I had forgotten how much I enjoy your on the water videos until these last two Jonny. The combination of how you find the bait/bass and how you approach and catch the bass along with the live sonar views of SI, DI, sonar and FFS really help. And finally, as always your setup and links to baits are appreciated. Keep 'em coming Jonny.
Randy's OPINION shouldn't mean anything to you.. You would think after 2 years of him complaining, he would have come up with some solid DATA to back up what he says by now..
Here’s a challenge for you… When you hooked that bass at 13:44 the school chased it back to the boat. So next time you do this have another rod and lure ready to drop in the water and see if you can hook another…
Dude!!!! U are a PRO at using that LS.....to hit those Bass......and find the food source!!!!! Keep it up!!!! I just got mine.....I hope I can get as efficient as you One day!!!!!!
My secret weapon....no one is throwing for bass.......kastmasters jigged off the bottom. Killer!! Heavier than a flutter spoon but lighter than a jigging spoon. Plus the gold or silver flash really helps. Great video!!
@msrambo00 depends on where they are at. I was catching small mouth on the bottom in 40+ feet and random large mouth bass swimming mid-column in 90ft. Just have to find the bait first as he said.
@@dredknot636 yes I understand that but you fish the drop shot mid water column without touching the bottom? I was just thinking drop shot is mostly for bottom fishing.
Jonny - I love your videos bro! Video request - there are so many videos on RUclips on how to adjust the settings on graphs. Can you do a video on what your images look like if you have something wrong? Like, interference by hooking up to the same battery as your trolling motor, lithium batteries vs normal marine batteries, improperly placed transducer.. etc. thanks!
@@BayJoua He was quoting an infisherman article but I imagine it's like bringing up a diver too fast and giving him the bends. I heard decades ago if you bring a fish up from 40' and put him in the live well it will be floating belly up.
Do you have any suggestions on the Garmin striker vivid 7SV settings. It comes pretty crisp out-of-the-box but I know you can always make it better that's what I have at the bow of my boat for 2d and down imaging as of right now.
What were these fish relating to? The big fish in my home lake(very small) seem to disappear in the summer and I feel like they roam with the shad but never on anything obvious
There is a major creek channel that feeds a creek where the bass spawn. The bass were suspended in the middle of the creek channel feeding on shad. They will eventually follow the creek channel into the creek and spawn. The lake I was on didn't have a great contour map, so I couldn't show this. I'll be going to bigger lakes in the future with good mapping and will explain where I am fishing in more detail.
white bass will stacked 8 - 10 fish high on the screen and be in much larger schools this time of year (15 - 50 white bass). The groups of bass I found were stacked no more than 4 fish high and the school had less than 10 fish.
Fantastic video. But, you are so lucky to have 65.4 F temperature of water in the winter. In my home waters (Serbia) we have now 42 F or even less and it’s very hard to catch bass.
On a 30,000+ acre lake, how do you "find the bait"? You said in the example "to graph to find the gizzards". Where do I begin "graphing in a 30,000+ acre lake"? Warmest water, cleanest water, mainlake, north/south facing pockets/creeks, THE CHANNEL regardless of mainlake/pockets/creeks, etc? I can spend HOURS upon HOURS just graphing and NEVER see a bait ball. When I do find one, it's not massive by the looks on my screen. I found a pocket with water temps 5 degrees higher than most other places on the lake and it was LOADED with baitfish but didn't see anything that looked like fish on my graph....didn't catch anything either. Meanwhile, the top 12 or so in the tournament had 20+ lb bags of greenfish. Tired of getting my teeth kicked in....
All I learned from this video is how hard live scope fishing really is. I mean, of course easier than not having it, but mastering it seems really tough.
It’s definitely not like shooting fish in a barrel. I probably threw my bait in front of 50 fish in 1 hour of fishing and only caught 3. You need to read the behavior of the fish based on how it’s positioned, how it moves, how it responds to your bait and more. It’s still a lot easier to fish offshore with Livescope than without, but it’s not a silver bullet by any means. You also have to find them first!

Man i so want livescope, don't care what Randy says I want it.
I can't wait until Randy buys a livescope and uses it. 😁

Love the view of your screen while fishing, very informative
Amazing video! Now time for a seminar on line,Jonny!!!
I love these live scope videos…. You learn so much watching bass on livescope
Great video, all I can say is you are dialed in. You are the man!
Great video. Enjoy watching the livescope views.

Another great video Johnny. Enjoyed it and learned a lot. Looking forward to the next video. Keep them coming!!!
I love this channel. It teaches me to catch more fish.
That was awesome 👌 you can't explain it any better than that. Once again great job.🙂
Good to see this. Tells me I am not to far off of what works.
Good stuff Jonny! Really enjoy watching you explain the process while your fishing!

Excellent video!! Your on the water instructions are THE best!!
Love the on the water videos.
I'm going to work on this technique this upcoming season. Greatly appreciate the video.
Very good information and tips on your video I really appreciate seeing the forward facing sonar being used thanks and good fishing 🎣
Great info! How do you think 2D sonar ,down imaging & side scan , and livescope? In sequence, or when
(2D sonar vs down imaging), thanks
Yes Yes Yes!!! These are awesome tutorials! Great work!!! Thanks….😊
Another great video. Appreciate the close up on the bait.
Bro an independent turret for your LS XDCR will change your life!! Great vid as always!
I've caught so many fish this winter doing this with a drop shot and active target. Crazy how well it works.
When your using a drop shot are you on the bottom or in the middle of the water column when using livescope?

Awesome video! Jonny I wish you would teach Randy how to do this. Maybe he wouldn’t be so grumpy and have some fun!
will a damiki rig work in summer & also what about bass suspended at night in summer? Thanks

How mad is Randy right now…😅
Just watched Randy's video 30 minutes ago talking about catching them out of deeper water can cause delayed mortality and damages the fish population.
@@ronforeman5317 yes I saw the same video.

@@ronforeman5317 that is true. That’s why you have to fizz them in the livewell, let them regain energy and then release them after.
The hook up tackle is a great place for Japanese, especially megabass products.
Jonny is proof new school fishing is here to stay.
Great video as always!!
Man this stuff is amazing!! Love it
Can you do a review of portable/castable fish finders?
Outstanding a video appreciate you guys
I just received my 4" hazedong shad in ghost shad solid!
Where did you reorder them?
Awesome way to start my morning
Split screen catches with the FFS is the reason I tune in. Great work.

I've never used one before and I'm not very familiar with Garmin 2D and down imaging because my Garmin only has a Livescope Transducer.
@@FishtheMoment I understand, I appreciate you getting back to me. Stay safe out there
Love this format
Great video. What size hook do you use. Is it a 3/8 ounce 3/0 hook? Thanks
Good stuff like always
its not the damiki rig its the front facing sonar.... they will eat a lot of things if you place it right on them like in the video.....
Love your videos. Do you still have a discount code for Denali rods.
Great video homie! Check out the Queen Tackle tungsten heads. Much more compact and streamline
How often are bass suspended above bait? Most videos I’ve watched they are typically below the bait??
I hope you ran this video passed Randy first....lol
I enjoyed it thanks..This 50 year old loves livescope
Yep bet ol RB is not happy .
Hates LS and just did a vid on not to pull fish from over 20 ft deep 😅
No wonder he won’t answer my calls… haha
Lol
Don’t fish over 20 feet. Everyone north of the mason dixon now has to stop fishing

I still do not always get clear screen and bait and fish separation on screen..?
How did you know those were bass and not white bass?
white bass will stacked 8 - 10 fish high on the screen and be in much larger schools this time of year (15 - 50 white bass). The groups of bass I found were stacked no more than 4 fish high and the school had less than 10 fish.

I guess Randy and Jonny will now go their separate ways?
Maybe someday youll make a fishing video.........but not this moment! FFS is a crutch.
