I'm 53 yrs old. My very first concert was Ratt in 85. Still one of the best I ever saw. My kids know who Ratt is, and they listen to them also. The 80s was the best decade for music.
I so wanted a "hair-guy" when I was young(er)... But then when I'd get close enough to touch one; their swagger and amazing conviction freaked me out, and I'd shy away. I love everything about them, but can only watch from a distance. They are kryptonite to my inner-"Barb Wire". (Darn it.😫)

I can’t stand today’s music except for the metal and some country music. I suffer from depression and anxiety so I know what you mean about depression. A buddy loaned Out of the Cellar to me and I got hooked on Ratt. Bought this album the day it hit our record store and I bet I listened to it 7 or 8 times that night, following along with the lyrics on the inner sleeve. Then later I bought the release of their EP which was really raw and crunchy. Saw them in concert 3 times also.
I’m 55 and RATT is still my favorite band,..The music makes you want to be adventurous, bulletproof…keeps me in a great mood, with my herb..Keep Rockin..peace

As a teenager back in the 80's, this group was my favorite out of the hairband era. Ratt actually sounded original, putting a bluesy touch on their brand of hard rock. Plus, Warren DeMartini was an awesome guitar player who is horribly underrated.
Warren is a truly great player and song writer. He was probably the most influential member of the band as far as defining their sound, his blues influenced rock guitar playing is very original and it's not hard to identify his playing. I got to see them live but it was right around 2000 so it wasn't the original lineup, Robbin obviously wasn't with them at that point but they still put on a great show. It's sad how things played out for Robbin Crosby because I've read and heard that he was a good guy, hopefully his soul is at peace. RIP Robbin

What an absolute blast that decade was. I turned 13 in 1980, I mean, what more could a guy ask for? Metal ruled the world and weekends were for concerts, car shows, and babes galore. The 90s were the absolute opposite. Heroin, depression, dark music. I don't get it, things were not that bad, but they became that bad and it still is. We need to get back to a time when music made you happy and the things that mattered most were falling in love, a sunny day, and maybe a kegger. It sure was awesome.
Not sure what kind of 90s you experienced but I got into electronic/house/trance music during that time and it was amazing as well. Totally different scene but wonderful memories and still enjoying the music today. Along with Ratt and the rest of the 80s too.
During the era when Revlon assumed control over everything in their massive attempt to rule the world, RATT were the one band I truly liked and thought were good.
