Wow! Another great video Shawn! So much good information. You are amazing! It was great to see Mocha, Dazzle and Burberry. It seems to be an evening ritual to watch your videos as I miss my dog dearly, but when I see the videos, the dogs make me smile, especially Mocha smiling in the camera. Good luck to Dazzle!

My Schnauzers and my Havanese love carrots but Poppi loves apples. She is right there wiggling her whole body waiting for a piece. I also feed them eggs from my chickens as well and all the dogs love them!
Yes! I love your eggs too - they are yummy and beautiful. I am so grateful when I get eggs from you and Sandy that still have the bloom on them (not washed) - these make a great opportunity to put the egg shells in water and blend them up to use as the water in my stew pot before the meat goes in to be cooked - thus adding calcium to the dog food I am serving. THANK YOU for this comment 😍❤️
Following up on the comment from @growingpuppies1773....This is really interesting and helpful but I also wonder about how to ensure that homemade diets are nutritionally complete (and safe). I also wonder about monitoring the fat content to make sure it stays fairly low, as I believe is recommended for mini schnauzers. I'd also like to hear specifically what about feeding kibble caused you concern. Thank you!

As soon as puppies are able to enjoy eating the mush then i will begin to take the same food I am feeding the adults and put it in my blender and make it into mush for the puppies. Thank you and congratulations on your new puppy!
Hello from Phoenix! We have a 16 week old mini schnauzer puppy and I have been watching every one of your videos. They have been so helpful! As a first time mini schnauzer mom I have read that you have to be careful about the fat content in their food and it has caused me enough concern that I have been sticking to a "breed specific" kibble for our little girl. I would love to make food like you do. As you are an expert, is there anything I need to watch out for? Thank you!
Thank you! You can feed the same foods I do just drain the fat off the meat before you serve to your girl. (I don't do that because I am feeding moms who are nursing and need the extra.) You will notice I'm using sweet potato and carrots and apples and other fruits (but no grains.) I have heard that the cause of the issues may be the grains not the fat but still good to drain off the excess fat when cooking the meats for your puppy when she is an adult.

These foods are awesome…but how can we be sure it is balanced? What stands out to me is I don’t see organ meat or calcium added. Perhaps you can share the source for your diet plan. Or is there a dog nutritionist that advises you? Thanks!
