Hi Daniel, I am struggling with somniphobia and insomnia. I feel like i’m in a mental trap, where I’m scared to lose consciousness and fall asleep- but I’m also scared to not sleep as I know it will cause my anxiety to further spiral and will stop me functioning. I have to go away next week for a new job and I am terrified of how i’ll sleep. I felt the insomnia was somewhat manageable but paired with the somniphobia I feel like i’m at a breaking point.
Any advice on how to begin to overcome this?
