Would be cool to have a mission where you build a pattern of life on a compound. get on OBJ from a safe distance and stay on target for 30 mins or so counting up how many Men, Women, Children, Vics are in the area. who comes and goes. then report that to base
with the size of the map i could definitely see the advantage of having usable vehicles but i also see the drawbacks there. definitely excited to give this one a try
What they should do is implement a sirvival mode with a camp system. A camp can only be so big and then you can do different things depending on where your camp is. Like if you're in the woods then you can put barricades in between trees or build a lean-too with sticks and leafs for cover, etc.
The more I’ve seen of this the more I want to play it. I love tarkov however I feel that the quests are empty and hollow feeling. This feels like the mission actually matters.
I think it’s very possible that this game could kill Tarkov solely based on the fact that the dec seem way more competent and passionate when it comes to game design but I could be very wrong.
Hi Riloe! I found out about GZW from your vids and watched some of your other content, instantly loved it! You’re really concise and your editing is top notch. Dropped a sub
Everything I've seen so far is making me really excited to get my hands on this game. Really hope it turns out well. However, looks like we're still waiting for the first game to make your gun and optic transparent to some degree when you ADS to try to simulate having both eyes open. lol
I've been begging devs and modders for a both-eyes-open simulation for years, but they all just say iTs uNrEaLiStiC yOuR siGHt cAnT diSaPPear. Makes me wonder if any of them have ever actually used a real red dot. There's a reason the C-More style red dot is so popular in games - it's the only one that doesn't obscure your vision during ADS.
@@jackw1014 Yeah, the original red dots IRL weren't even see-through at all. You had to use both eyes to transpose the dot over your target. It's not realistic for your gun and sight to completely block your vision in front of you. But I'm sure people who aren't familiar with guns would think it looks super weird if they saw an effect like that in a game, unfortunately.
If they make missions too hard tho or where "you dont want to overstay your welcome" i fear it may become just going in the map to do quests, then LZ out, repeat and thats it, which might get boring and dull fast, hope they add those Strongholds evventually and campaign missions! Hopefully some form of singleplayer or coop only main quests would be amazing! so they can use cinematics and such! (same goes for EFT btw, it has to be single player or instanced coop, so they can use cinematics and things!)
Comon ppl, hit that sub button. Let's get him over 50k. That out of the way. Thanks for the amazing quality vids. I wouldn't have even known about this game if it wasn't for u. Really looking forward to it and more of ur vids on it.
Finally we are heading into more realistic movements and away from looking like a bunch of fast forward hyperactive muppets running around out of control shooting at everything that moves. I am so sick of those! Not fun to play when everyone is going ballistic in games like that. Especially when you can't even move two steps without a f*****g cheater killing you before you even start to get a chance to commit yourself to the fight. It's about time for this! Gray Zone Warefare looks like the breakthrough we've been waiting for. End of April couldn't come any sooner! I am in!
This is pretty much a dream-like game and it actually have a dev team that actually love doing it But I still have one thing in mind, and this is the mixture of many “good things” from other game have the same goal. Yes those “things” might good on it own but when combining all of them into one might be a big mess Well, I guess we don’t have any other options beside wait and watch them cook…..
A more interesting way to do missions with minimal engagement is to simply just heavily punish prolonged contact by swarming the players with massive amounts of contacts. (see operation redwings and the movie lone survivor).
That’s true, but it also doesn’t make sense if you were never detected. I’m more thinking how you can incentivize 100% stealth! But I get your idea too, just making it really turn bad if you end up engaging
I think the guns you couldent cofidently identify are a pump action shotgun that seems to have been modded and is newer so maybe beneli m3; the M1A or since I think I see a bolt on the side of it a lee enfield; an older AK or VPO with a 10 round mag e.g vpo 209, AK47; a newer short barreled AK e.g AK 105, 104 etc or a siaga submachine gun; In the second shot of unidentified weapons I think the ones on the right are definitly RPGs (other coments believe the gray weapon next to the RPG 7 could be a carl gustav recoiless riflez) specifically the famous RPG 7; since I couldent see below the barrels of the rest of the guns I couldent really be sure but it is obvious that whats on the left is an older LMG or mounted machine gun (I cant identify exactly what but it seems to be similar to amercan WW2 M2s rather than german weapons such as the MG42), but less obviously I think the gun next to it may be an FAL with the hand guard removed, which seems likley since this is a strongly NATO weapon; Cant see properly but the colour of the visible plastic on the gun next to the FAL is similar to and Austeyr which is a AUG varient, this makes sense since we have seen this in trailers; it is very difficult to identify the others as only barrels are visible, though due to the lack of hanguards and small sizes of the barrels on these weapons I think they are likley to be low caliber rifles such as .22s.
@Riloe - I know you have spoken w/ the devs but are you not at all concerned that with alpha "coming in Q1" we have still not seen more that 5 seconds of consecutive gameplay? Like a really 20-30m mission or anything? I'm more excited for this game than any other game in my life I think but I'm nervous its just not real or its going to be shit compared to expectations. Why would they not show us something real?
Personally i hope we start out with very low gear or something available at the start. I hate games today where you just start maxed out, some people do like that so they dont have any grinding, but i believe its the whole point to play a game like this to progress, have fun, get better gear, better skills, and knowledge of the map/game, and immersion. So i hope we start all on the same footing at first of wipes, no "EFT Edge of Darkness" bullshit advantage would be great but (dont mind since EFT EOD user here) i would support them if they decided to have game packages, however it would be dumb so no to that for me, 1 price for game would be great, maybe a support pack with no P2W would b great.
I really hope this game will have a good beta support like tarkov has so many people bought eod and i think that’s one of the reasons it’s so successful now
Developing a game based on what players want.. what a novel idea. LOL glad these guys are following it. Insane that so many other devs don't seem to do this.
Honestly happy this might be coming to consoles. All these other tactical shooters that could be on console are missing out on a lot. Can’t even say consoles aren’t good enough because developers prefer the PS5 over anything so hopefully this does come out.
PVP is fun and a great pillar of a game, but I often don't like if PVP is essentially the ONLY thing. I'm very excited to hear about missions being more meaningful and strategic.
10:21 Looks like some of the other ones may be a Beretta 1301 or an equivalent semi-auto shotgun, a 308 AK variant, and possibly a AK74 variant. Hard to tell the minute details with that angle and the photo grain.
Great vid. I'd like to challenge the Contrast on the EFT. Your basing it on the value a player wants from the game and what the devs intend and those dont have to align. The examples you gave were mostly PvE and what PvP is available is opt in IIR. Personally and and I know many who will agree, if there is solid PvP to be had, no matter how much PvE there is between us, that will always be the goal regardless of the incentives. EFT has a lot of overlap potentially with this game so it's far to say if you enjoy EFT it's reasonable to say you'll like GZW. It's also true to say many who don't care for EFT will like GZW.
Another awesome video man! I enjoy how you get right to it! You’re one of my top RUclipsrs I’m currently watching! I salute you man! Keep up the good work!
I appreciate your coverage of this game but I am a bit worried of your impartiality due to your hype and connection with the dev team. This game sounds cool, but as with most of the games like this, I will believe it when I see it and until then I will remain quite skeptical of the devs claims
That’s fine! As I mentioned in a previous video, I’m highly biased as I just personally really like the idea of this game. You shouldn’t take my videos as promotion, just my honest interest
Random detail.. I think it's awesome that they mocap the spec ops guy for the PMCs. I hope they don't use the same animations for the scruffy enemy players.
It would be really cool if you could buy a radio relay or similar in game item which your squad could place somewhere outside the objective as a save checkpoint. Say its usable 3 times before having to go back accross the map and get another. So if you scuff the mission you can restart or have a checkpoint from your own spot. If a squad completes a mission in one go, without placing a relay they could get a bonus to mission score.
@riloegaming I guess we'll all just have one life and when we die the game will delete itself and hardware ID ban us then haha. Loving the vids, keep up the good work
for me as a ArmA fanboy, doing a misson without a single shot fire is actually the best feeling and fun I can get, opposite to absoluthe shitstorm firefight
So @Riloe Gaming, @MFG_Rick. About the mission success/failure/rating. I don't like these quantifiable metrics. Makes it easy to game these systems and I don't think fit the environment the devs are striving for. Especially with things hinting at other factions could be doing the same mission at the same time. What might be more in line with the feel is have how you accomplish a mission impacts the world around you. Like if a firefight erupts at a bandit camp, or on a way there, the world reacts and now that area has a higher presence of bandits in that area for the next week in game time. If multiple factions are on the same mission, then only one can succeed. If another faction beat you to the objective you have to make a decision. if you are going to engage them and risk more difficult mission situations later (for all factions), strike a deal, or accept the negative effects. It would be cool, since the vendors are offering jobs to all factions, that failure doesn't take a rep hit, but you can only gain rep for completing missions. so no negative effects if any faction completes the mission (you don't know if you are the only faction with the same objective), but you can't get the benefits if you don't turn it in. so not only does if you succeed and get loot etc impact your future missions, but how you accomplish them also impact future missions in that area. Mechanics that are not directly quantifiable, but rather more implicit and impact the world as a whole, not just your XP. I think fits better with the overall design goal of the project.
I always liked games were if it's stealth and you fuck up the game does not auto fail you but just goes ok now what you going to do. You got 15 guys coming and 3 ways out and 75 rounds of ammo good luck

The more I’ve seen of this the more I want to play it. I love tarkov however I feel that the quests are empty and hollow feeling. This feels like the mission actually matters.
This game alone has motivated me to get my PC repaired
Hell yea, I'm really excited for this game. And I'm loving the new long form Content, Rilo, looking forward to more!
I think it’s very possible that this game could kill Tarkov solely based on the fact that the dec seem way more competent and passionate when it comes to game design but I could be very wrong.
ur vids are the reason im as excited for this game as i am, hope you get to 50k soon love your content
Good day when riloe uploads
@@jackw1014
Yeah, the original red dots IRL weren't even see-through at all. You had to use both eyes to transpose the dot over your target.
It's not realistic for your gun and sight to completely block your vision in front of you. But I'm sure people who aren't familiar with guns would think it looks super weird if they saw an effect like that in a game, unfortunately.
Nice video as always, those tubed weapons do kind of look like Carl gustavs
I just want these guys to know that I love what they’re doing, we haven’t had a company care this much about a game and a community in a long time
That second behind the scenes pic looked like a browning 30 cal machine gun far left and a couple launchers far right
If they make missions too hard tho or where "you dont want to overstay your welcome" i fear it may become just going in the map to do quests, then LZ out, repeat and thats it, which might get boring and dull fast, hope they add those Strongholds evventually and campaign missions! Hopefully some form of singleplayer or coop only main quests would be amazing! so they can use cinematics and such! (same goes for EFT btw, it has to be single player or instanced coop, so they can use cinematics and things!)
This video talking about mission give me a lot of MGS V vibe
That type of creative infiltration gameplay in that open world multiplayer setting sounds cool!
Comon ppl, hit that sub button. Let's get him over 50k. That out of the way. Thanks for the amazing quality vids. I wouldn't have even known about this game if it wasn't for u. Really looking forward to it and more of ur vids on it.
id love the grade system but also where u get paid more if ur grade is better.
I am in!
This is pretty much a dream-like game and it actually have a dev team that actually love doing it
But I still have one thing in mind, and this is the mixture of many “good things” from other game have the same goal. Yes those “things” might good on it own but when combining all of them into one might be a big mess
Well, I guess we don’t have any other options beside wait and watch them cook…..
We’ll see for sure 🫡
never been this excited about a game before. hopefully this would be out soon...cheers!
10:19 that's definitely Serbian M76 and what seems to be the AN-94 and some kind of a semi auto shotgun
Cause he’s paid by them
He claims not to be in every video, I doubt that he would be lying about that especially while still making EFT content.@@DogeickBateman
So long as you guys handle the hackers better than tarkov, you have my money.
bold of you to assume we play tarkov for fun
Say that 10 times fast got me dying in laughter 😂
Can’t wait for this game. Looks amazing
Absolutely perfect . Can't wait until it releases
Game looks incredible, very interested!!!! Wish listed on steam the second i saw a few minutes of this video :)
i love watching your videos on this game
I really hope this game will have a good beta support like tarkov has so many people bought eod and i think that’s one of the reasons it’s so successful now
Yeah we’ll see what their pricing model is. No MTX is a good sign
Thx for covering this game man looks promising 😁
9:29 BF3 soundtrack sent me back 😪
Developing a game based on what players want.. what a novel idea. LOL glad these guys are following it. Insane that so many other devs don't seem to do this.
Tanoa 'they're in the trees' flashbacks
I would just love to see this game come to Xbox. It looks fantastic, like a lite version of Arma.
after the day before i can't be super hyped about any game
GZ looks great, pretty much everything i want out of something like tarkov. If there is a closed beta i would love to join.
I hope they add weapon customization similar to EFT it will make this more interesting. Also a good progression system unlike EFT
There is definitely an M1 Garand lying to the right of the SVD in the gun pic with the greensceen at 10:15.
It's also true to say many who don't care for EFT will like GZW.
rating systems are IMO usually really annoying because in almost all games they're a little inconsistent
At 10:28 it looks like a 30 cal browning, possibly a fn mag and a Carl Gustav
I don't think it is a FN mag because the FN mag has a small piece that comes out the tube under the barrel
Nice video as always!
This is like a open world ground branch 😮
Another awesome video man! I enjoy how you get right to it! You’re one of my top RUclipsrs I’m currently watching! I salute you man! Keep up the good work!
Keep up the great work!
This looks so awesome that I'm starting to get worried ngl
Have you heard if there will be a squad leader chat similar to hell let loose to be able to keep in contact with the other 3 squads in your faction
Check his previous video about the game. It’s solo group based…interacting or engaging is up to you
I hope theres a suppression mechanic for ai and players. To make shoot and move more viable
If you love fetch quests with stakes you should play Stalker anomaly
I appreciate your coverage of this game but I am a bit worried of your impartiality due to your hype and connection with the dev team. This game sounds cool, but as with most of the games like this, I will believe it when I see it and until then I will remain quite skeptical of the devs claims
That’s fine! As I mentioned in a previous video, I’m highly biased as I just personally really like the idea of this game. You shouldn’t take my videos as promotion, just my honest interest
Lol I saw that Leroy jenkins clip
Random detail.. I think it's awesome that they mocap the spec ops guy for the PMCs. I hope they don't use the same animations for the scruffy enemy players.
Thank you for the great info on this game.
It’s a cool idea, but almost no chance they do something like this, as realism is a key guiding factor to the game’s design
@riloegaming I guess we'll all just have one life and when we die the game will delete itself and hardware ID ban us then haha. Loving the vids, keep up the good work
@@riloegamingYeah they shoulde go for realism. Hate it when people cry around about everything....
dude im so eager to play, honestly i want to enjoy tarcov but levelings and doing tasks feels like a chore more than anything
Great content! Thanks!
for me as a ArmA fanboy, doing a misson without a single shot fire is actually the best feeling and fun I can get, opposite to absoluthe shitstorm firefight
Spicy is what Nikita wants to be😂.
awesome video man keep it up
Asset can also be a human, I hope theres this kind of mission
