Well in older versions of the game it used to require you to be between them in the center of i remember correctly, which made it more plausible but still why wouldn't the monks complain a stranger dude is walking in between them, nothing fishy about it 😂
Biggest Tip: There is a really big bug early on in the game (within the first 30 minutes) - and if you encounter this bug, you won't be able to progress through the story at all, and the only way to fix it (currently) is to restart your game. People who experienced this bug (like myself) spent 2-3 hours exploring, and then realized we had to nuke the game to continue. I'll try not to add any spoilers, but here's a vague description of what to expect in order to avoid the bug: 1) As soon as you get your ship, the quest marker will point you towards a town. 2) Once in the town, follow the main story. (Talk to everyone in the town) 3) DO NOT LEAVE THE TOWN AT ALL 4) The quest objectives will have you talk to the King (which you wont be able to), then the Blacksmith, then you'll try to talk to the King again, but you wont be able to, and you'll get an objective to talk to Valka (the Seer). 5) Go STRAIGHT to the Seer. Then you should be good. This quest seems to bug out for those of us that went exploring and found the Seer before we were supposed to.
The game is really bad at adapting to "alternate paths"; if you don't do something in a particular order, it gets stuck or confused. For example, when doing the Beowulf quest, if you get to a certain point and kill a certain monster before the quest tells you to go there, the quest bugs out and you can't complete it. Reloading your save game will trigger the quest completion, but still, rather obvious oversight by Ubi.
Idk if this is known or why it wasnt in this video but i haven't seen anyone comment on it but the perfect dodge "slow time" perk also instantly refills your stamina gauge. Makes for worrying about stamina a thing of the past
This game has gotten a bit of mixed reviews but I’m about 20 hours in now and I’m absolutely loving it. My biggest gripe with it is that the movement can be a bit clunky. There’s no reason why a character’s movement should be clunky in 2021 but aside from that, all the other little “problems” with it can easily be overlooked, at least for me. The storyline, the pacing and everything else are awesome!
Charged Shot is a skill in the blue section of the skill tree (skill, not ability) that allows you to shoot two hunter arrows at once. A simple arrow does more damage than any other item in the game. It is 1000% the strongest ability (and acquirable thing overall) in the entire game. I’ve taken out lvl 400 bosses at lvl 50. ---- Other notable skills (again, skill tree not abilities) are Missile Reversal which is great to get ranged enemies that are far away in fortresses without needing to take time to actually shoot/attack them. You press it before a projectile hits you and you’ll throw it/shoot it back without having to aim. Instant kill. --- Another invaluable skill is Breakfall which significantly lessens the fall damage Eivor takes. Unless you enjoy a dreadfully slow climb down the side of every vertical object, it’s something you should absolutely prioritize. There are a couple other skills that allow you to retrieve arrows you’ve shot, loot arrows from archers, have the raven auto-loot things you shoot, and regain lost health when hitting enemies that I’ve enjoyed having. These are more quality-of-life, however, and I would still STRONGLY encourage going after the first three I mentioned as they are undoubtedly the most useful skills.
by the way, it is actually not hard to raid the higher power level monasteries on normal mode as you can leave most of the work to your crew and work primarily on gaining wealth; when your crew dies you can repetitively revive them. hope this helped!
I actually found the "Man's best friend" ability somewhere before that sidequest with the kid. I find it crucial in getting critical stomp hits on tough to beat baddies.
While at first look it does appear the skill tree looks like what you are referring too but to be honest, it more points to what kind of gear you are going to be using. If you are concentrating on Raven gear, you should go yellow, Wolf goes blue and Bear Red. It is good to get some of the abilities from all 3 but there are some skill nodes that would be pointless to get if you are not wearing said gear. The one thing I miss REALLY bad is multiple bow slots so I dont have to keep going into my menu to change a bow out. I use the Predator for distance head shot damage, then when I get into a settlement, I will change to Hunter or Light depending on the enemies in question.
I just started playing it on PC. And controls feel AMAZING. Combat is SICK. I really thought it will not be challenging but on higher difficulty its great. Every strike you really feel like you hit him great game so far

Only thing I couldn’t redeem was the season pass and ultimate pack code for the digital additional content until launch. Which I’m ok with honestly there is sooooo much to do right off the back. For those anticipating the release hold strong it’ll be very well worth it ! The graphics are gorgeous even more so on the series X and PS5 respectively. I can imagine. I’m playing on the X and it runs smoothly.
When you do the quest where you can talk them down by half just a heads up doesn't matter what you pay you can successfully pickpocket all of your money back even with no stealth just after paying.

Valhalla has a lot more variety in the quests in my opinion :). There is also more of an incentive to explore and find exciting new weapons and armour, as well as upgrading all of your gear since everything is more rare, and the visuals of your gear will look cooler over time as well.

2) Once in the town, follow the main story. (Talk to everyone in the town)
3) DO NOT LEAVE THE TOWN AT ALL
4) The quest objectives will have you talk to the King (which you wont be able to), then the Blacksmith, then you'll try to talk to the King again, but you wont be able to, and you'll get an objective to talk to Valka (the Seer).
5) Go STRAIGHT to the Seer.
Then you should be good.
This quest seems to bug out for those of us that went exploring and found the Seer before we were supposed to.
Hope I don’t hit this, cause I already spent 4 hours raiding and collecting around Norway.
Thanks for the info!
I did this and it didn't bug out thankfully.
Makes for worrying about stamina a thing of the past
ruclips.net/video/WZB51NSYcEc/видео.html 😳😳😲🙌
----
Other notable skills (again, skill tree not abilities) are Missile Reversal which is great to get ranged enemies that are far away in fortresses without needing to take time to actually shoot/attack them. You press it before a projectile hits you and you’ll throw it/shoot it back without having to aim. Instant kill.
---
Another invaluable skill is Breakfall which significantly lessens the fall damage Eivor takes.
Yes, I raided a lvl 90 place while I was lvl 45
Didnt learn anything new but really enjoyed the video. You know what you're doing with the format. Nice.
Nice I have 7 hours to wait before I can play it will do just fine.
You're in for a treat.
@@QuestMode That's what I like to hear you're giving me hope 😭
Me too
Just put your location to New Zealand to play today
7 only ?
Watching this made me feel better about my playing. I am getting semi frustrated with certain parts so thank you for doing this.
I actually found the "Man's best friend" ability somewhere before that sidequest with the kid. I find it crucial in getting critical stomp hits on tough to beat baddies.
This is one of the better videos I’ve watched as far as game tips. Impressive enough to comment on
I’m going to subscribe. RPG gamer and if your videos are still up to par with that one you’ll be getting views. Darn Valhalla has been buggy with me.
This video is awesome, you explained everything perfectly without spoiling anything. Kudos to you sir
god this just makes me more excited for tomorrow
Kid I am tomorrow
It comes out at 8 tonight for me
You can play right now on console
@@Takhar7 where do you live? I assumed the game releases at midnight no matter where you are
@@udontgotJack Toronto, Canada - been playing since tjis morning on Xbox. Chsnge your region to New Zealand, and you'll bypass the wait
This game is so goddamn good. I have been hooked all day. Will most likely be hooked until credits roll
This video is a gold mine of information. Thank you, and I subscribe.
Probably the best guide video for beginners,
Way of convaing knowledge is very simple
He doesn't overwhelm with too much knowledge
I just started playing it on PC. And controls feel AMAZING. Combat is SICK. I really thought it will not be challenging but on higher difficulty its great. Every strike you really feel like you hit him great game so far
Been playing since Friday, received my Collector’s edition and was able to get a head start on it.
How do you pick pockets???????
This is the most helpful tip guide I've come across for this game. Thanks so much!
They specifically fixed the level gating from the last two games in Valhalla, you just need to know how to navigate a higher level area efficiently.
yeah exactly i can easily do lvl 230 raids at 80 power
In stealth i assume
So nice, and the added rush of knowing that if an enemy in any of these areas even sneezes on you your fuckn dead
Why does everyone say odysseys level gating was bad? It was really easy, just time consuming
@@handoaleman9967 extremely time consuming, I’ve had it for years and it gets boring after a while every time I try to finish it. So far Valhalla seems much more smooth
The dive of the valkyries ability can be found in the cave beneath the Isle of Ely Monastery. You can raid it early on when you travel to England.
I love all these intuitive videos that you make are incredible. I even watch your videos about games that I don't play and that I know I won't play ahaha. Stay up the good work and good luck with the rest of the chanel.
Thank you so much for the kind words!
@@QuestMode you deserve it :)
I know it's been a while since you made this, but I want to say this is the best AC Valhalla tip video on RUclips, and I've watched most of them!
Love the Valhalla vids quest mode. You got a new sub. Totally taught me way more than I had known on this game
Glad to hear it! And very glad to have your support 🙏
This is the most useful and handy guides of ac valhalla in youtube. You deserve more subs than IGN..
I've played for over 200 hours and the only tip I'll give is DO WHATEVER YALL WANT you'll get used to the game and it's mechanism
This is the only truly helpful tips video, I’m 30 hours in and this was still very helpful, Thankyou
Go full bear, get the skill to use two two-handed weapons at once, unleash hell.
Seriously can you use two spears. At once?
@@GovandMkarim yes
Full bear? What do you mean
@@bobfat5307 red skills
@@GovandMkarim appreciate it
Unlike all the other videos I've watched this is actually helpful info thanks!
I just watched this while the prologue played. Very handy. You got yourself a new subscriber!
One ability I highly recommend is poisonous powder trap, one arrow can take out several enemies while you remain undetected
Thank you! Just waiting for my PS5 to arrive. I want to play this on the new generation first.
Good video, I’m about 40 hrs in the game, and 2 mins into the video and I’m already learning new things
Guys btw the "dive of the valkyries" lets you open barred doors from the outside. Walk right against the door and do it
What?! Seriously? I’m going to have to give this a try. I had no idea 😭
Lies
Thank you!! I am so glad I found your video. I literally just started playing the game this afternoon. Still in the first island in the beginning.
Loved the moment when I talked the thief down went back and killed her
Got my 260gold back
Blue skill tree is actually range with the wolf and yellow is assassination with the crow. so they are actually ass backwards, seeing how the wolf is the stealthy creature and the crow is a perfect fit for range.
ruclips.net/video/WZB51NSYcEc/видео.html 😳😳😲🙌🙌
7hrs in and absolutely loving it
Build the hunting hut first it unlocks missions the bakery has missions too .. the ac building is very important and the shop although there is a shop in every town/city too so it's not too essential but it's up there ... Once the river raid dock is built do raids to get supplies to build the Amory with gives you more gear build slots I have 1 for light assassin work (2 sax) 1 with light ammor with a 2 handed weapon and my every day type build for roaming around .. other than the map shop, roman place, and tattoo shop the rest are just for feast boost's
This was such an excellent video! Thank you for this! So excited to play this game tomorrow, and now I have the knowledge I need to be a better Viking!
Great collection of tips. Just started the game yesterday. Still getting the hang of it but having fun too. Thanks.
Ugh I wanna play so badly, but I'm definitely waiting to play it on my ps5. Just 3 more days
For the buildings, the stable isn't needed because you can upgrade your horse at any stable away from Ravensthorpe
The game looks INSANE! Can't wait to play it.Awesome tips. Cooooooome on Midnight ShiiiiiiT. 😆
Thanks for revealing this game is different areas. I thought the game was going to be short and sweet.
God finally the wait is over!!!! Excited to have my hands on the game later!!! 🥰🥰🥰😍
don't not update until you get to england.. bugy as hell..
campkira omg thanks! 👍
Thank so much for showing me these tips. Recently, I had just finished Last of Us 2 for the third time and needed another game to get lost in.
Just played it about 1 hour.... Shit!!! It feel soo grounded! I'm in love with the game!!!

First of all. Your content is great. Your voice is great. Your background music is absolutely amazing. Definitely subscribed!
Many reviewer trashing this game i was skeptical at first but im 4 hours in loving the game so far
Its always better to try something and make your own mind up.
The only complaint i have heard, is the dumbest complaint someone can have about a open world rpg game, imo. They claim its too long. It is about as stupid as telling your boss he/she is paying you too much $.
Most reviews sites and user reviews are super positive ign gave it a good review pc gamer gave it a 92 the consensus is it's an amazing game held back by bugs if you are like me and don't mind hugs it's a masterpiece. Some RUclips reviews complain about length or slog but that seems super subjective I put over 100 hours in odyssey never got super bored or hit a bad level gate so maybe I'm biased but I think the new ac games are criminally underated. I have played every ac games except unity and liberation and so far valhalla is my favorite
@@Fidilisfool I have played the older games but not for a long time, so gave Odyssey a try, loved and got Origins and put many hours into both.
And now I'm really enjoying valhalla. A few little issues, here and there but that's to be expected so close to launch.
@@MrsGraphiteGal the old games were different and good in there own right but I am excited it changed directions. It would have been boring if it didn't shake things up.
I love this game! I love that its extra long and grindy!! Im 105 hrs in and about 60 percent done i think 15 hours of that is all river raiding lol love it!!
Essential Tip #1: Just play the game and have fun if possible. That simple.
Best skill I took was the returning missle. Catch and fire back spears and arrows that are thrown at you. You can even catch and return sling shots, and the fire bombs from the fire enemies
I am so hype for the wolf mount... I'll never ride a horse again after that
we all know.. we just going back to horse with wing since it can drop down since this game you will take fall damage..
Thanks for this video! anyone know how do we get those bear fur coats?
Different cloaks for different sets of armor. Also if you upgrade your armory you’ll be able to use transmog to change the look of any cloak.
Black Bear Fur? It's some black boars by the coast of ledecestrescire.
Don't remember exactly where.
But if you look close to the water, on the west coast I think it would be the right place. Don't seen them anywhere else 😮
Ahah I'm 20 hours deep and I feel like I've barely scratched the surface aha
Very helpful Thank you, I am only 1/3 of the way through at the moment .
I see you playing as the female version of Eivor do you like her so far? I loved Kassandra in Odyssey it felt like the story was meant for her trying to get your brother back with your family.
Yeah. I really like her, and I also loved Kassandra. Eivor has a sense of humor, which I love, but it's very different from Kassandra's. Eivor's humor is much more dry. She's also just a good person (besides the mass murder that comes with being the star of an AC game). She genuinely cares about people, especially her brother. I'm sure the same could be said for male Eivor, but I'm gonna stick with Female Eivor.
@@QuestMode I’m loving my time with male Eivor.. he is the actor that plays Cnut in The Last Kingdom so once I learned that it was an obvious choice for me lol. Loving this game! Literally spent like 10 hours in the starter area before the prologue even rolled 🤣
Thanks for the upload lad nicely done
Quick tip : you can actually steal your money back from tonna 😂🔥
Do you know if u can re-do raids after you have completed it?
ESSENTIAL TIPS = play game, try everything. Truly essential, lol.
yea these "tips" were rough, literally at one point " get this skill, where is it? shit i duuno" lol
Arrow to the knee always work lol
I used to be a guard in Norway. But then I took an arrow in the knee
Im actually using mans best friend but will switch to plague of rats when i get the france dlc to get the whole saboteur assassin i have going on i really want golden fire too i love the explosives in this game.
Is it just me or is the raven pretty useless compared to The eagles in Odyssey and Origins?
True you cant even tag enemies
This was amazingly helpful, thank you. I flailed around with this game for the first 30 hours or so... still picking up new tricks on the regular
I really don't like it when characters start glowing in games.
Leave that to DragonBall and Ranma
there are a few exceptions, where it is immersing really good with the settings, but man, since Origins, the combat here is just lame
It’s not really happening tbh. It’s like eagle vision. Only you see it. No one else can.
This is the best video for tips on valhalla I've seen.
And it also boggles my mind how ubisoft ade so many minor flaws in telling you how the game works
I have played over 25 hours and still only completed 18% of the game.
Nice
I got bored of Odyssey... Same type of quests, looting everything (that you don't really need at some point) and attacking and killing people in forts. That's just it. A huge map that has the same stuff all over again doesn't sound appealing to me. Care to explain how its different in Valhalla?
Valhalla has a lot more variety in the quests in my opinion :). There is also more of an incentive to explore and find exciting new weapons and armour, as well as upgrading all of your gear since everything is more rare, and the visuals of your gear will look cooler over time as well.
@@timshaw1468 Ok thanks. Although the last part is the same in Odyssey ofcourse. But maybe I just had enough of AC kinda games. I played AC1 and only just Origins (that blew me away). After that it all feels a bit too much the same. Plus I always expect they get more out of the NPC's. The only thing that makes the NPC different is when they play music :) Would be way cooler if you had more interactions with NPC's besides the 'ow' if you walk against them.
Great AC Valhalla hints & tips. Last AC game I played was Black Flag, been really enjoying Valhalla!
Awesome video man! I just finally started playing this the other day, and your video was 10x better than any other I've seen! Definitely subscribed!!
