Overture on the notes B-A-C-H - on sketches by L.v.Beethoven (1822-25)

- In the years roughly around the composition of the 9th symphony Beethoven wrote several sketches on the notes B-A-C-H for an orchestral overture ("H" here the German letter for the note "B" ). On the request of Armando Orlandi from www.lvbeethoven.it I tried to develop these (together with own themes) with greatest pleasure and fascination to an overture (as I have done it with several other unfinished works by Beethoven before, see my YT channel).
In the score I marked those notes which are taken from these Beethoven sketches with yellow (plus m. 5, 17-19 and 45, which I missed to mark). Some of the facsimili of the sketches in JPEG are included in the score in the video.
I used up to 10 different variations of these fascinating 4 B-A-C-H notes.

Absolutely fantastic! Ich gratuliere recht herzlich!! It couldn't be more Beethoven than this: style, writing, orchestral sound, dynamics, rhythmic variation, contrasts and colorful orchestral setting. Really amazing, Gerd. The only flaw in this masterpiece is the sound of the strings (they sound a little thin and unnatural at times). A real orchestra would make it complete and serve your efforts well. I hope you can ever realize this to honor Beethoven. Your visualization is a great help and gives us insight in your construction and in Beethoven's concept. So well done.

I truly admire your impressive and consistent works :) Do you have any plans to perform them with musicians?
@@composerpark I would love to get them performed but I find it very difficult to find an orchestra or conductor, who is willing to do that. The only work I got performed is a string quartet based on Beethovens very last project, a string quintet in C major.
