That has got to be one of the greatest bass solos I've ever heard. To me improvisation is about telling a story, and that bass solo is an epic story. Every note is connected to the next. It's so memorable that I can hum most of the solo from memory.

I have lived through the 60's, 70's, 80's and so on. I have been a musician since the 70's. I know music, and in my humble opinion, and I do write this with humility, Joscho may be the best guitarist ever to walk the earth.....so far. Thank you sir for sharing your talent with me. Blessings~
Steve he is my favourite at this moment. Adrien Moignard is amazing to. But the best of this kind of playing for shear mastery I would pick Jimmy Rosenberg. But for those that have lived for technical brilliance Lenny Breau was just fingerpicking jaw dropping.

I agree, cuz this gentleman's finesse and vibrance annnnnd Gentle dabbling with the most complicated of moments in his pieces - hits like so many kinds of punches, im knocked out by the end of almost every one of his arrangements :) Huge respect for your mastery and humility, Mr. Joscho.
dear Steve, i totally agree with you, never has any classical or modern or flamenco guitarist come even close to his creativity, his variety, speed, his immaculate execution and his clean solos, both hands are best ever on this instrument, what an immense pleasure to have the ability to listen and enjoy Josho

And for a person who hasn't quite gotten the joy of all of jazz yet, this gentleman's riffs are easy for the beginner/simple heart to follow and feeeeeel haha :) And an amazingly professional bunch of musicians jamming with him, pure joy, gentlemen!
