overseas with no one answering calls or answer calls and not even know a flight was cancelled and being told there is nothing they can do... The pandemic has resetted the market and Delta has fallen from its grace and allow United and American to leap over.
Ouch - yeah I can imagine how frustrating that must have been. I hope this isn’t the beginning of the end for Delta. They’ve been so good for so long!
A bistro box on a Delta One flight.......ROFLMFAO...... Sorry, as you may remember I am DL Diamond (though I haven't stepped foot on a DL flight in 18 months)......And that is a total joke, but hey, at least now you can get a soda or water and even coffee ! Sorry DL, I will stick with AA, except the turkey pastrami sandwich which should only be used if you need to torture someone.
This was definitely an unfortunate experience, but I’m willing to take one for the team and try it again sometime soon. 😆 It can’t be this bad all the time!
That soggy sandwich should be put in the Smithsonian as an example of horrid airplane food.
When they call food for "Fuel" you know its gonna be bad!
Did you just said the Air Asia chicken rice?🙈🙈 Oh my ! I missed it too
Haha, yup! And I find it funny that of all the airline food I’ve tried over the past few years (Singapore Airlines business class, Cathay Pacific Business Class, Austrian Airlines business class, etc), it’s Air Asia food that I miss the most. 🤷🏼♂️😄
Delta disappoints again! A pity for you, but certainly another worthy video. ;-)
The scary thing is that there are a lot of people here in the comment section that says this is typical of Delta these days. 😮
I'm 16,I've flown a lot in my life, and I have somehow never got the chance to fly Delta yet.
You’ll get your chance soon enough - they’ve pretty much got the US covered!
Mrs. Cherry Blossom: Well that's one way to ruin a vacation!
Exactly! 😄
Delta is the honey badger of airlines
🤣👍🏻
"24 hours lata" hehe :)
Technically it was 21 hours later, but I couldn’t find a video clip for that. 😆
Great review! Very funny and disappointing at the same time! Rather you than me! 😂😂
The seats are a lot thinner than Thai Airways planes
Compare to JetBlue?
Hello, can I transport your video to another video platform?
Thanks for asking, but no. I don’t allow my content to be posted elsewhere by others.
You for that right about trip reporting Scott. Wait weeks or months for a nice lie flat seat booking to come, get in the air, have meal service, put it in bed mode, then sit there and think "well I need to lay a bunch of different ways for the camera," "what should I say about this bed," "I wonder if we are passing X yet, i need to get footage," "I better get up so I make sure to see the snack basket when the crew comes by," "I really should make another Instagram live post" and before you know it you are sitting upright again. And then for some reason you want to do it all over again! What is wrong with us?
Haha, yeah, and doesn’t it feel awesome to take a flight that you’re not making a trip report for? Those are the best. 😄
@@sanspotter Yea, been harder since the pandemic started and any kind of flight has become video worthy, but I am planning a few flights before the end of the year I'll be free from reviewing!
💯🤙🏽
😎👍🏻
