Hi there is a 'Flip Left and Right' Checkbox under the 'Blend Shapes' tag of the Maxon Moves Object

Can this be used with the character rig in C4D?

No the CC4D Tools and Riggs are specific tools for characters exported from Character Creator 4 or AccuRig and therefore the Motion Tools and retargeting setups will only work for those specific riggs
