Why does your truck seem to have a surge at idle? I’m looking at one today and it’s doing the same thing, is it an issue?
I could never figure out why it did that, I no longer have the truck, but I always thought that a good lift pump would fix the issue but never ended up getting to one. Thanks for watching anyway!
Nice clear install! Very clean truck my friend! Keep it up!!
Thank you for watching, I appreciate it!!
A little loud for my taste. I tow heavy so I know that will get annoying on long trips. But fantastic video.
Thanks for watching!
We’re there any sensors in the muffler?
Nothing that I knew of or saw! Just a big bare bones muffler. Thank you for watching!
Excellent videos!!! Can you still hear your wife while towing? Asking for a friend ;-). Serious question.
Thank you!! Haha you can definitely comfortably have conversation inside the truck at cruising speeds! Not so much with windows down of course. Appreciate the compliment and you stopping by my small channel!
How’s she running bud? Great video thanks for posting, about to do this to my. Short box, get an intake and that surge goes away a solid bit. Installing a sump and lift pump and probably call it good after that.
She’s running better than ever!! Thanks for the input, someday I’ll definitely have to do an intake! Lift pump is on the list too! Appreciate it!
Hey just a quick question did it use to whistle like that before the Install of the exhaust? Mine doesn’t whistle as much
Unfortunately not, I had to delete the cats, muffler, and turbo resonator to hear this! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the reply apreciate it keep up the good videos
Can you send me link for everything you got for the exhaust I have the mbrp 3” downpipe installed I just need everything else and can’t find it
I bought it at MBRP on sale but it must not be in stock, however I did find it at link below for good cyber Monday price! Kit includes everything except tools.

where would you find a 3” mbrp downpipe to 5” mbrp straight pipe adapter, can’t seem to find any for 2004 duramax
Just noticed you already watched this, it's been awhile but the 5" exhaust will meet up directly (reduce to 3") at/with downpipe, either factory or aftermarket and can use the same clamp. No adapter necessary!
@@605LIFE ohhh, that makes a lot more sense, thanks a lot!
@@treevus9898 No problem!
@@605LIFE now i just need to wait to get the truck, or somehow convince my grandpa to lemme do stuff to it
Was the truck tuned at all or did you just put the exhaust in without tuning it
No tune, no problems! Thanks for watching!
So I can straight pipe my 2004 dura Max without getting a tune ?
@@pilarbazan3435 i don’t see why you would have to get it tuned?
Yup, remove that turbo heat shield and throw it away. I mean, why would you want to protect your a/c line, right above the turbo, from heat?
I never said I cared about A/C!
