You made a mistake in the description of the car. The front wheel drive has a 0 to 60 time in the 7.7 seconds while the all wheel drive is 5.8 seconds per car and driver. Especially for a new EV with good range and 150kW charging. I'd say it's a killer combination. I just hope they make enough of these to meet the demand. Because the demand will be strong. Is the Model 3 still a compelling offering? Absolutely. Probably a better value, especially if you do a lot of road trips. But the Equinox EV will be a great deal for many people.

27 is the wrong information. Sorry, but the one after tax break at that price range will be the LT1 and it wouldn't have the 319 mile of range, it will have 270 approx range
CCS instead of NACS = FAIL
The one LT version of this car is going to be about $33,000 MSRP, you deduct the 7500 that your government is giving you and there are further incentives for first responders, Costco members, etc. they give you even further discounts. A Costco member actually gets $1000 additional off for example so you can actually buy this car cheaper than $27,000
I want Chevy to succeed. They finally have a vehicle that they can test the market and learn from. I have some concerns before I jump in. Can they get the software right? Can they eventually make a profit? Will their dealerships support them? I would wait a while to see how this shakes out.
Why care if they profit, it's a huge company
@@rp9674 If they are losing money then management and investors get concerned and start to pull back.
If you don't pay for super cruise, what do you get for driver assistance??
gm Drunk Cruise doesn't even work.
Basic cruise control.
That will be our next business lease EV!
Thank You Everybody for All that you are doing for our Planet Earth....
Peace.. Shalom.. Salam.. Namaste
🙏🏻 😊 ✌ ☮ ❤ 🕊
I would love for you to compare the Equinox EV with the Cadillac Optiq when it's available.
That range is AWESOME !!!
Thanks. Impressive, however for my 1st EV I wouldn't consider anything other than a Tesla, due to 20 years of experience and a commitment to excellence.
Great dress! I love these videos. ❤
Why are you saying it's 27k? Online the cheapest model is $41,900
1LT available in Q3 has the lower starting price. Mentioned in video. Higher trims available first.
@@ItsKimJava - Alleged .
The maybe made 1LT will look so cheap you'll realize why it's 35k.
*Well done!* Didn't think GM had it in them.
Enjoyed the brief Grosse Pointe/Lakeshore Excursion!
You made a mistake in the description of the car. The front wheel drive has a 0 to 60 time in the 7.7 seconds while the all wheel drive is 5.8 seconds per car and driver. You quoted the FWD at 5.8 seconds. Per other reviewers the AWD has 285 mile range not 319 which is the FWD. Your quote was 5.8 second FWD and 319 mile range. This car doesn't exist.
And the gas-powered Equinox has a 0-60 time of 8.9 seconds.
who cares if it was below 2 seconds. how often would u use it? barely
I just got the 2LT model for $34k out the door. That includes taxes
Looks good. Hope they can produce them at scale. First few years they will probably be loosing money at this price point. Wish it was RWD for base trim.
The EQ LT and the Volvo EX30 are on my short list.
short LIFE span then. RIP .
❤😊 yeah it looks quite good sad not in the UK 😊
Imagine that...a display in FRONT of the driver.....!! Great job Chevy.
You can not buy this car for $27,500 ! Lies ! I searched and it's $40,000 and up ....!!
Clean the wax from your ears please. He said the 1LT coming out later in the year will be $35,000. And that's $27.5k with tax credit.
Seems like a pretty good deal to me, for a new car.
@@davidmenasco5743 With demand comes huge dealer markups.
Sounds interesting. Would be great if you could get it for a week or two to more thoroughly share your experience with the s/w, charging, comfort of the seat.
Is there a native navigation system and if so how does it compare to Apple Car Play or Android Auto?
Is this Belle Isle, with Canada in the background?
Yes!
Well ...hello from across the river hahahhaha @ItsKimJava
If you guys are ever in the Detroit area I'd love to give you a historical tour from an automotive perspective 😊
If they offer a low trim is questionable. But people will stretch to get a tesla up to 8k more before they consider this.
This needs to be Mid trim 15k cheaper
What's with GM and charge speed? Its a new car, why isn't it better.
does this mean the bolts will be at a lower price point?
I’d love for this to push Tesla to a cheaper vehicle. This is great for people who are loyal to Chevy, I guess.
Nice to see you promoting all EVs!
I’d think long time Chevy owners could consider this EV model. Still think all EVs are overpriced!
yea, ev's will get cheaper and cheaper, ultimately they are cheaper than ICE, but ICE is optimized to the brim for a century.
it's really just the manufacturing
Are they still using LG Chem for batteries? That would make me nervous.
Another great early review Kim and PJ! I know you didnt get the car very long, but did Chevy show you the MyChevy app or let you use it? In future reviews, that would be a cool thing to include. As an owner of both a Chevy Bolt and Tesla MY, I can tell you that the Chevy App is terrible. I didnt think it would be a big deal, but it's amazing how much better the Tesla app makes the EV car ownership experience. Maybe not important to everybody or a make-or-break deal, but I will now look for that on any future EV purchase.
(Also, Chevy was charging me $30 a month for all the app "features" so I just stopped using it.)
$42,000. Not $35,000 is no way can get $27,500 after tax credit
That’s the 2lt. The 1lt is something like 35k before the 7500 tax credit. It’s not out yet.
Great review. At $27k i would consider it.
These are growing on me but I still think model Y is a better car. I’ll be driving both next year and see what I end up with
Actually looks like a pretty solid vehicle
5.9 seconds is with AWD, 8 seconds for the FWd
The trim in AWD also costs 50k and doesn't have 300 mi range
When are the incentives going to be applied at purchase?
At delivery after Jan. 1, 2024.
2024
the fact GM managed to make an all around competitive EV at competitive price vs other cars in same category.
GM worked harder than meets the eye.
i rather get this than Tesla
