Thanks! The Carter Family songs are always something special and a joy to play! They have so many great songs, Wildwood flower, The Storms Are On the Ocean, East Virginia Blues, Can the Circle Be Unbroken, and the list goes on. Together with the Lomax recordings, maybe Lead Belly and later artists such as Doc Watson they created the bedrock of traditional American music.
This is my first time hearing this group and am very impressed with Rosa's rendition of this folk classic. Her phrasing in a view lines I suspect are of her own making, which I like very much. Here's hoping that we hear a lot more from her and the others.

Rosa's voice is a similar voice base profile to Dolly Parton, similar soaring vibrato ,but slightly nasal ,and slightly raspy and I Love it. It gives Little Rosa her own signature , don't ever change ! Beautiful Tear jerking version ,like it was hot and fresh of the song writer's note pad. Thanks where ever you are, or from !!!
@@orestmedvid2704 yes, I liked it . Slightly raspy does work well , .if she smokes though , then best to quit smoking. Nat King Cole was a heavy smoker and kicked the bucket too soon .

Lovely sound, the male backing singers support the vocalist really well and as for her, what a wonderful tone she has. It is full voice, clear and authoritative for this old song. Finally, for the instrumental ensemble, they give a wholly sympathetic styling to a song that has been somewhat neglected in recent times. So pleased I spotted the group on RUclips.
