Thank you for the New Video! I think this mini-series about boats is my favorite one.
In your defense, the Royal Navy comes an extremely close second.
I really hope that you guys liked my submission and that it made sense to you. Thank you very much for this brand new episode. I just love your style of storytelling and artwork.
This nautical mystery series has been amazing thanks team love it!
@@jmferr2011 Umm, no. Historically speaking, the US Navy comes a close second to the Royal Navy. She ruled the seas for 200 years, the US barely has 75 under its belt 😉
I’m currently serving on the USS Michael Monsoor and i can tell y’all at night after taps while at sea is a very creepy place to be. The lights are a dim red Theres barely anyone around (because most are asleep or on watch) and a ship at sea under power makes a lot of odd and creepy sounds and noises
The army is worse when they make you sleep in the woods and around graveyards and sometimes around old battlefields. I heard and seen so much shit
James Harris at least if shit hits the fan you have somewhere to go we’re stuck on this metal box in the ocean. We take a hit and lose power you’re in a dark cold metal room filling with water faster than you can get out
@@Mrsmirfinstien oh that's fucking horrible, I'd lose my shit!
It’s a stupid question but I’m just curious, what would happen if your ship encountered Godzilla? Would General Quarters be sounded throughout the ship or would the CO tell the helmsman to quietly get the ship as far as fuck away as possible?
How long do you usually stay on the sea? Weeks, months?
I had a job at a Platform here in Brazil and I had stay 15 days in the sea, 15 days at home.
Pay was decent but couldn't do it after 2 months... I was going nuts.
This channel is the best of its kind
it’s the ONLY of it’s kind tbh
Thank you Pepe, very cool!

Hands down the best channel on RUclips. I’d seriously watch if you guys had a full hour in Netflix or even a show on TV

It could happen. I spotted Cold Case Detective on Tubi.
@@jeffreyskoritowski4114 I agree I'd rather watch this series on youtube as well.
And I'd rather have RUclips than Netflix any day
I get what you mean, but Netflix would probably ruin it to be honest.
one thing I really appreciate about this channel, is that whenever you guys cover a military related incident, you give the utmost respect to those who served. thank you for doing so
Yeah but that bit at the end about "safeguarding global security" was a bit much I think, I'm no hater of the US DOD but it does all things in the interest of American maritime global hegemony, and that's a good thing for them, just leave it at that, they're not 'The Avengers' or sumthin..
Veldtian don't hate on the U.S. cause the rest of the world depends on us. Relax man. We will protect you.
“Hey so we got this one ethereal horror haunting our ship, what should we call it?”
“How about George?”
“Brilliant!”
They could’ve just named it the USS Ethereal Horror and played on it in battles lol 😆
Damn, why does every incident with a jet during Vietnam involve John McCain in some way or another?
He was subpar at it when he first started but he did get better as the war dragged on.
The truth is Wet Start Johnny killed them boys showboating in a jet and only reason he got out of it was his daddy was General, on top of colluding with the enemy when he got shot down to boot, That's why the Vietnam veterans hate the ground he walked on
I would not want to be a plane anywhere NEAR him.
@@t8r507 *Admiral
@@t8r507 That what I heard also, he did a Wet Start and it contributed to the damage and death on the Forestal. His father the Admiral and the Captain had him transferred of the ship within days because they feared he would be killed. Also I heard about him colluding and breaking especially after they found out who his father was. Remember he had a broken arm and stab wound from them going after him in the Lake in the middle of the city when he parachuted out.
Something tells me it wouldn't have taken to much bodily pressure to make him talk.
Course the navy wont admit to it, what kind of Sailor would want to be told "Hey youre on this ship for 6 months, by the way the ghosts of 134 dead sailors will be bunking with you"
Underrated comment
I'd hate to tell ya buddy, but you'd be surprised
Every ship has its ghosts. You can probably chuck it up to being tired, but you head adnormal sounds. I remember hearing the sound of someone walking on the upper level of an engine room while taking readings alone in the space.
And 6 are gay ! 🤣🤣🤣
@@mountainholler290 it's the navy. There's a lot more than just 6 queers on that ship. I guarantee it.

I know this may sound nuts, but there has always been something about Sunday afternoons which depresses the crud out of me. Not anymore. I usually have a Bedtime Stories upload to look forward to.
Proud member of the I Hate Sundays club here too.
Its your job..or hard truths responsibility's of your life that Sunday reminds you society is at your doorstep again telling you when and what to do with every second of your life..
@@kylekissack4633 I'm far too old for that kind of thinking. Besides, I like my job and strangely enough, I enjoy Mondays. Things feel fresh on Monday mornings. I've always been like this - since I was a kid. I'll bet it was some kind of forgotten childhood drama which occurred on a Sunday afternoon that I've forgotten.
Same here. I love this youtube channel.
@@francisdrake6622 I always found Sundays depressing because of school. I'd never do my homework until the last possible second, so Sunday nights were always interminable. Even when I started work and enjoyed the job I was doing, I still hated Sundays because it had somehow become ingrained in my psyche. Now, of course, I look forward to them purely for the fun of releasing a new video.
Great video.
I served onboard the Forrestal from 1985-1987 with VF-11 (F-14 squadron). I heard many ghost stories while onboard that have been passed down since the time of the fire. Never saw a ghost myself, but I knew a few sailors who claimed to have. You actually got the facts right about the fire as well.
Keep up the good work!
I was with VA-176 for I.O. 88' and Med 89' - 90' aboard the Fid. Filipino workers in the aft galley hated going down the one hole for supplies. Said it was haunted.
I was there at the same time. FWD pump room was where NOBODY wanted to go. I was in VS 28.
The photos of the UFO from the second story are some of the best images I've seen, how are they not more well known?
My thoughts exactly! I’d never heard of that story till now!
Yeah I was just wondering that exact thing.
What your actually seeing is the USS Trepang taking part in early US ballistic missile trials. What appears to look like a USO/UFO is actually the capsule of a missile. If you saw all the leaked photos you'll see the supposed USO/UFO having the exact shape of a missile being launched from a submarine. It's more convenient for the US government to have people believe its a USO/UFO then say they were doing missile tests.
@@sirxavior1583 yep. Actually they have full of picture. From risen from water surface into air. Actually is kinda like blimp.
@@sirxavior1583 That's honestly what I think a lot of supposed UFO sightings are; secret weapons/aircraft tests. Letting people believe in aliens is perfect for hiding advanced technology.
As a former Navy guy, I just want to say thank you for this video. I love all of your videos.

Oh don't mind me, just scratching another outdoor healthy hobby off the list thanks to this channel.
I live in the woods. Trust me, even if you've lived in them for your entire life (as I have), they never get less creepy. Always seems like something's watching you. Then you get small animals scurrying around and rustling leaves that sound like some creature is stalking you. Even if you completely remove paranormal/supernatural from the equation, there's still plenty of animals in them that can kill you before you even realize what's happened.
@@randomlyentertaining8287 You get good WiFi in them woods, huh?
After watching this channel, dose 'going to the woods' seem like a really good idea that's 'healthy'?
Yes! I was just in the mood for some more ocean spooks! Always love hearing about the USS Stein and wondering what clawed it
I think you need to do a multi-part series on mysteries regarding war. Sure, you’ve done several on the nazis but what about ones from World War I, the Napoleonic Wars, the American Civil War and Revolutionary War, etc? You have an extensive list filled with fascinating mysteries from foo fighters to Washington’s encounters at Valley Forge. I would love to hear your take on some of these mysteries.
Great idea 👍.

The dead were moved to the storage units in the galley aboard the USS Forrestal, if some of them were dying when moved (those doing so knowing they were going to die/beyond help) it would explain the banging and screams, they didn't know they were dead and their spirits were desperately trying to escape. I hope they were able to when the ship was broken up
The creature that attacked the USS Stein could have been a colossal squid, they have bigger hooks on their tentacles than an architeuthis but even if it was, the size of the hooks suggests a specimen far bigger than the biggest colossal squid known to science, far, far bigger
To put it perspective, blue whale, the largest organism ever, is usually only a 100 feet while this one would be 150!

I was having a lousy week but then I saw your notification. Thanks man for making it all worth it. Hope you and everyone else enjoying this stay safe
When I was on the Forrestal, I never saw anything, but, while I was my squadron DCPO (damage control petty officer) I had to do ‘light leak’ checks in our assigned compartments. This was to ensure there were no holes in the bulkheads/walls. Our largest berthing compartment was o the O3 level right under the arresting gear. When I did the inspection, with all the lights off, about halfway through, I got the overwhelming feeling that I was being watched. I mentioned this to some of my ship’s company personnel that were buddies of mine. They asked me which compartment it was and I gave them the compartment number and they informed me that a lot of personnel from VF 11 had died in there. That was when I started hearing all the stories about certain areas of the ship to avoid.

@@cdswan8943 I had relatives who were in the Navy around the same time McCain was in, not sure if they served on the same vessel as he did, but would believe the cover up. I don't know why but the last part about the carrier creeped me out. I felt something off about that part of the video. Almost like.... It knew, ya know??
the bewildering part for me is, why are the ghosts in the refrigerator? why not on deck where they died? (even after the bodies were taken from the ship)
imagine the crewmen are declared dead. but they are actually not. they wake up in the refrigerator, unable to move. nobody notticed, so they died down there.
that would explain the banging at the door of the refrigerator. the spirit still desperatly tried to get out of there.
