    Soooo... 4 months in the making and I finally finished my first pair (this pattern) of mittens. Not that it literally took me 4 months but between work, family and other crafts... yeah. But yay! finally completed & my sister-in-law Loves! them. They will be prefect for the Seattle (area) fall/winter seasons. Thank you for sharing this pattern & instructing it so nicely that even a beginner like me could understand. Thank you!

    just wanted to write a quick thank you for this video. I just finished one of the gloves and now I'm off to do the second one. Your instructions were very clear, your video quality is excellent, and you are an amazing teacher! Also, I'm really liking your way of doing hdc2tog. I'm fairly new to crochet and so far I have been doing it with 5 loops on hook at the end, but with your way the resulting decrease stitch is seamless with the rest of the stitches! Love it!

    This is the best one I’ve found. I like the magic circle closure. Not all bulked up and the thumbs are really great. Some are really fat and bulky. Soooooo... I’m wondering if this mitt could have a cuff on it seeing you start at the other end. In my head I think I can add a rubbed cuff but I guess I won’t know till I try it. Anyway... thank you for this easy to adjust and follow mitt pattern. You’re very good at what you do. Never have I seen someone hold your hook like that. I’m a newbie. Just learned about six months ago. But I’ve made 22 blankets now so moving on to hats and mitts for the grand children. Thanks again.

    Hello! Would I have to do more increases if I have a slightly thinner yarn? At the end of R3, the diameter of my work is 5cm and I'm not certain if that's big enough (I do have tiny hands)? I'm using 100% Baby Alpaca (Worsted/Aran) 112 yards for 50grams if that info helps?

    16:05 So after the first decrease round, I end up with 7 stitches instead of 9 to finish with. I went back and counted and even redid the round to be sure, but I end up with 7 in the end. Did I miscount or do something wrong? it ends up working fine in the end, so I guess it's not a big deal, but I just want to clear that up. This tutorial is awesome otherwise!

    I’m used to doing mostly blankets and scarves and head bands all easy things to crochet. I want to learn mittens and hats really so bad but I’m not catching on to how to half double crochet into a magic circle? I’m so baffled on how to do this? I have a how to crochet book that I learned most of the stitches and I love doing the double crochet the most!
    But this book said nothing about the magic circle? Only how to work in the rounds and joking stitches to make a circle. I really need help with how to create stitches in a magic circle.
    I have spent hours trying to figure it out but still struggling.

    If I choose to crochet my ends in as I go instead if weaving them in will that make a difference?

    • @denisevandal5090
      @denisevandal5090 2 года назад

      No. It shouldn’t make a difference. Except at the end you won’t have to do the dreaded weaving in. I sometimes struggle with that extra yarn as I create new stitches, so prefer to leave them out and weave later when it stresses me out trying to crochet over the ends.

    • @anneaires3984
      @anneaires3984 4 года назад +1

      Hi! Yes, chain 4 and join your yarn (slip stitch) to first chain to create a circle/ring. Chain 1 and do the 10 HDC right into the circle you created. Pull the tail of yarn to close up ring. I don't use magic circle method, I just make a ring with chain stitches. Hope this helps😊😄
