This game came out in 2014 and you're JUST adding a generations pack (when there's already a "parenthood" pack). You have to buy two different expansions for adults and children to ride bikes?? Unbelievable lol and yet believable. Such a shame the sims franchise is in the toilet. This is essentially Generations which, in my opinion, was the best expansion pack from the sims 3. I love family dynamics. Parenthood helped me enjoy playing the sims 4 ❤️
@@redhotwinter I already know it won’t be as good, there are no walking canes. Can’t teens to drive without cars, no wedding gameplay because that’s a complete separate pack you have to buy and it’s still broken. No teens were even seen in the game because that gameplay is also in another separate pack. It can’t be as good.
@@S-Dfan i just don’t get why there are no cars or even stores in sims 4! like if you could drive in sims 4 it would be so much better i don’t understand why you see cars driving on the road yet you can’t actually drive yourself…
Looking at this pack makes me realize that as an adult, I’m actually living this pack when back in middle school playing Sims 3 with Generations was what I was imagining my future to be. Hope the teens that play this pack today find inspiration for what they want in their future.
You guys should make a family photo album we can access and put our favorite family photos into and eventually scrap book out of. It could pull up like the phone notes. It would be fun to have a record to refer to to document the growth of a sim over its lifetime with baby photos, prom photos, senior portraits, wedding photos, graduation pictures, etc. there could be an action of showing the photos to others.
They did that in sims 3 and it was very glitchy, saving to much to a save will bloat it and sims 4 can't get away with it for to long if they did that too.
Or like the spellcaster book 🥰 I would die if they do this, I take photos of all my families before someone gets older 😁😁 Hope someday something like this could be in the game
Yeah! I can't wait for this to be out. I felt the same way for other previous expansion packs like Snowy Escape, Werewolves or High School Years, I just can't wait for this to be out.
My mom passed away when i was 6 years old. I remembered when Generation came out, I made my family for the first time in Sims 3 and share with her, all the moment that I couldn't in RL. It was a healing experience, in a way. I was waiting for so long this pack in sims 4, and now I will do that again and live new adventures.
@@novasclouds Thanks a lot. It was the first time i was able to deal with that. All my life, in all my achivement i was thinking "i hope my mother was hefe with me". And I remember cheating A LOT, in order to recreated my life, with ups and downs to share it with her.
I lost my mom as well, though I wasn't nearly as young as you were. I'm so sorry for your loss, but how beautiful you found a way to experience what you couldn't otherwise ❤
This is literally probably cutest trailers I have ever seen🥹 the treehouses, bikes for kids, puzzles, helping elders, walks , water park … everything together It looks so good I cannot wait, I cannot wait
@@Ilivepuppys YES! I was so happy to see this come back from the Sims 2! I loved handing over the baby between the parents or family. It was so precious. To finally see it back really makes me so giddy!
If this will make sims feel more like actual people and make family members feel like they even know and care about each other, I'm all for it (assuming that the pack even works!!)
Wow! So if you combine this with Parenthood, High School Years, My Wedding Stories, Kids Stuff, Toddler Stuff, and Nifty Knitting (for the rocking chairs), you can finally have Sims 4 Generations! (Remember when all this was one expansion pack?)
Couldn’t help but have a tear in my eye towards the end of the video. Finally a representation of Generations which I played for countless hours and will forever have a special place in my heart. I remember treehouses, home videos, and so many small details that made the game special; I see that some of these key gameplay elements in Generations will now be included with Growing Together. Thank you.
I hope its not just a cool video trick and if you have family outside the family they can be called or ask to come over for a couple days! Like room mates.
This is what so many of us were asking for. Yay!! Not only does the content look good, the trailer has a bit of a nostalgic feel to it like the older sims games by being silly.
Interaction between younger life stages and infants will be amazing! I love how children interact with babies IRL it's so cute so I hope we get a bunch of new actions!
New things I have spotted: . NEW WORLD (San Sequoia) . Doing puzzles activity . Family centre community lots (?) . Picture wall for kids drawings . Cinema rabbit hole (Presumably) . Sleepovers . Sleeping Bags . Rocketship play item (Maybe build-able?) . WATERPARK! . New items for infants . Learning to ride bikes . Baby carriers . Balloon wakeup prank . Losing teeth and gaining pocket money . Build-able treehouses . Confetti cannons . Birthday gift giving . New rocking chairs . Old people jog (Power walking) . Grand parents coming to stay (Suitcase) . Domino board game . Old people not knowing how to use technology lol . Picnics
Omg the toddler kicking the lady in the shin and the parent dropping the camera and running to them was the best part 😂😂 however I’m super excited and now them releasing the update next month makes complete sense lol.
I saw the glowing tooth above the sim childs head and i always hold out hope for a memories system 🤞🏼 its what made TS2 stories soo meaningful, like getting to know new people instead of just the same character dressed a different way. It may never come to TS4 but if it did, my gameplay would be complete
Choice music! Anyone wondering the song is Ooh La La by Faces. Matches really well with the theme if you know the lyrics, its about growing older and wishing you knew better as you eventually see your grandchild learning the same way. With some love and heartbreak along the way ;)
Honestly parenthood had so much gameplay and items, especially for a game pack. That I can’t be mad it didn’t have more- plus there will be plenty of time to complain when nothing works for the first few months so there’s no need now
@@lillianmcghee872 they probably can’t include that much stuff in a game pack tho? i mean the game packs are supposed to be like half the size of an expansion pack, but i get ur point tho
I thought that too! Also at the end of this part of the stream they showed a toddler, grim reaper, and what looked like a teen taking a bath, and with the new hearing aid part of the update today amongst other things it makes me think of elders and lifestages!
Being someone who uses a manual wheelchair to get around it means a lot that The Sim team has brought more diversity to the game. I love everything I’m seeing in this upcoming pack as well, especially since I usually like to play out families in my gameplay, but to me it’s just the cherry on the top!
I have been wanting more stuff like this for ages too, things like walking aids, wheelchairs, etc. and things that will allow us to show our sims with disabilities or other injuries such as casts, crutches, canes for the blind, etc. I know these will be really difficult to do with the complexity of them but I would love to see it
I absolutely love how this looks! From the infant and toddler interactions and the items to the focus on elders, The Sims 4 Generations (Growing Together) is looking so good. I also love the song that was picked for this. Probably can't afford a new pack right now but I'm excited to see what my favorite Simtubers do with this pack.
I really love the look of this I love how there's more interaction with the babies and toddlers and I love how you can carry the baby on your back with the holder, change the baby on the mat, teaching kids to bike ride. Love it
This looks so amazing! I can only hope that the sims team are being given the proper amount of time to program this, so that it’s not as buggy as the past few expansions. I love playing the sims, I’m an Occult AND Family simmer. I have a vampire legacy challenge going in rn and they literally all act like total strangers, especially towards the famous uncle who I have to “attempt” an into with every time he visits 😭
That’s really cool. I’m an occult/ family starter simmer, but I have a habit of moving on to a new save before even getting through the first generation. I can never progress very far with the occults because I’m always starting over again with a new household
idk when yall will realize ALL games in general are buggy especially if its a new realease. packs are always gonna be buggy on day one and get patched as soon as they can be fixed.
@@kittykori only because there are still people who make it slide. This is a free update, but the Sims have the same approach with paid expansions (which are really pricey for the minimum that they offer). It is not some little bugs too, for example, the Wedding one made the game so incredibly broken it was unplayable.
@@user-xq6cn3xx3e sure but yall are hypocrites. literally NO game is perfect. you still play the game even if theres issues. and yes the games are expensive i agree but thats why you wait for sales. they literally JUST had a 50% off lunar sale on all expansions, stuff packs, AND kits. it ended feb 2nd. even at that, the prices are basically the same as the sims 3 versions back then. they had the game store and expansion packs on there too with the same amount of items give or take.
@@kittykori People are allowed to be angry and disappointed when something they paid for is messed up. Red dead 2, GTA, Alien Isolation, Detroit: Become Human, all great games that would never do any bs that EA has done! Remember how sh*tty cyberpunk 2077 was, people complained and expressed their disgust with that game. And guess what, the developers got their sh*t together and fixed it. How is a company supposed to improve and grow if there is no negative feedback? Thankful people unlike you spoke up about the problems the game is having and what it lacks. And look where that got us. Infants! 9 years f***ing later?
Hope this pack won't be as glitchy as High School Years was since this is THE PACK (almost) we all have been waiting for YEARS. 🤞🏻 Also, OMG tree-houses and changing tables! 😭💚
Well since the base game is still full of issues that can't fix or it'd break almost the whole game and they have to rework all previous packs we should expect glitches, Sims 4 was a rush job. I sincerely hope Sims 5 will take its time.
Feels like the obvious incoming features could all be part of already existing packs/expansions, or even easily obtainable CC. Here's to hoping it's at least playable by the time it comes out.
I’m glad that it’s not coming out right away so the sims team has a chance to look at the community’s feedback. Honestly I’m really excited! It looks like it could definitely be a solid pack. The only thing I’m a bit bummed out about is there is no mention of daycare or babysitters. I feel like that would be such a good opportunity for an active career. I’m curious to see how all this shakes out.
Maybe teenagers can start early on their education careers with baby sitting jobs first. They’ll even show up to ur house at certain times to take care of the kid like a nanny but still make little mistakes
This is the ONLY thing I wish they added in this pack: Active Daycare Career. I hope the idea isn't scrapped at this point and maybe there's room for it in a Infant/Toddler type of GP for more objects.
im so excited for this pack! the infant and toddler/child interactions are adorable, elders are finally getting deeper gameplay, we have bikes, and the cc for infants is going to be adorable! im so ready for march this year!
We desperately need an update on relationships. There’s few reasons our sims get out but there’s also not much happening at home. Players get bored the minute they log in i think we’re all just exhausted pretending stuff is happening between our sims when clearly they are all the same in different CC hair
What update do you need? Everytime people say things like this, I wonder what type of social stuff they want added despite the fact that it’s been that way in every sims game
@@BabyGirlTiny definitely not in every sims game, especially when it comes to relationships. At least in sims 3 there is some depth, but in sims 2 interactions are rich af. There is a one-sided relationship system! Consequences, sentiments, and memories matter in the previous game, especially in sims 2
It probably will be slightly broken considering the fact it goes infant update then immediately after the expansion comes out, but hopefully it’s just like minor glitches and not major things that ruin the whole thing until an update later
@@Jadeykins they didn't jinx it tho. We already know it's gonna be extremely broken. There hasn't been a Sims game that isn't a buggy mess, except maybe Sims 1
i haven’t been excited and delighted this much from the sims since cottage living. if it ends up being as good as it looks, this will HANDS down be the best pack!
I always wanted extended family to be able to come over and visit an immediate family this is great. It looks like other households can come over and visit and that’s exciting.
@Kaitland O Me too! Right now all they do is talk to each other. I remember in TS2, they could play Mary Mack, Cops and Robbers, Play Tag with each other :)
I think (am hoping) this will be the one that will reignite my love for the sims. I love the in depth family dynamics. It really makes the sims feel like...the sims! Im so excited!
@George Ashraf true! that would be great. and i hope they also fix the issue where when you visit your parents they kick you out for trying to shower or sleep in your own home lol
I hope the family trees will expand more like they’ll actually view step parents as step parents and not just strangers. Edit: when watching a youtuber read the blog notes for this game it says “your sims family trees will now reflect more complex family relationships.”
I think it is just a new family added to the base game on one of the lots this adds diversity as well as a toddler that they did not have before with the families that came pre loaded on the lots.
Sims 4 is like a toxic bf/gf. When you think you are done with them, they come out with something like this that brings you right back, just for it to be all buggy. 😅
OMG this looks amazing! So glad there's more socialization. I think that's why y'all used Growing Together, because it's like Get Together. An underrated pack that works with ALL packs. Love it!
I’m looking really forward to this pack, it looks great! The only thing I wish they added were strollers for babies, infants and toddlers (or infants and toddlers at least). That would have been the icing. Maybe they’ll add that before it comes out. We can hope, there’s still a chance. Other than that, I’m really excited for it😊💙
Strollers are cute, but I like the baby carrier so it lets the sims still hug other Sims and multitask. It basically has the same functionality. The only thing I wish they had in this was the Daycare career!
at least something for the toddlers. Since kids have bikes and infants have the carrier, what is a toddler supposed to do? They need something to be put in or maybe a bike with training wheels so they can keep up with the family.
@@Mar-pe9kx The toddlers have more content than kids, let's be real. They have more interactions with kids and infants. They also are getting quirks just like infants, so a slew of new personality bits.
@@Mar-pe9kx Maybe toddlers should have tricycles? Either way, hopefully strollers will come out in some sort of Infant Stuff Pack. We got one for kids and toddlers, so it seems logical infants get one too
i can’t express enough how excited i am for this pack. this is everything i’ve wanted in a sims game. sims for me is my way to escape my ptsd and anxiety, it’s helped me so much over the years. it’s been apart of my life since i was a little kid, and i’m truly so excited for this. tysm sims team ❤️
This looks sooooo good 😍😍 and I just hope it’s executed as well as the trailer portrays, because us family Simmers have been begging for this gameplay since TS4 launch. We have been so patient 🥺 - I have my hopes up really high, you guys! Don’t let us down 🥺
Right! I just realized there wasn't one in the trailer 😭 Imaginary Friends was like my Top 3 Favorite Occults alongside Vampires & Spellcasters. I'm so sad now that I was just reminded of it. 😔😔😔
omg you're right!! this makes me so nostalgic, I loved this feature too! couldn't the imaginary friend become a real person once the child turns into an adult or sth like that?
There has been a leak. It's an EP that's based on family bonds and other relationships. It features how life milestones effect your Sims' character (they mention having a midlife crisis as an example, so I'm hoping this means there is some content for older Sims as well). They also mention how some Sims are instantly compatible and others aren't (maybe some form of attraction system if they take it further than only character traits?). Truly exciting news! Just makes it even more unnecessary that they waited another 2 days to release the news if someone literally drops a leak the following day.^^
@@ka-Rin if you're referring to parenthood I don't think this is anything like that, parenthood focuses on raising children, this expansion similar to "generations" instead focuses on a sim's personal life and goes through all their ages. like the midlife crisis
@@giulia7315 I'm referring to the game in general and the things this person pointed out would be in the game. We have things like that and yeah the family pack is kind of like that.
I’m really excited for this pack! I hope my families will finally be able to sit down to eat meals together now, mealtime is always so frustrating especially with large families!
so I'm waiting to launch, and to come once in March, that already can't wait to appear and update with infants, and after the update with infants comes this expansion, and I see that in the comments the world is already waiting anxiously.
I'm so emotional watching this trailer. I've been playing Sims since it first came out, I was in elementary. I played it with thoughts of hoping to have the life I build in Sims, full of happiness around family. I stopped playing a few years ago when work got in the way as I'm now an adult with bills to pay, and no time to play. Fast forward to now in 2023, I'm in my late 20s, and I have a 5-month old baby. It's ironic how this comes out in the midst of my life as a new parent. All the new features in this expansion pack is so realistic. I can now fully relate to the things that I make my Sims do.. I'm pretty much playing Sims in real life now. Hoping I find time to play this!
I really love family gameplay I just don't want to be disappointed with buggy gameplay I just hope they take their time with this pack and make it good because we spend our hard earned money on these packs
😢 I am literally crying with joy right now over this trailer. I am so blown away. I have waited so long to see the joys of of this pack come to life I absolutely love this
Okay...I'm having really high hopes for this pack! From what I've seen already, it's going to be a great pack and I just can't wait! I hope March 16th rolls by veeeeery quickly! Oh well, I have plenty other games to keep me busy in the meantime!

For PC users, there's a mod for this by RAVASHEEN
Or like the spellcaster book 🥰 I would die if they do this, I take photos of all my families before someone gets older 😁😁 Hope someday something like this could be in the game

The shot of the Elders fast-walking with the little girl is too damn cute.
I love it, I’m excited and grateful for this pack-but honestly we all know this should’ve been in parenthood 😭
I'm glad somebody said it. :( I'm excited for the new stuff but why isnt this stuff in Parenthood.

Honestly parenthood had so much gameplay and items, especially for a game pack. That I can’t be mad it didn’t have more- plus there will be plenty of time to complain when nothing works for the first few months so there’s no need now

I thought that too! Also at the end of this part of the stream they showed a toddler, grim reaper, and what looked like a teen taking a bath, and with the new hearing aid part of the update today amongst other things it makes me think of elders and lifestages!

This is a real song “Ooh La La” by Faces.
Being someone who uses a manual wheelchair to get around it means a lot that The Sim team has brought more diversity to the game. I love everything I’m seeing in this upcoming pack as well, especially since I usually like to play out families in my gameplay, but to me it’s just the cherry on the top!

What if they bring back canes? 😂 I’m craving the elder gameplay. Atp all my elders do is sleep and eat.
I have been wanting more stuff like this for ages too, things like walking aids, wheelchairs, etc. and things that will allow us to show our sims with disabilities or other injuries such as casts, crutches, canes for the blind, etc. I know these will be really difficult to do with the complexity of them but I would love to see it
Isn't the point of sims to get away from reality and be who you want?
I absolutely love how this looks! From the infant and toddler interactions and the items to the focus on elders, The Sims 4 Generations (Growing Together) is looking so good. I also love the song that was picked for this. Probably can't afford a new pack right now but I'm excited to see what my favorite Simtubers do with this pack.
Families have always been my kind of type of Sims game, glad to see a pack dedicated to that! 😊
@@kittykori only because there are still people who make it slide.
