- The song "I Wonder Where You Are Tonight" is written by Johnny Bond in 1940. It has since been recorded by countless country and bluegrass artists. We play a slow version that is inspired by the recording on the album "The Grass is Blue" by Dolly Parton.
Rosa Ebbing: Vocals
Arne Ruijter: Mandolin, Vocals
Dylan Edwards: Banjo, Vocals
Waas Thissen: Double bass
Elian Ebbing: Guitar
Remarkable performance...If you close your eyes, you would believe that was Dolly Parton singing...
There's a sense of real 'feeling' in Rosa's singing voice that I don't hear with other RUclips singers. With a little bit of luck, I can see this group truly breaking through. My fingers are crossed.
Reminds me of Dolly!
Real country music brought back to life!
Today I have listened to this song non-stop since at least noon. It's now 4 pm. ROSA and FRIENDS make tremendous music !!
Thanks Steve! Glad you like it 🙂
Another great song sung by Rosa and the gang. I could listen to her voice all day!!
A beautiful voice from a beautiful lady and obviously the band
Three chords and a story. The way country was when country was country. Has always been a favorite of mine. Rosa has more than a little Dolly in her beautiful voice.
Thanks a million I'm so darn lonely sitting outside at a gas station getting ready to find a place to lay my head it sure lifted me up xo shalom
Shalom Robert, hang in there. All the best, tom
This girl sounds like Dolly and she hits the notes perfectly. Love her and this group.
The backing boys playing and singing is also excellent.
Oh wow, that girl has a trembly voice, the most beautiful kind of singing in the world
....I couldn't agree with you more..!!!!... Do you know if it is possible to see them play in person...?
What a great rendition!
She's got the voice!
This is so beautiful, I don't know why more people aren't watching it. The RUclips algorithm is cruel!
Blow my mind…I’ll never forget it: I truly appreciate you all. Blow me away, right on
A beautiful sad song that touches my heart. Beautiful music. You are the best guys. Love you all. ❤❤❤❤❤

Guy's it is really a beautiful song and you play it very well and that voice just stunts me From south africa ❤
Outstanding!~ Timing is perfect... Harmony is great.. and lead vocal is not 'over-sung'. Instruments are spot on - and tastefully done. And her voice - Perfection.

quel plaisir de vous retrouver et de vous ecouter😍😍
Very nice!
Wonderful rendition of this song. The beauty of your music and vocals is that it is raw and real. Raw in the sense that it is not electronically enhanced as so many are. Your group is likely much better than you realize. Keep up the good work. It is a genuine pleasure to hear your music and vocals.
Ahoj kamarádi bluegrassu ! Jste úžasní !!! Skvělý hlas i vzhled 😀👍Zdravím vás všechny z České bluegrrasové republiky 🤠🪕🎻🔥

The tune reminds me of 'What a Friend We Have in Jesus'.
Well done!
“Where are you tonight..?” I am in good place, all the better for hearing this long awaited performance. Everything you give to these videos is magical; picking, harmonies, timing, phrasing and that voice of Rosa’s. This will have countless replays from me. I would love to see you gigging some day soon.
Hi Nick, so glad you like our music 😊 We haven't had the opportunity to to play a live gig with this group. We're eagerly waiting for the day this is possible. And trust us, when it does, we'll be shouting it from the rooftops right here on this channel! 🎶😃
You guys are GREAT! Love Rosa's voice
This is really good. Would like more of her.

Lovely, just the right amount of pathos.
Love ❣️ all Bluegrass 😅
Rosa’s great. Also love the banjo.
Excellent singing and musicianship. Well done. 👍
A new fan.
Greetings from Germany!
Dávám palec nahoru !!!
Charming.
Prachtig!!!
Good job girl can sang
I'd listened to a version of this song sung by JK Lee then spotted that your version had popped up. The Lee version was played at a faster pace , a problem so many Bluegrass bands show. Your version was slower and I felt it captured the pathos of a woman wondering where her husband was much better. Well done.
Yes, normally we play it faster too. But when Rosa wanted to sing it, we listened to the Dolly Parton version on The Grass Is Blue which is nice and slowly. We figured it would fit Rosa's style perfectly. 😊
Banda muito boa gostei
Boyhowdy I like!!!
You guys are the best. Any chance of getting you on Spotify?
Rosa is so hot my iPad just caught on fire❤❤❤😂😂😂
Great work guys! I do however recommend that ya'll get some cheap moving blankets to hang on the sides, out of frame, and then a blanket on the floor, and one behind the camera to eliminate the reverb. This will help focus the sound more into the microphones and not bouncing around the room. You can also hang sound blankets but those are way more expensive, so unless you're going for a studio sound, I would say just get some large moving blankets and hang those with the one on the floor.
Keep it coming!
any chance that You people perform on this year Rotterdam Bluegrass Festival?
much much too short. beautiful rendition. I use it to learn flatpickingin.
Elian- I’m still your biggest fan from Nebraska. My daughter is a friend of singer Laura Jansen and has been to Holland to see her. Do you know her?
We do now! Thanks :)
I met her a couple times when Laura lived in California.
Would you sing an oldy? I'm not Lisa. By Jessi Colter. Thank You

Rosa sounds Irish to me. Is she?
