Just subscribed after coming across you by accident. Got to say it's nice to see a normal bloke with the right attitude to fishing and just doing it just for relaxation. I'm doing my best to get through all your videos and loved the ones where you fished abroad and the ones with your Father. I took a rod with me to Mexico (Cancun) and also to the Dominican Republic but the Mrs wasn't too happy. I can really relate to the early morning fishing to clear a hangover as that's what I did and it was a different world fishing while watching sea turtles swim past. I live on Anglesey in a small village called Amlwch so looking forward to see where you fish next. I've been fishing since the age of 6 and I'm now 53 so if you decide to fish Anglesey again and need any marks to try then give me a shout. The only advice I can give you is don't change a thing, you give good advice and set a great example taking all your rubbish home including other peoples, top man, keep them videos coming. I'll give you a mention on a few fishing forums to try and get you some more subscribers.
Also if you get a chance then check out GAMEKEEPER JOHN'S SLINGSHOT SHOOTING & FISHING. He also has the same attitude as you to fishing and his videos are as honest as yours so if he blanks he still posts them. He fishes local to Anglesey and North Wales so if you watch his videos it will give you a good idea what's being caught before you set out.
Thanks Anthony, really appreciate the kind words, mate! I grew up fishing Anglesey. It's definitely somewhere I want to get back to fishing a lot more this year! I fished Amlwch the other week. The video should be up this weekend, hopefully. I subscribe to gamekeeper John already, enjoy his content, like you say just honest fishing. That's what it's all about for me, getting out and just enjoying it. You can blank and still have a good time. I don't want people watching who are new to it to think it's a fish a chuck all the time that's just not realistic!
Nice one I'll look forward to it. I live on the Bull Bay side of Amlwch which also has quite a few good marks to fish but I was brought up in Amlwch Port. I would say that between Moelfre and Holyhead there isn't a mark that I haven't fished. If you are after a very easy mark to fish then try Cemlyn Bay past the old Power Station. It's a steep shingle beach but sand further out. It's about 50 yards from the car park to the beach so a very comfortable mark to fish. I have a very good mark at Carmel Head but it's a very long walk. It's the deepest mark on the Island with Llanbadrig being second. If you can cast a 100yards you would be fishing in a 100 feet of water. Great place for pollock with an average size of 6lb there and it's basically facing the Skeries Lighthouse. Best of luck on your next session buddy.
Enjoying the videos 👍. I love your approach to fishing. Adventure, something different and most of all enjoyment and relaxation. Tight lines my friend 👍
Cheers mate! Love trailing new venues, sea fishing is all about the unknown for me. I think that's what baffles me about carp fishing, on the same pond with the same fish 😅
Nice video👍. Whiting beats a blank and still gets grief.🥺🥺 Got to be in it to win it, and you are certainly in it.👏👏 Shame it wasn't as productive as it looked, maybe on another day.🤔 I look forward to part 3.😃 Take care and stay safe.😷🙊

if you ever venture down as far as Mablethorpe or Grimsby way, you can plonk van on driveway for the night. i'm not to far from both in Grainthorpe village... some cracking fishing at the moment, cod and whiting and various others coming out..
That's kind of you mate! Yeah the holderness is fishing well at the minute too. I'm hoping to get out next weekend. And think that's where I'll be heading!
@@theawfulangler no problem dude, i know what the drive from your neck of the woods is like, i was in sheffield for 28 years before moving over this way. it's a long boring drive. i'm hoping to hit mablethorpe in feb for a spot of fishing, then maybe huttoft on the next one after... 👍
Nice one mate another good watch, them small whitings are a absolute pain but you can only get what's in front of you, will be much better when you get on the island, good luck on the next one
hi you amaze me how you manage to get to all these venues because you are not far away from me and its costly living this far away from the sea and like you I only like sea fishing tight lines keep them coming love your trips
Cheers Craig, its all in the planning mate. With the right tides you can hit a couple different venues in one trip on one tank of fuel. Just like this trip, it's hard work but doable👍🏼
Llandulas is a tackle graveyard, I’m surprised you were getting your gear back every cast , those boulders go out a long way and the beach at low is covered with them , along with smaller rocks etc , very snaggy , but good for hounds in summer further to your right where the river runs in , and some massive bass caught there last summer/ autumn further to your left towards the big conveyor belt, I’ve done a few mackerel videos from there myself, it’s a nice easy beach to fish , good video mate 👍👍🤠
There were one or 2 retrieves that took a good snatch. and I could feel the need to get the lead up once it was out but never felt like losing tackle. It did look like it could be a good summer venue. From what I hear the Cod haven't really shown up on the Welsh coast yet this year.
@@theawfulangler the cod never show up around here 😂, the odd one here and there ( not for me ) just whiting and dogfish, with the occasional dab or flounder thrown in 😂👍👍🤠
@@theawfulangler Forgot to mention in my other post that I also have my reel handle on the same side as you. Been doing it all my life and can't change now and to be honest it makes no difference as it's whatever you are comfortable with but others think it's weird.
Think the Ll is pronounced Cl but the double d I'm not sure on! Double D's always baffle me 😉😅 Glad I'm not the only one to get whiting there, never try ya never know!
Too much bait depends on the perspective 😉 the east coast is blighted by pin whiting this year. So I was determined to try and stay away from those on this trip. You're right though, I could have switched to smaller hooks and bait and had a whiting session similar to the mackerel bashers on a summer holiday 😅
Blimey mate you must have missed at least 4 good bites on that missed one near the end, i'm shouting at the screen to strike it or you will miss it, too late!!!! It was like that all day mate, really good looking bites, but must have been whiting just smashing the baits. Almost impossible to get a hookup, like I say I left them to hook themselves in the end 😅 As for the gopro angle, I set it up on my phone to be right, then watching the footage back it missed lots of the frame like you say. I've got a new chest mount I'm trailing see if that's a bit more reliable! 👍🏼
