I used to live in Towyn in the mid-70s and fished where you are in Colwyn Bay. Also, to your right, there used to be an old quarry, which we fished from, and we used an old concrete blasting shed for shelter. All along, that coast fished well back then. However, I don't know how it fishes today. It's great watching your videos it brings back so many memories. Thanks for sharing the session with us. 👍
Hi bud have you considered keeping those whiting for bait and this time of year is a real struggle sea fishing ps a good cod mark where I've done well is Rhosneigr reef ( behind oyster catcher car park ) there's a pointed reef there fish it on your left and I've had the biggest bull huss I've ever seen there so best of luck see you on the next one give John a high 5 from me when you see him next :)
All valuable information mate, I'll have to give that a go! That's one area I haven't fished yet, it's on the agender. As for john, I'll definitely give him a high five! 😅
Congrats Mike on the video used to fish there a lot on hi and low water but only at night seems not to fish well in the day but not fished there since the work is being done nice to see a fishing pier being built will it be free to fish on or will you have to pay? All the best from Paul from Staffordshire 🇬🇧 👍
Yes, it's a very nice spot if I'm honest, should do some nice fish this year. The platform i think will be free, you would probably at best get three anglers on there at a push, looks pretty decent.
It depends where you are from? If your starting of, I'd definitely look at the two hook flapper approach and don't go for the cheapest rod and reel combo, push the boat out abit, because it will then do for bigger fish. You can get a penn wrath surfcast combo online, I'd definitely say start of with that.
Used to fish a little further to the right of were you're set up , at Tan Lan. Was brilliant in the day. Must try it again this autumn/winter 👍
Oh yes, thats some spot 😉

If they aren't going to swim away keep them for conger bait. See what I can do about meeting you in Amlwch at the weekend 🐟🎣
Yes mate, I would normally keep them! I haven't got my freezer any more since a house move. 😩
thanks for keeping us entertained and up to speed
No problem buddy, glad your enjoying them 👍

It's nice to see Fish's around
Exactly mate, large numbers of whiting. I'm convinced around that area will fish well, especially in the summer too.
Looks like ya been chewing on the lug there lad 😂😂
Full of protein 😋
Where's John? He's dropped off the chart. Miss the banter between you two
He will be back before long, he's good though!
