brotherhood is basically as a badassery spectacle simulator and its combat is most enjoyable if treated as such. brotherhood has the best and most satisfying k^ll animations, the combat feels so fun to me purely for the badass k^llmoves. i just wish this game had the hookblade from ACR , it is satisfying to climb in a manner that triggers the hookblade animation making the climbing into almost a constant minigame while a moving also, the combat has some weird hidden mechanics too(example: once u block 2nd combo attack of an enemy and press attack button ezio will do a critical hit sending them staggering and vulnerable to an insta-k^ll etc.). sure the combat is braindead easy that allows button mashing, but mashing button itself is a joykiller for me that hinders my enjoyment if i do it so i just did self-restrictions (eg- only using counterk^lls in 1v1, never engaging more than 1v2 , doing combok^lls on an enemy only if the others were visibly injured after a crit etc). i try to simulate fight like this and end up enjoying it. i am not even hardcore AC fan at all however, RIP(*in italian)
Unfortunate that you can no longer play the multiplayer mode. I adored the multiplayer in Brotherhood and Revelations. Nothing was better than using poison on your target right before they stun you and then watching them fall over as you get max stealth points. Or stunning your pursuer repeatedly, taking out your target, then getting your former pursuer as your new target while he is still stunned confused as to why you are still standing over him waiting for him to stand up, at which point POISON.
I started with ac1 and played every one through to black flag when they came out. Brotherhood had such a massive amount of hype prior to release, and I remember playing it and feeling so satisfied. I loved the climbing and parkour, felt the pain when Cesare k^lled ezios uncle after playing the whole of ac2 with him. The combat may be spam-y, but it was so satisfying to get a stealth k^ll, going into multik^ll then hitting a smoke bomb and peacing out and getting away. I put so many hours into this game in single player alone. Multi-player was so much fun, I genuinely miss it. I wish ubisoft would go back to this style of assassins creed, but as of now, requiescat in pace ubisoft
My favourite memory of this game was sending 2 fresh assassin recruits on a 1% chance of success difficult mission and them both coming back near enough max level
I kind of wish in later games when the assassin recruits came back from missions, you could find them at the Bureau and they would tell you stories about their adventures.@@MidnightKingL
One aspect to Ezio’s character that’s interesting is his relationship with his sister. The years of II he spent being an Assassin, Claudia was left behind at the family home doing bookkeeping. This time she’s not going to let Ezio sideline her, and proves she can hold her own as well as being an ally by being a source of information. She challenges Ezio’s view of her, part of his maturation being him trusting her more and not trying to shelter her. He still beats up Duccio for how Duccio describes her, but what else are big brothers for?
@@Engille967 The combat is supposed to be enjoying and satisfying. If you're a masochist then these games aren't for you, i recommend SoulsBorne games.
My fav was Revelations. All of the improvements Ezio made throughout his run and a very emotional sendoff, while also using a every underrated and underused protagonist in Altair. The multiplayer was also the best, sad they shut down the servers. Requiescat in pace Ezio 🕊
The most satisfying part of the ezio series for me is casually walking past a guard, disarming them, dropping their weapon and randomly having them run away in fear. The many tiny details that show Ezio's mastery is amazing.
I have been re-playing a lot of AC this year. Starting with the Ezio Collection, I am now in Black Flag. Brotherhood is, without a doubt, still my favorite in the series, and even one of my favorite games period. Also, 3 was WAY better than I remembered.
@@stratosphere2323 I didn't hate it, and to be fair I'm not sure in what headspace I was back then, but I clearly remember just not thinking that much about it. Certainly not as much as the ones in the Ezio trilogy. But now replaying it with the remaster, it REALLY clicked with me.
@@bryanortega7469 I remember playing all the games in order from AC 1 to revelations, and I absolutely adored those games, but even as a younger boy I connected with 3 so much for some reason. I honestly think people sleep on Connor as a character way too much as I personally thought even as a kid that he was a stoic, no nonsense, serious character that was quite a refresher. Every word he said was not wasted breath, and while he didn’t say much I found what he did say was important, and wasn’t just exposition or filler dialogue. And goddamn the gameplay was just brilliant, I really really think Ubisoft brought their A game when it came to both story and gameplay for 3. And this is even without mentioning haytham who is arguably one of the coolest characters in AC. An entire origins story for haytham honestly would’ve been great imo
Every time I hear Ezio’s Family it brings back wonderful memories. AC2 is my favorite, but Brotherhood will always hold a special place in my heart. I can’t believe you’re almost done covering the entire series. Any ideas for what series you’ll cover next?
but to say that it was the golden age of games, having already been going through it we already experienced some of the games that were from that time frame. How does it change that it has already happen and we can't live in the past?
I loved Brotherhood. Similar to what would come with Black Flag, it built upon what the previous entry did. Brotherhood was just a fun game, light story, and it gave players so many different types of missions to play. Not my 1, but I can easily see why anyone would rank this as their favorite.
I played all the Ezio trilogy recently and got to play AC2 & AC Revelations for the first time and honestly I like AC2 almost as much as AC brotherhood, but brotherhoods my all time fav as it was also my first AC
Same i still remember playing it as a dumb little 10 year old and not knowing where i was, what i was doing, or what was happening but still loving every single second.
One thing that makes me realize how good this game is what you said about it's a playground game, but not just a simple playground game like its sequels trying to stretch. All of Brotherhood's side missions actually mattered to the story like in AC1. They repurposed everything from AC2 that sometimes feels disjointed then straighten them up. You do contracts to pick off Cesare's court, you do courtesans to eliminate political allies, you do thieves to eliminate bandits employed by Borgia, Romulus lairs to uncover Vatican conspiracy, and you do towers and training your assassins to liberate Roma It's engaging because when the game hook you into the story and then actually recognize the story in every parts of the game, you are invested since it mattered and not something to waste your time.
16:40 The online brotherhood is very special for me. I used to play it occasionally but one night, a friend came to my house and it was my first drunk night as a teen, playing online for the whole night, and realized how fun the online was. Those images brings a lot of memories from an other time
I didn't ever play this series, affording a good computer or a Playstation was way beyond my means. Thanks to the PS Plus subscription now and a used PS4 that I can now afford as an adult, I can definitely say I missed out during the Ezio days, but this regret of missing out I can now lay to rest.
The modern day really works for this game. Desmond does his first proper Leap of Faith and you need to do a parkour section before getting into the meat of the Animus simulation. The banter between Desmond and Lucy is a lot of fun, like Lucy pointing out how pudgy he’s gotten from the time spent under the Animus or helping each other go through the tunnels. Being able to explore Monteriggioni in the present and find objects linked to how the town was in II. Setting up in the vault where the Master Assassin statues are located, interacting with the one for Altaïr triggering a funny cutscene. The climax once more uses exploring the same environment in two time periods, traversing the interior of the Colosseum to access the Isu vault where once more you get to do parkour to get to the Apple stored there (leading to a shocker of an ending where Juno compels Desmond to kill Lucy with a command prompt for the player to do so, cue credits). Final note, it’s the last game with this character model for Desmond. Starting Revelations and seeing the revised character model is an experience.
My favorite part of Brotherhood and Black Flag combat was fighting bare handed and disarming enemies over and over and just confusing them before killing them with their own swords
Ah man, I remember how much I hated Brotherhood back then solely because I witnessed the Armor of Altair, which to this day I'll never forget how hard I worked for to unlock in Assassin's Creed 2, get buried in rubble in the opening part because Ezio decided to do his "whoring" the night before lol. I was 12 during this time and my argument was "Fuck you Ezio, If you DIDN'T take off your clothes the night before, we would've had SOMETHING to start with." I never truly realized back then how hooked I am to Ezio as a character and how much fun it was to follow him from birth to death. Best gaming years of my life.
AC games in cities have that feeling of intimacy once you start learning their layout. When I first played AC Brotherhood (I was like 12? 13?) and arrived at Rome I was confused and kinda intimidated by the size, but as I kept playing and grew accustomed to the city and learned to navigate certain parts by eye instead of the minimap... that feeling is unmatched by any modern AC to date.
Fantastic insight! Absolutely adored Brotherhood back in the day, for similar reasons - the multiplayer especially, as frustrating as it could be, was exhilarating. That Plague Doctor character is still one of the most badass character designs, to come out of AC.
My friend and I loved the multiplayer in Brotherhood. So much, we'd tolerate half-hour long matchmaking times. I would love to continue to play it still. I would buy it if Ubisoft just put out a standalone version of that, if they cleaned up the matchmaking. I dabbled in the MP with the subsequent games, but none of them really did it as well-- even Revelations.
There's a Discord Server where you can find people interested in playing AC MP matches. But to me it's just not the same. Most of these people play the game in such an optimal way. I miss those chaotic games from back in the days.
Love seeing you revisit these games. I'm doing the same, just hit credits on AC3 today and I appreciate it way more now than back in the day. It just feels right to be wearing a hood, blending in crowds, fighting Templars, running around in the modern day, all of it.
This is definitely my favorite one out of the entire series. It was my first assassin's creed game and I also live in Rome so yeah. So many side missions and activities as well, there's always something to do to keep you engaged
There are so many things I miss from this era, but the tomb missions were the best. Biggest mistake Ubisoft made not continuing them after the Ezio trilogy
I literally just finished the story of brotherhood yesterday, and it just reminded me of why it's not only my personal favourite assassins creed, by why the ezio trilogy is the best out the whole franchise.
Never bothered with them at the time but playing AC2 on ps+ Very surprised at the standard of quality for the time. Despite obvious limitations I’m enjoying it as much as anything new I’ve played in a while. Look forward to getting to brotherhood and beyond eventually.
I had the literal same exact experience with this game. It will always hold a special place in my heart as my first game that I really fell in love with that I played entirely on my own. There’s just something about it that really grabbed a hold of me like it did to you. Thanks for putting all of those feelings that I had into words lol, great video!
#6 The multiplayer was so cool ❤ Loved the creative characters and exciting takedowns, especially the theatrical ones like the Hellequin and Harlequin, the Courtesan, the doctor, the barber... It was the first time the series allowed to us play characters that weren't archetypal assassins like their two leads at the time. Personally it made me really excited to have more feminine presenting leads, like Evie Frye, as I relate to them more. This game really had so much to offer.
I’ve been replaying AC series. Haven’t gotten to Brotherhood yet but I remember loving it. The only thing I remember not liking when I first played was when the Villa was destroyed.
@@haytham7191 not saying it’s bad just all the time spending making the Villa perfect made me hate the villains more. It was a great opening and motivation to fuck the Borgia up.
Bro i started replaying ac games too, currently on 1st one and it really surprised me how good environment feels and how good the combat is even in 1st one.
This was by far my favorite AC game. Everything about it was a huge progression from 2. I had AC fatigue mid way through revelations but something sparked in me and I can't stop consuming videos about the games. Just re bought Unity after not getting past sequence 2 and am in love with it. Can't wait to get back into the Ezio collection . Your videos have brought back a love for something I had lost. Thank you
Glad you included the multiplayer! The multiplayer in this game was fantastic and ahead of its time in terms of its concept. I wish this genre of multiplayer still existed.
My first Assassin creed game was brotherhood and it was so confusing because imagine jumping from POP to AC its just weird because they both kinda have the same game mechanics and the PVP is so on point with the characters having such good physics is just amazing i wanted to know more so I started from the beginning the Assassins creed where Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad had me fall in love with the vast story line and the start of great journey and then in the second game Etsio was so consumed with rage and underdeveloped i almost thought is this really AC-brotherhood etsio? Over all its just beautiful as ive experienced the first 3 games completely and in love.
I love Ezio so much it makes me sad. Sometimes I daydream or brainstorm the possibilities of another Ezio game, wondering if it’s even possible, & I always come to the same conclusion. Ezio is gone & I just need to get over it.
I think over the years, I see AC:B as a great base for the game to become better. You have the dens/houses for the groups that support you (thieves, courtesans, mercenaries), great city map, progression system to build your brotherhood, tombs/catacombs. All of those were great and just needed things to improve them. I wish you can change clothes of your recruits and yourself to better blend in. Have recruits have different skill sets to customize and combine. Actually see improvement on buildings you upgrade like the villa in AC 2. Smoother parkour like in Unity. Also combat difficulty can be improved, it just got easy fast. It’s a great game that leaves me wanting more and it seemed the graphical tech at the time of its release wasn’t enough and it needs a proper remake from the ground up
I remember back in the day on my ps3 I would just sit down for like 2 hours and simply ride the horse through rome and sometimes get off and start massacring templars. It was so satisfying once you got down the rhythm of the combat you can just slice through those entire groups of templars like nothing and it's not *just* R2 and square. Sure it's part of it but you gotta switch it up and it's so fucking smooth. And don't even get me to talk about the multiplayer. It's honestly sooooo fucking underrated. It's easily one of the best multiplayers of any game period. Just no one knows about it. It's so much fun!!!
For me it is also the best AC ever, and for similar reasons. I also enjoyed how you could summon up to 6 assassin's to help you fighting, very effective. Also the city itself, and how you could restore all the shops etc. By the end of the game the city just felt different, better, and that was thanks to us, players. I find it highly rewarding.
I played both this year again, and hell yeah they're both the best, I can't put on over the other. AC2 story is so consistant and gets real motivating and emotional, AC3 has some great additions, I think they complete each other, I just consider them one game.
Because of your Origins video I bought Assassin's Creed Origins and just finished it, thank you for an epic experience that I would not have had without your videos talking me into getting it
Cant lie the assassins creed 2 is the reason I started gaming properly then I see brotherhood and I lost my shit as a kid then revelations man Playing them all as a kid was great I understood them all but they didn’t resonate with me as well as it does now story wise.. hearing the theme tune gets me everytime 😢
And also, the best part of these old ac games is the medicine, you don’t have to struggle to dodge everything just so your health won’t go down, I hate the fact that they removed it in Ac3 until now, we all struggle to dodge every attack
The game where I felt most like a Master Assassin. Exactly. There's a song on its OST with that title too. And I can agree on the modern day part. Say what you will, but the modern part tied the AC games together. Without that, there's no frainchise. And thanks for mentioning the multiplayer. I haven't played anything like that multiplayer ever since, it was so great. I'm not into MP anyway, I'm all about the good story, and the campaign taking me on a ride. But this AC multiplayer, I just loved. Wish they'd bring it back. Played it a lot in Revelations too. Not after that, another game got my attention (SWTOR), but I still think back fondly of it. PS: it's not a wonder why in all other AC games where you get a Legacy suit, the one you get from Ezio era is the Brotherhood assassin suit.
The thing I loved about this was the assassins. Calling them..training them..being the master assassin. It was all a game like this should be. As I replayed it, I saw the other things that wete awesome about it. Great game overall
Something I wish you had to time to cover were the unlocks! If you manage to get 100% sync in chapter 8 you unlock a Desmond skin so your fantasy of a 21st century man running around in 15th century Roam can come true! Also the Romulus armor you get for doing all the layers looks fire and I'm not letting anyone convince me otherwise
Brotherhood was the first AC game I played back when it was a new game and I don’t think I could have had a better introduction to the franchise.. I guess it’s time to revisit this trilogy after many years!
The combat in the ezio trilogy has amazing mechanics and is full of details and different approaches to killing an enemy BUT i never in brotherhood felt the need to dodge or grab or use any of the mechanics in the game The game should make it so it forces you to use these mechanics maybe make an enemy that you can’t counter or make an enemy that wears heavy armor that only a blade to the neck can kill him so you can’t kill him with a sword only a hidden blade Or make an enemy that you can’t counter you can only disarm him like the spear guy
Great video, jayvee. But one thing I might add is that AC brotherhood kinds fixes ac2 's story. What I meant to say that in AC2, Ezio through out the whole game is taught by his superiors to take revenge against Rodrigo borgia since he killed his father and bros. However, when he killed that religious guy in Florence out of mercy, he began to preach that revenge bad. It kinda irked me. But brotherhood solves that issue by providing some side missions involving Christina, which took before and during ac2 ( they unlock only if u renovate sites around Rome tho). Those missions imo give a proper context why Ezio thought revenge is bad cuz when he lost Christina he had no motivation to do so. I mean the main reason ezio wanted to take revenge was not only to avenge his father and bros death but also the life he had lost with Christina. Ik that Christina married someone else but she was his main motivation for revenge and when she died he understood that revenge is not going to revive Christina or his family back to life. This is why I alove brotherhood so much.
My favorite entry in AC games Great story, characters, narative, breat taking scenery, atmosphere music. There is nothing not to love about this game much love
I remember when I was a kid playing these games. I played assassins creed 2 and fell in love with it, I spent eons on it, even playing when I wasn’t supposed to be up with a earbud plugged into my shitty 12 inch box tv. Than brotherhood came out. I got so excited when I started out with basically all my old gear and like 50,000 florins. Everything felt so smooth and upgraded I was so content. Than boom, they tear down the whole fucking complex, I’m on that goddamn horse watching my shit get destroyed “double knife lost” type shit. I was legitimately hurt by that. I spent all of my assassins creed 2 days bringing that shit back to glory 🤦♂️ and Ubisoft was like “ya know how we should welcome them back… tear that shit down and get rid of all their armor and weapons… and the 50,000 florins they thought they would get. Fuck them” Afterwards I played the game and forgave them. Amazing game and worth the hit on my childhood psyche. I’m replaying it now and it seriously aged like fine wine. Anybody who’s here, go play the game.
I'm with you with everything you said in the video, I played AC 1 back in 2007 and never got the chance to play the rest, now i finished AC II 100% and now i'm in Brotherhood i'm even streaming them to let people know what they missed in Ezio's legendary story!
Ac 2 is very important to me since its the best ac game that also introduced me into the franchise, people nowadays don’t know how Ezio collection became a true masterpiece, ac games nowadays don’t even feel like an “assassin’s creed” game, just cuz its a 12 year old game, they’re gonna criticize it and call it a “trash” game without even knowing the actual game, the story, and combat
Ubisoft made a lot of stunning games including Assassin's Creed and now i'm worried about what she's gonna do with this "Infinity". It's the first time I do something like this, but now Ubi asks the fans what they want, so... I send them a Letter named: "A Letter From A Worried Assassin's Creed Fan" Here's what It says: Dear Ubisoft, I'm Filippo from Italy and I'm a huge fan of Assassin's Creed. If I've decided to write to you it's because I'm very worried about your intentions on your next (and already talked about) project: Assassin's Creed Infinity. If what I've read is true, the idea is great, but other things aren't. I'm no one to tell you what to do, and I also strongly believe that the fans and their demands have undermined your hard work on a stunning series like Assassin's Creed, but this time, I'm on their side. I haven't played Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla yet, but honestly the more videos I watch the less I want to play them... And that's one of the problems that plague old Assassin's Creed fans. It is enough to read the comments under any video of any gameplay to understand that fans want nothing more than an Assassin's Creed with the parkour and stealth of Unity or Syndicate, an "old style" combat like the first games, but more challenging, a "contained" game world like Brotherhood's one or Revelations, the speed of the animations of Assassin's Creed 3, 4, Rogue and at first the Cinematic aspect of the series, with cutscenes worthy of a film and no dialogue to choose from. These would be my wishes and those of many others and I hope that at least you want to consider them. But my biggest doubt about this Infinity is that this Infinity could one day be unexpectedly interrupted, due to the online. For example, GTA Online, one day, even if very far away, will have its servers shut down, and all player games will no longer exist. This is something no one would want to see in a game, especially an Assassin's Creed game. I sincerely hope that your intention is to give us a full game at launch and that over time it will add other small, significant and numerous games to it as some downloadable contents. It is a must to be able to play Assassin's Creed even without being connected to the internet. This would be the dream of many. I really hope you'll get some inspiration from what I wrote, I believe in you. I hope you are well too. Thank you very much for your attention. P.S. Please, don't forget the modern days. You might use this "Platform" to show us stories tell only in the comics, like AC Uprising. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ It's a long comment, I know. But If you agree with what I said, just tell the same thing to Ubisoft. Thanks.
People be complaining about counter-killing. But we all go back to the older ones because it felt amazing taking down a whole army and watching the amazing animations
This is all we want. As well as everything you mentioned in your most recent vid on mirage! Would love to see the “call assassins” option returned to mirage where the boys come to the rescue all dressed in assassin robes looking 💎
i swear I've been saying this for many years! The assassins recruit feature wad the aboslute best and I would love if it was brought back into these new gen AC games. I was disappointed you couldnt call in assassins as Bayek, and while Odyssey offered a similar feature as a skill tree ability, it couldve been much better. Most of all, I was hoping you could summon viking warriors to help back you up in valhalla but you couldnt and is forced to rely on a stupid wolf to maul enemies to death. Such a wasted opportunity man
I remember playing through Brotherhood for the first time, and getting to the Cesare fight. His goons had previously got me to very low health, and i had 1 medicine. I used it. Then the boss fight happened, and it was very very long. At the beginning I was caught off guard and taken down to a situation where if I was hit once, I'd die. I went in guns blazing, using everything I'd learned (still mostly counter-killing lol), and I TOOK CESARE DOWN WITHOUT GETTING HIT FOR 9/10 OF THE FIGHT I was so proud of that moment
I have high hopes of this kind of AC return again someday. With great stories and writing speech characters and growth together makes it more feel alive playing over and over again without hesitation or boring like AC Ezio trilogy
I didn't even realize I actually miss the Ezio trilogy. You're right. It epitomized the AC franchise. Recruiting new assassin's, training them, and opening new branches for them to be the head of.. I don't remember the last AC game that had that..
I thought that AC Origins did the compact city and the reactive people pretty well. The Alexandria city is pretty cool and your able to hide, and take out the bad guys around there sneakily.
When Desmond starts seeing ghosts in the cave...it never fails to be one of the best story moments for me. I feel like it really lets you see a huge struggle the villagers underwent in a fragmented way. They also don't go overboard with it either. I want more segments like that.
I wish we got more content with Altair. He was an absolute beast in his game and would’ve made an awesome sequel. He’s the pillar of the new creed and watching him travel in exile from the brotherhood before coming back to masyaf as an old man would be all I want to see from AC. The game takes place in the holy lands so why not have Altair move throughout the Middle East and hunt down templars on his own accord rather than for the brotherhood? Idk I think it would be cool. I prefer the more serious protagonist over a goofy sly one like Ezio, so maybe I’m just bias lol.
Glad to see Im not the only one that misses these games. AC used to be my go-to franchise. I was hooked from the very first time I learned of the original in development in a Game Informer magazine. They were all special in their own way but none of them hit quite like the Ezio trilogy did. The only other one that got close in my opinion was Black Flag. I haven't played a new one since Syndicate and haven't finished one since Unity.
I just played brotherhood and it I love it has become special in my heart it was my first time playing brotherhood and has become one of my favorite games of all time even against new more graphic games that’s how great this game is
One of the best games I have ever played. I have played more than 300 games now. But boy AC brotherhood and POP two thrones are the best 2 games I had ever played. So many memories
Bro Brotherhood is the ac that started me on the ac franchise i grew up on this amd its amzing to know people still play and view this game it makes my heart swell with happynes thank you so much heres a sub
I was lucky enough to play the Ezio saga for the first time this year. I absolutely loved it. Ezio might be my favourite videogame protagonist for quite a while
i love watching your videos dude, they are now part of my comfort playlist and every time i feel like shit i just pop on one of your "I played" vids. I wish ya the best man, keep being you!
ACB was the game that got my sister into action/adventure. She was all about Sims and we shared that but this was the game that was my thing that she enjoyed. The multiplayer was fantastic and if they brought it back I’m sure people would play. I think Unity had the chance to be like ACB and expand on it with better graphics and different types of multiplayer modes or at least 2: the hunt mode or the co-op team mode. Both were excellent and the game could have pushed back into what we loved.
I’ve just started replaying all games and 100% them and I’m on brotherhood rn and first thing that came up was this video 100% agree I love brotherhood and think it was best of the Desmond series
My favorites are Ezio Trilogy and AC Rogue, because Rogue took all good stuffs from Black Flag and put into a story totally unpredictable for me at the time. Was so shocking discovering that you are playing an Assassins Creed game, but with a templar. It's a hole new experience at storytelling.
7:35 no Jayvee, that IS on the game. Players will always use the option of least resistance, why would I do more than press counter to win if I can help it? a good combat system discourages spamming one simple move/button click by adding in variety or countering your own countering , even the arkham combat system is capable of doing that
It's not really the path of least resistance though, if you factor in that this method is just way slower than actively going for kills. Efficiency is key, and taking longer is a pretty big factor for being resistant in my book. Personal experience, but i have never seen a person that plays the game by literally doing only countering all the time. I only see people taking online about it as if that is the way most people play, which is just unlikely imo.
Back in those days i didnt have a pc of my own powerful enough to run the latest games, so i was frequent to a local internet club. I got so hyped for the multi-player and convinced the owner of the club to buy the game as so many people would play it (most of the software was pirated), but i saw only once someone else play it. Anyway i returned his investment with all the hours i've sunk into the game :D. Good days.
like this comment to say "requiescat in pace ubisoft" in a very thick and convincing italian accent 🪶

brotherhood has the best and most satisfying k^ll animations,
the combat feels so fun to me purely for the badass k^llmoves.
i just wish this game had the hookblade from ACR , it is satisfying to climb in a manner that triggers the hookblade animation making the climbing into almost a constant minigame while a moving
also, the combat has some weird hidden mechanics too(example: once u block 2nd combo attack of an enemy and press attack button ezio will do a critical hit sending them staggering and vulnerable to an insta-k^ll etc.).
sure the combat is braindead easy that allows button mashing, but mashing button itself is a joykiller for me that hinders my enjoyment if i do it so i just did self-restrictions (eg- only using counterk^lls in 1v1, never engaging more than 1v2 , doing combok^lls on an enemy only if the others were visibly injured after a crit etc). i try to simulate fight like this and end up enjoying it. i am not even hardcore AC fan at all

Unfortunate that you can no longer play the multiplayer mode. I adored the multiplayer in Brotherhood and Revelations.
Nothing was better than using poison on your target right before they stun you and then watching them fall over as you get max stealth points.

My favourite memory of this game was sending 2 fresh assassin recruits on a 1% chance of success difficult mission and them both coming back near enough max level
You just KNOW those two had a hell of a story to tell Ezio.
I kind of wish in later games when the assassin recruits came back from missions, you could find them at the Bureau and they would tell you stories about their adventures.@@MidnightKingL
Damn, I sent all of my best assassins on a mission onxe, the success chance was 90%, they all died
How did that work out
@@dipika_pujari27 Lady Luck sometimes lends us her blessing
It's crazy to think they managed to create these games in one year after one another. We need the old writers back.
brotherhood was made in 9 months i believe and revelations was originally intended for PSP they’re truly miracles
Old writers doesn’t mean same gameplay
It's the same writer who wrote 4 and Valhalla story and now he's working for ac hexe
As long as the original creator of AC is not involved, AC is never going to be good again.
This games multiplayer was my god damn childhood. and the story. Best assassins creed hands down
One aspect to Ezio’s character that’s interesting is his relationship with his sister.
Still my second favorite AC game after 2. The only criticism I have nowadays is that there are way too many annoying, frustrating tailing missions.
yeah the tailing sucks but at least it isn't exclusive to Brotherhood.
so in comparison to the other titles it ain't so bad right ?
@@haytham7191 absolutely. I just finished black flag and it felt like that was 70% of the missions
and minimum challenge (combat)
@@malonecummings YEAH LMAO literally all the main missions in black flag are tailing I've been playing it too and had the same thought
Requiescat in pace Ezio 🕊
soundtrack was pretty good right behind AC2
the city in the cave was pretty badass too
Servers aren’t shutdown yet! Another couple of weeks to go!
@@WaldoRod soundtrack was on another level, still listen to it to this day alongside ac2's. I even considered buying it physically
They didn't shut it down yet. It's still available till September 1st 2022 if you wanna jump in for a last game
Ac2 and Brotherhood defined everything an Ac game should be for me. The cities of Italy and Ezio as a character makes the game timeless imo.
How to save game data and how to play from resume
The most satisfying part of the ezio series for me is casually walking past a guard, disarming them, dropping their weapon and randomly having them run away in fear. The many tiny details that show Ezio's mastery is amazing.
I have been re-playing a lot of AC this year. Starting with the Ezio Collection, I am now in Black Flag. Brotherhood is, without a doubt, still my favorite in the series, and even one of my favorite games period.
Also, 3 was WAY better than I remembered.
SAMMEE ac 3 is sooo fucking good,i hated it when i played it back in the day but now im in love with it holy shit connor is such a bad ass
Wait people didn’t like AC3 when it first came out? I thought it was the most unique AC game ever made
@@stratosphere2323 I didn't hate it, and to be fair I'm not sure in what headspace I was back then, but I clearly remember just not thinking that much about it.
Yeah, Jesper Kid is an unbelievable master in AC's Soundtrack, just astonishing
@@FabrizzioLaroca for real dawg , newer AC fans don’t even know what the franchise was like in it’s hey day, and i am not trying to gatekeep 😭
This period was the golden age of assassin's creed and gaming in general, sad we won't see anything like this anymore
but to say that it was the golden age of games, having already been going through it we already experienced some of the games that were from that time frame.
What is your favorite AC game?

@@pavanteja5176 No.
You do contracts to pick off Cesare's court, you do courtesans to eliminate political allies, you do thieves to eliminate bandits employed by Borgia, Romulus lairs to uncover Vatican conspiracy, and you do towers and training your assassins to liberate Roma
It's engaging because when the game hook you into the story and then actually recognize the story in every parts of the game, you are invested since it mattered and not something to waste your time.
"My wife is really good with the knife"
Mine too, she's in prison.
hmm should i be worried?
Ok i hope that's a joke
I literally finished ac2 yesterday and starting brotherhood today it's nice to see these games are still getting the attention they deserve
I was 12 during this time and my argument was "Fuck you Ezio, If you DIDN'T take off your clothes the night before, we would've had SOMETHING to start with."
I never truly realized back then how hooked I am to Ezio as a character and how much fun it was to follow him from birth to death.
They about to shut it down
@@littv1610 I haven't been able to actually connect to a match in a very long time. It's heartbreaking.

They might come back in mirage but I doubt it, also some heist missions from unity kind of remind me of the tomb missions
Unity has the tombs in the dlc
Another phenomenal review I’ve really been enjoying your chill gameplay videos as well lately! Thank you for the work you put in, have a great day!
Love your content by the way
I literally just finished the story of brotherhood yesterday, and it just reminded me of why it's not only my personal favourite assassins creed, by why the ezio trilogy is the best out the whole franchise.
2010 was an absolutely insane year for games, just banger after banger
Never bothered with them at the time but playing AC2 on ps+
Very surprised at the standard of quality for the time. Despite obvious limitations I’m enjoying it as much as anything new I’ve played in a while. Look forward to getting to brotherhood and beyond eventually.
yea AC was just mindblowing back then.. now it's just one of these games..
The only thing I remember not liking when I first played was when the Villa was destroyed.
damn I'm the opposite i loved that whole sequence it gave us a good hook for the story i think

It's my favorite game , i started ac with it and i love it more than anything, it's design made me LOVE the ac series
The multiplayer section almost made me tear up with nostalgia, glad you can still play it on pc
Over all its just beautiful as ive experienced the first 3 games completely and in love.
i just love the soundtrack in the background. it's just an iconic soundtrack
Because of your Origins video I bought Assassin's Creed Origins and just finished it, thank you for an epic experience that I would not have had without your videos talking me into getting it
Someone gifted me the Ezio Collection on reddit. I have so far been having a blast replaying AC2, but can't wait to get started on brotherhood
Its amazing how this game is so better well made overall than many newer games
Cant lie the assassins creed 2 is the reason I started gaming properly then I see brotherhood and I lost my shit as a kid then revelations man Playing them all as a kid was great I understood them all but they didn’t resonate with me as well as it does now story wise.. hearing the theme tune gets me everytime 😢
i remember loving playing the multiplayer of brotherhood, the characters and game modes were so much fun
Great game overall
the assassins feature was the absolute best. Shame that all the new gen ACgames dont have it anymore
Same going to get on switch to get that nostalgia and memories of enjoyment and joyful times of playing the best assassin game
Ezios capability in this game feels so earned because you played him through his development in AC2
I am currently playing ac brotherhood first time in 2022 and it is amazing! Prob my favourite game of all time
The combat in the ezio trilogy has amazing mechanics and is full of details and different approaches to killing an enemy
BUT
i never in brotherhood felt the need to dodge or grab or use any of the mechanics in the game
The game should make it so it forces you to use these mechanics maybe make an enemy that you can’t counter or make an enemy that wears heavy armor that only a blade to the neck can kill him so you can’t kill him with a sword only a hidden blade
Or make an enemy that you can’t counter you can only disarm him like the spear guy
My favorite entry in AC games
Great story, characters, narative, breat taking scenery, atmosphere music.
Fuck them”
Afterwards I played the game and forgave them. Amazing game and worth the hit on my childhood psyche. I’m replaying it now and it seriously aged like fine wine. Anybody who’s here, go play the game.
Honestly, I've loved every single AC game
Brotherhood is definitely my favorite AC game still.
0:22 2 couples of papal guards in front of ya
Yes AC Brotherhood is a great game but that Leonardo tank mission still haunts me to this day
Ubisoft made a lot of stunning games including Assassin's Creed and now i'm worried about what she's gonna do with this "Infinity". It's the first time I do something like this, but now Ubi asks the fans what they want, so...
I send them a Letter named:
"A Letter From A Worried Assassin's Creed Fan"
Here's what It says:
Dear Ubisoft,
I'm Filippo from Italy and I'm a huge fan of Assassin's Creed.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's a long comment, I know.
I went in guns blazing, using everything I'd learned (still mostly counter-killing lol), and I TOOK CESARE DOWN WITHOUT GETTING HIT FOR 9/10 OF THE FIGHT
I was so proud of that moment
So proud of you :)
I played through this again a couple years ago and 100%’d it, this game holds up so well and it’s my favorite out of the AC games
the rapier felt so good to fight with, it was perfectly stylized so it could still feel real while actually being fun
My favourite AC game and one of my favourite games of all time.
Brotherhood was the first AC I played, and i still remember enjoying it. It's my 2nd fav AC game after Black Flag.
Everything you've said here is true. It's the best game ever created for me.
Another thing I love about Brotherhood is the VR training, it taught me some things that even I didn't know about the parkour!
Bro Brotherhood is the ac that started me on the ac franchise i grew up on this amd its amzing to know people still play and view this game it makes my heart swell with happynes thank you so much heres a sub
Out of all the newer games, let's call it HD generation, Unity does the best at capturing the feel of AC2 and Brotherhood.
Brotherhood was my first AC game and the Ezio's family theme just brings back so many nostalgic memories.
This is great I need Ubisoft to do more direct sequels in AC Arno and Connor definitely would’ve benefited from that type of character treatment
I was lucky enough to play the Ezio saga for the first time this year. I absolutely loved it. Ezio might be my favourite videogame protagonist for quite a while
I bought it! Finished ac 2 already and taking my time with brotherhood
Wish I could erase my memory of playing this game and start all over again.
I recently replayed revelations within the past few years since it came out originally and it was A LOT better than what I remembered it being.
How did they manage to nail every single AC game!? It’s like a 100% quality rate
i love watching your videos dude, they are now part of my comfort playlist and every time i feel like shit i just pop on one of your "I played" vids.
Assassin's Creed Ezio Trilogy and Black Flag my favorites of all time. Truly a masterpiece.
@@rabertoification can be for you, but not for me ☺️
7:35 no Jayvee, that IS on the game.
I keep Syndicate installed because I love schmoving around in London. How you feel about this map is how I feel about London map.
Good days.
