Well done Mike 🎉🎉🎉!!!! I remember my first ray they are fantastic fish I have a couple things for you first thing a great ray mark for you to try is here in valley penross head land up on the rocks next to the beach there's a car park right there follow the path on to the head when you get there there are some metal pipes cemented into the rocks great for rod holders if you see them you are on the mark and your sliding ledger rig you were using if you want to make sure your rig won't tangle when you cast it out and it hits the water reel in 2or 3 meters and that should straighten your snood out and night fishing you'll get better indication on your rods if you attach a led light to your stand your rods should light right up works great for me don't even need a tip light best of luck pal ❤

Well done mike my first ray I was buzzing, caught it facing the hydro hotel llandudno, just short of 15lb brilliant fish, take care for now hopefully John's finger is ok.

@@thatsabite it did 10 minutes to land it mike,glad John's finger is ok,my dog bitten the end off mine but the hospital glued it back on, it's ok now that was 3 month ago lol,keep up the good work Mike.

Well done , the excitement was definitely on parr with my excitement catching a codling in Prestatyn last month , ( video on my channel if you want to see it 😂) good sized Ray too for your first one , you and John should try mostyn for the rays , been quite a few coming out recently, along with plaice and congers , cracking video, well done 👍👍🤠
Looking back through it I chuckled... but.. who doesn't get like that when they catch a first spieces 😅🤣 Mate, I so wish I had another cam set up with the angle of it coming up and over the kelp bed... that was pripper nerve wracking, but... I nailed it. It propper kited to the left 😅🎣

Great video heading that way in 2 weeks for the weekend if it's £10 to fish Llandudno pier I'll be spending it on petrol to go to amlwch pier heared there's a lovely chippy there lol

@@thatsabite the bass don't shoal there any more though, but there is still a flow coming out of the station. Its weedy as hell there now, should be good for bream and mullet still.

@@thatsabite tight lines bro. There's some big fush at wylfa, all round the point. Tide runs like a train off the very point, and fish take shelter in the bays there. Huge congers inside the bay next to the outflow, and iv even sen tope caught in nets there years ago.

I kinda have mixed views on 'informative videos' with 'secret marks' -- Its always nice to help others catch a fish or two and by all means if you have truly found a 'secret mark' keep it (and perhaps your video) to yourself but Ty Croes is hardly a secret mark.
That is not ty croes that's down road from my house, good mark old life boat great vid an catch mate.
Erm, I pretty much often help others by showing them marks, one video I don't tell a mark and I'm ridiculed for not telling the spot? UNBELIEVABLE.... Ty croes.... yes that's the mark 🫵👍
