I don’t care what anyone thinks, Kim Java and Rich Rebuilds are the only two channels that I would go to for unbiased content. Both of you guys say it like it is, by pointing out facts rather than ending their point of view with “but Tesla is better”. I don’t normally sit down to watch talk shows, but this was very interesting. Thank you both for your time and your input.

The Bolt is my favorite daily driver. The Corvette is great occasionally and the truck is good for truck things. So, yeah there are some of us out there like you, Rich, which is cars first and EV/ICE is a non issue.

The sound of a gas engine is an acquired taste. For many people who enjoy silence, it is like trying to explain the beauty of the taste of a peni$. I am sure there is a group of women and certain men that can appreciate the beauty and get excited about the size. But for others, it really seems like something that I don’t want to get an acquired appreciation for.

I believe Rich has a couple auto shops that specialize in EV service, capturing the market for those early adopters whose warranties ran out and were looking for a more affordable and convenient alternative to those far and few authorized repair centers. Not a Tesla shop but 90% Ev's are Tesla's.

Had a similar situation with Tesla recently. I want to upgrade my 2021 Model Y suspension to the newer, better design for a softer ride. Asked my local Tesla Service center about this last month. I didn't get a response that it wasn't possible, I was told "we aren't offering that as an option at this time". UM, WTF Tesla. I am willing to throw money at you. Why would you NOT want to take on my request and make some more profit. As a shareholder, I am just shaking my head. So, I'll be going to a 3rd party and giving THEM my money I guess.

Hybrid reigns supreme for me. I have a Prius that has close to 180k miles on it and have had it for 12 years. I've only changed the 12volt battery and brakes, once! It still drives good and with California gas prices, I'm still good with what I pay. I DO have a Tesla but it's not good for long distance commutes on a daily basis. And, I'm definitely not saving money if I have to charge every other day. I would like to try a plug in hybrid to see how that goes. I love my Tesla, but the range isn't there yet.

I like to make long trips occasionally, sometimes driving through the night, and would feel more comfortable about taking a nap at some of the chargers I've stopped at if I had an exit tactic available that didn’t require I stay alert while charging. Why would somebody buy a Tesla when they’re falling apart quality control is absolutely the worst. I’ve ever seen in an American car. Once the warranty expires, they could care less about you if you have problems.

Guess what the cheapest car to maintain is?…in both 1-5 year and also 5-10 year periods.

I’ve been hopeful for a RUclips video comparing towing range at different speeds.
Mileage decreases due to towing are more influenced by increased speed. This not a linear increase in energy needed to go faster but more akin to exponential increase.
So by going 10-15% faster you may go through your battery 30-50% faster. In real world terms you may be able to skip every other SC on the highway if you go 60 instead of 70.
There are times when going faster makes sense like there’s no way you’re going to be able to skip and showing up lower translates to a faster charge rate - Kyle Conner style…
In general it would be good NEW information for the community to know the range of even one truck towing at 50, 60, 70, 80mph… it’s tedious but would be eye opening and explain a lot of people’s disappointment with towing range.
