Je me souviens avoir découvert Josho début des années 2000, je m'étais pris une grosse claque, je l'ai toujours écouté depuis malgré les critiques des puristes qui lui reprochaient une technique trop présente au détriment du feeling et des émotions... ben je crois qu'aujourd'hui le gars a plus rien à prouver, pour moi il est dessus de la mêlée, il survole carrément le game. Lange habe ich mich gefragt, warum ich so auf Solos von Lyle Mays abfuhr, bis mir auffiel, dass er seinen musikalischen Gedanken entwickelte, ohne je abzusetzen. Er entwickelte einen Gedanken aus dem anderen, so dass sich ein ununterbrochen vorwärts entwickelnder Fluss entwickelt. Genau diese - ziemlich seltene Qualität haben Bireli und Joscho, wo bei Bireli eine einzigartige Art hat, auf der Gitarre „orchestral“ zu denken (wie hier, wo er zwischen Sololinie und percussivem Riff in seinem Solo hin- und herwechselt - da muss ich immer an sein Stella by Starlight in Vienne auf RUclips denken). Und Joscho entwickelt seine Soli aus einer Art Kernel heraus, dessen Elemente er immer weiter kombiniert und immer überraschende Wendungen einbaut. Beide schaffen damit so etwas wie musikalische Gedanken sichtbar zu machen. Und wie immer gilt dabei, was Mozart sagte: „man kennt nicht, dass es schwer ist“ - soll heißen: man muss absoluter Meister sein, es so hinzubringen, dass wie eine soft breeze klingt. Bravo!!!

Recently I have seen not only an exceptional execution but a maturity in the guitar solos that transmits, and impresses ! It is truly one of the best guitar players today!
