I really dig the Talon and it seems like these things are getting crazier and crazier, but farther and farther out of reach with each year. I think I'll stick with ATVs, dirt bikes, and street bikes... Unless someone wants to take me for a ride in their SxS to convince me that I need one😅
As soon as you go for a ride in one on some GOOD terrain, you may get hooked.
I'm a huge bike advocate and got a ride in one last weekend... I'm hooked.. I want one.
What an unreal machine! For some reason we only get the two seater in Canada.
The I-4WD has always been the achilles heel in these machines. Everybody that actually off roads Talons disables the I-4WD. It cuts power when you don't want it to, gets confused and makes the machine wheel hop, etc. Not a refined system at all. Maybe they changed some things, but give me a simple 4WD on/off switch, with selectable lockers. Keep traction control away from off road vehicles

The 520 isn’t bad for the small bore class, but yea they really need a new Rincon 700 thumper, and I wonder if the parallel twin could be shoehorned into a quad frame for a 1000
We picked up a foreman 520 this year for chores on our 25 acres. It is quick enough and stupid simple to work on, but for something fun Honda is lacking

My 520 Rubicon was a little bit of a disappointment. My 420 rancher would out run it. After upsizing the tire, adding a power commander, and hmf exhaust the 520 would then have the edge on the 420 but not by much. This year I bought a Grizzly 700. Wow. Night and day difference in power and the yamaha engine runs much smoother or at least transfers much less vibration to the frame and rider. The suspension is much softer too. I've been a Honda guy my whole life (dirt bikes, atvs, and street bikes) but at this point I couldn't recommend a honda atv unless it was more for work or it was for someone younger with a better back. LoL.
Dual clutch is the way to go even tho this isnt a 240gp utv it is fun to drive.
Glad they are at least updating the Talon some. I wish they would come out with a Rec/Sport model to compete with the Rmax and General XP. I’m not sure if they realize that they also make cars and can surely put some creature comforts in and a built in screen with some kind of gps.

Rest assured I will never buy another Honda Talon if they don’t do something about the lack of power. Man it sucks!!! Get a GPS already. It’s been 5 years. Get with Can-Am or Polaris and get a Ride Command or something.
