did you switch your audio input on windows?
i recommend buying a AI as it has phantom power and a audio input gain... it will allow the mic to work better and if you are using it with a phone then just stop and use it with a AI onto a computer using a xlr to xlr

May be a dumb question but can you connect this microphone to a smartphone? Since it has a 3.5MM Jack it could work with a smartphone right?
Colin Donovan it needs phantom power. I haven’t tried it because my phones are Apple and they don’t have the input. I don’t think the phone has enough energy to make it work.

Your voice sounds sharper with this microphone. Also it has less volume than the other, you would have to add a gain to compensate. The treble can be by the position of the microphone, one is up and more direct to your mouth and the other takes the voice from below.
Is it 3.5mm?

Hi I really need some help! I bought this mic and I don't know how to use it. I don't have a phantom power nor a USB adapter but I cannot connect my mic to my mac. It says that the mic is a headphone and whatever I do, the mic just acts like a headphone... Do I need a USB adapter for it to work? PLEASE ANYONE HELPPP!!!!!!!!
Katebeeoni you need the audio interface for it to work on your Mac. Invest on a good audio interface. The audiobox by presonus is what I use and it come with the recording software. Really easy to use.

Just got one for MustangMedic I like it but it's not very sensitive. I bought a NEEWER power supply. Is there software for it for my iMac?
Mustang Medic I’m sure there’s free software out there. My interface came bundled with it. That’s why I chose it over a power supply. Just do a search for free recording software and try them. I think traktion has a free version. Good luck.

Don't reccomend this mic, it has an awful buzzing noise in the background and it FELL APART, i'm not kidding...
The Rodway mine is holding up pretty good. I don’t get any buzzing when I use it with an usb audio interface. Sounds like you got a bad one. You should contact the manufacturer and let them know. Good luck

You had the 800 closer than the 801 and that made a difference in the volume but the 801 seems to have a more mellow tone.

I got into some financial issues. Switched jobs and my schedule makes it hard to do this. I’m going to start recording soon. I was going to do a my collection series. I collect random stuff. Thanks for reaching out.
Gosh dude....You should have elevated that microphone, so as to speak directly into it....we wanted to hear how full and warm.the quality of the microphone was....but sadly, you just bent over and said four words....and that was it.....it's all about testing and reviewing the product properly, so we can then decide on purchasing or not
Anyone happen to know the difference between this mic and the TZ stellar x2?
Thomas other than it should be a better mic, I really don’t know. I’m satisfied with mine as I only use it to record my videos and some interviews. Sorry I couldn’t help.

I have a sound card USB adapter that came with mine, which I’m trying to use as a microphone for my canon hf r800. It’s a camcorder with specifically a mic jack input besides an av/headphone input. So I figured I could just directly put my XLR cable jack into it and record. But for some reason it doesn’t pick up any sound from the ZY-801... in case it’s important to mention, I haven’t plugged in headphones along the microphone’s jack into the camcorder, and the camcorder does not have a USB input so plugging the sound card in isn’t an option.
Evan Ross Evan Ross I believe you are going to need an external recorder. Your camera isn’t compatible with this mic.

o Ravenn I haven’t tried it as I don’t own an iPad. But it’s doesn’t work on iPhone. My guess it won’t. You will still need an audio card.

I am using an HP PC Windows 10.
I have tried the plug and play. NO SOUND.
I tried plugging it in directly to the microphone port that came with the PC. NO SOUND
I tried plugging it in directly to a speaker. NO SOUND.
The ad says "Include Sound card." There is no sound card.
I tried to make adjustments in Control Panel. Nothing works. NO SOUND
When it is connected it turns off all other sounds on the PC. NO SOUND
NO INSTRUCTIONS for any of this in the box. They just claim plug and play. NO SOUND
.
Does anyone have step by step installation instructions for this product using WIndows 10?

@@dzgflaco1 I need a new sound card with latest tech. Mic works with phantom power, but high pitch buzz and no volume. Does not with plugged in to my sound card's mic port. With usb adapter it's awful.

Dude you probably didn't reply to my earlier comments , because you thought I was bashing you....but I wasn't...all I was doing, was drawing it to your attention, that you spoke too far from the microphones...we never had the chance to fully judge the mic performance , it's warm, full sound......we need you to do that with both the zingyou bm800 and the zingyou zy 801....let's hear what they really sound like, being spoken into the right way.....and for the record, we enjoyed how you did your presentation ....it's just that we didn't get to see and hear the zingyou full sound
The distance is fine. Never get too close to a mic of this type because they take a lot of breath, unless you want to do ASMR. The distance depends on the type of capsule used by the microphone, this has a capacitor capsule that uses a voltage of 5V DC so the distance would be the same as you would use in a condenser, not an electret microphone. That is, from 15 to 35 cm of the microphone, closer to 15 cm if you do not know how to correctly project the voice.
Can someone help me? I sound very quiet an I'm not sure on how to fix this, I've played around with microphone volume and bass boosting levels but I still seem to sound quiet, If I turn the bass boosting too high I hear a buzzing sound.

Facundo Ballantines it doesn’t really need it but I would recommend getting phantom power.
Why tell the people that the Mic doesn't really need phantom power....that's a very wrong statement to make and misleading as well, especially when you yourself didn't do much research on the product before presenting it on RUclips ....dude, all condenser microphones, require phantom power , to power up the microphone ....unlike dynamic microphones, that's just plug and play .... plugging a condenser microphone directly into a computer will result in it not working, or, the quality, sound , would be terrible ....those microphones require and need an audio interface, that had 48 volts of phantom power.....let your subscribers know, that condenser microphones need and require a phantom power of 48 volts to power up the microphone , in order for it to perform properly

@@yfaofficial07 please understand that all condenser microphones need to be used with either a usb mixer, or usb audio interface which has built-in preamp and 48 volts phantom power .... when a condenser mic is powered up properly, the quality is improved greatly....if you connect a condenser mic into a laptop , or dslr, which cannot supply proper power/voltage to the mic, your audio quality would be very poor....the only mic you can just plug and play into a pc is a USB microphone and a dynamic microphone....not a condenser microphone.....hope that helps

Come on dude, you spoke too far away from the microphones...you were also way too high above it....I was deprived of actually hearing the true quality of those microphones...bearing in mind, they are cardioid condenser microphones....smh....I really did not enjoy this review

Alex Lauren Castillo audiobox is a brand of an audio interface. This specific mic says it doesn’t require any phantom power, however it will perform at it’s best with it. I’m a Mac user, and I don’t have a mic input. Therefore I have to use the interface.

Ok so what your going to need is a behringer audio mixer anywhere from 50-300 dollars and you can do that to make it work it sounds really good on my computer about to buy an audio mixer here soon
