These guys truly are masters of the fresh water commercial fishing
The masters were the ones before us that made a living doing it. We're just passing on a small bit of what they passed on !!! Thanks for watching, and God Bless !!!
I agree 👍
That was a good example of the thermocline. Good stuff.

Lol. “Quit being ignert “. Poor Danielle. I think Mr. Loye can probably deliver a eulogy and make it sound interesting. Good country folk makes good entertainment. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Buddy. I laugh myself sometimes, believe it or not, lol
Great job
Thanks!!
I love your videos. I wait for each and every one of them. Bradley you are the man my brother
Thanks Jamie. We're trying to get to where were releasing on average 3-4 videos each month if not more. It's hard to do because we're normal working people, lol. However as our channel grows we will be adding to our filming and editing equipment to help get our videos out to you guys faster. We will continue to do quality over quantity. Thanks again
Any day on the water. Amen, God bless
God's Country!
Thank you I in Caddo Parish 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Awesome, not too awful long ways. Good fishing area you in!!
Solid information.
Thanks, hope it helps!!!
hope you make some more wire net videos, just found your channel and enjoying it.
Yes sir. We're also planning on Slat traps as well!!
Outstanding show, you have a new subscriber here. Looking forward to more net fishing. I am with Loye, those "hammer handles" as my Dad used to call them, are the best tasting channels. He always like them "about the length of a long neck beer bottle." And he usually had something to measure with.
They are the best to me too. I like catching big flatheads, but Channels are what I want
Your the net man. Like them fried whole.
I like em whole too. Only reason on I fillet so many is for time savings. Heck, fillets good too, lol
Great video, I pick up some great information with each new video I watch, keep up the good work.
Thanks, and we will definitely keep em going!!
Awesome video!
Thanks Brother!!
You should how to clean and cook .awesome video 👍
I will work on that for sure. We're gonna add more content to our channel as we grow and see people's interest. Thanks for suggesting, that's what we want!!
I aint got no use for a thief we work hard for what we have don’t mess anybody coming along and helping them selves.
Couldn't say it better myself!!!
Looks like they'd catch better by hanging them horizontal .
I've only tried vertical when hanging them. Be a lot of trouble to hang horizontal I think. Be hanging on limbs on those snags. I'm not sure it would catch better either. Those fish will come up to feed in summer months. We're not fishing current anyways then. They just looking for an opening to get to that free meal🤣
Can you use the wire traps in the winter. I have 3 and haven’t figured them out good enough yet
Yes, at times there good in winter, but you'll be fishing them on bottom in and around the deeper sloughs. My suggestion in winter would be set all three in different depths and areas of your water, then move the rest where you catch best. Hoop nets are better in winter if you have current, but these wire nets may be better if no current
how long do you usually let your nets sit before running them
7 days unless the water gets warm. Fish will start dying as it warms up. Then every 5 days
Sorry, these wire nets in the summertime, only a day or two. Fish die quick on in summer time
What part of Louisiana are you fishing and where can I get a bait block like you use?
We fish mostly North of I-20 on the Ouachita river and on Darbonne, it's feeder creeks, and the Bayou as well. Nets and more, or most any of the local bait stores have the power bait blocks
Are you using lead weighted main line? If so how do you like it? Im thinking about switching and using it due to people stealing and the rope will stay on the bottom or out of sight. It seems no matter what type of rope I try it always has some type of buoyancy to it.
No sir. You don't want leaded rope. Bouyancy in the rope is a good thing. That helps the drag catch the rope easier. If you get in a lot of current especially. Just put you a good weight on the head line, pull it tight and drop it in. Something the size or weight of 1 window weight plenty. The more current we fish, the less weight we use. Current will keep the rope down, good luck, it's about that time!!!
@@godscountryhuntingfishing1638 Thanks! Im a local here in the West Monroe area as well. I caught around 150 pounds of blue and channel cat last run in 4 wire nets. I love the net fishing!
@@codyearnest6577 awesome, that's a good catch. I don't start fishing much till after 1st of the year, but we will be adding more videos coming soon. Your in a good area to fish the river for sure. Be sure to Set your Bell to All and catch our upcoming videos. All the subs, Views, likes, comments, and shares are what helps our channel grow and keeps us making videos
@@godscountryhuntingfishing1638 Def will do! Thanks
You ever catch slap full in the summertime?
If they are running good yes. This was a blind set in a new area I'd never fished. You just gotta move around till you find right area when fishing lakes, because of the lack of current. Towards fall it gets better, like Sept-October
Where do you get your bait block?
In town at our local bait shop, but you can order them by the case from Nets and More, Memphis net and Twine
Where do you get your nets and how much are thet
Where do you live? Most net companies have them, like Memphis net and twine, or Nets and more. However, I'm in North Louisiana, and most of our local bait shops sell them for $50-$60. If you can find a local net maker, you may can get them for around $45-50 each
@@godscountryhuntingfishing1638 I am northeast Louisiana
@@stevestephenson4826 Honey Hole in West Monroe, Cooter's in Farmerville, and K&M in Farmerville all have the nets and bait blocks. Remember to get your gear license for wire nets!!
Thank you
Can you build a wire trap for me
I don't build them to sell if that's what your talking about. If your talking about on video, I've released the first half of building one, just gotta get around to finishing it. We've had several hunting trips take priority 🤣🤣
Thanks for responding. Your videos are awesome keep them coming
@jerryraiford4563 no problem. We plan on doing this for some time. At times we have to cut the number of video output because of our hunting trips and so much work going on pre season. It's a busy time of year for us, lol
Bom dia oque vc usa de iscas nas armadilha
K
Fine eating
Indeed they are!!
There is no such thing as a BLUE CHANNEL CATFISH! There are Blue catfish and there are channel catfish. TWO DIFFERENT SPECIES.
Their Blue in color, and their Channel Catfish, which makes them Blue Channel Catfish to us, lol. Either way, no matter what you call them, they always eat good!!! You are correct, Channel Cats. We're not exactly Scientifically correct people, lol.
@@godscountryhuntingfishing1638 Not trying to hassle you man, but that has always been a pet peeve of mine, I think that some just like the way that its sounds. LOL At any rate, IMO and most experienced fisherman that I know, Blues eat better, no yellow meat around the dorsal, etc. Be that as it may, I'd rather eat bream anyway, which await me tomorrow and are overnighting in my refrigerator. LOL Good video.
@@mopledger2314 It's all in fun man. I come from a long history of commercial fishing, and grew up on the Ouachita River system. We have both Blues and channel cats thick here locally. In our hoop net videos, you'll see a lot of blues, but our lakes are full of channel's. Lots of the reason I named that video is half the people out there call them Blue Channel Cats, or whatever they search online. We just don't want to miss anyone, lol. You right, Bream are the best. Well, Crappie pretty good too!!!
@@godscountryhuntingfishing1638 I've always been partial to crappie(as eaters), but I am an old man(84 years), and my fishing has just about centered on a pier on a 87 acre TWRA lake in my area(west Tennessee). My target is bream(bluegills and redears), and I catch a bunch. So, I have actually starting liking them to eat, better than crappie(probably because that's what I catch). IMO two year old bluegills, females best of all, and young pre-spawn males(not the big old black male spawners that pull so hard but are paper thin). I am not an otter so I don't eat fish everyday. Actually I only keep fish about one out of four trips that I take. If there are no takers on the pier for what I catch, I put them back. LOL
@@mopledger2314 that's great. My favorite freshwater fish to eat is bream as well, I just crappie fish a lot more in recent years, but we do it all. Trying to do a little bit of everything in our videos to the public and share our adventures with others. I only hope I make it to 84, and still enjoying fishing at that age as my grandfather was. Hats off to you sir for continuing to enjoy the outdoors. My Brother lives just South of Nashville in Culleoka and fishes some of the lakes you speak of. I love Redears. We catch a pile in one of our previous videos!!!
Sham have hide ware they are people not respect full..😢
Agreed, but unfortunately there are a ton of dishonest people in the world. I'd feed them if they hungry, or give them fish, but I wouldn't do well with a net thief
