I own the 85 700 whats sad is the older model 85 cranks more power than the newer ones. But agreed you can only get maybe an extra 10 horse by getting a new exhaust switching to all pod filters for all four carbs and jetting it just right. But 10 horse on a bike is a very big gain. Btw think the 85 cranked 89 to 90 hp at the wheel. Later models weren't as balanced so they couldn't rev as high so the cranked less power but were set up for more torque.

I own a 97, same model, its 70-75 hp and 50lbft of torque the bike is fast cuz its light af. Maximum of 80hp with mods

Great bike. Great work. Could you be more specific on the handlebars. Exact name, rise, and where purchased? Thanks, Robby

Don't know about the old magnas but I own a 3rd gen like in the video and I've not heard of anyone putting pods on sucessfully, the bike's airbox is very finicky. Most who attempt to modify it create more problems than they fix. Don't think 10 hp is possible with new exhaust on the 3rd gen magnas, thats based on reading many threads on a forum dedicated to magnas from people who are smarter than me, the consensus there is that a couple HP can be gained but not 10.
