Not to scare anyone away from PMI courses or study hall, but I honestly believe you can pass the PMP just by watching this video (a few times) and the 150 PMP Q&A video. I also used SH and took the practice exam through PMI (and was not scoring well on average), but David's explanations were what went through my head as I was taking (and passing) the PMP.
    Recommendation:
    1. Watch this video with your full attention and just absorb it.
    2. Watch a second time while taking notes - especially about any artifacts, terms, or models he mentions that you don't fully get.
    3. Research the items you noted in step 2 and add your own explanations/memory techniques to your notes.
    4. Watch it again, focusing on your notes to make sure you haven't missed anything.

Great post, I just got one question: What is your professional background? Would you say your approach is applicable to a PM with the minimum required years of experience in the PM field, or is there a deeper understanding required given by years of experience exceeding the PMI requirements? thank you

You should absolutely scare people away from the PMI courses and Study Hall. I'm trying to use them now and I've never been more confused about project management in my life. Riddled with typos, lessons completely unrelated to the questions they ask, and frequently self-contradictory. David McLachlan and Ricardo Vargas are keeping me sane while I try to study.

I was ready to forgo the fee and forget about the certification when I came across your videos 3 weeks back. The clear understanding of concepts gave me hope I can maybe do it & immediately scheduled my exam for the last possible slot! After watching this video, I re-read the PMBOK and it was like a light bulb moment for me. Apart from this I practiced questions through your Agile 200 questions & 150 waterfall videos as well. That's all the practice I had time for & was hoping to just pass but getting 3 ATS has made me absolutely thrilled! Thank you a million times over for making this seem possible for me. Hi David,
I just got my preliminary PMP exam results, and I have passed it. For my preparation I started off with your 1 hour video on 7th edition of PMBOK and then have watched all of your videos on scenario based questions 2 times and made notes to develop the mindset. All of your videos are priceless, it was your videos which enabled and motivated me to go and get done with the certification. TBH, I had your voice in my mind while answering the questions on exam day, I was like how would David select the best option, "this looks like a high may be", "a very good choice", "a low may be".
Thank you David you enabled many individuals like me , you deserve a medal.
